This review might be very long my apologies in advance. I came to the ER back in 2013 with pain in my right calf. I waited for about 4 hours to be seen. After waiting for all those hours I was told by the nurse I didnt need to see a doctor because I was young and strong and all I had was a pinched nerve on my back. Because I love to read and be very informed all the time, I had already read all about my pain and what it could be and what test should be done to find out what it was. So I told her very patiently that I wanted an ultrasound of my legs and she argued with me that I didnt need one. At this point I was very angry and told her I had all right to get one. I demanded one and she finally asked the ultrasound people to come and disappeared didnt see that nurse again for the rest of the night. When the ultrasound people got to my ER room they asked why I demanded an ultrasound I said because I educated my self and all the symptoms was pointing to a Blood Clot and not a pinched nerve. So they did the Ultrasound and Bam. There it was I had a DVT ( deep venonous thrombosis ) behind my knees. If I had listen to that nurse I could have died that night. Thank God I didnt. I was admitted immediately. That same day I found out I was a factor 2 carrier. The doctor that took care of me when I was admitted the worst ever, she was so rude. 2 days after being treated she sent me home, even though I complained I couldnt breath and had chest pain she didnt even care to check if I had a pulmonary embolism. When I left the hospital got home I was back the next day because I almost died with a PE ( Pulmonary Embolism) Thanks to the lovely doctor that discharged me before I was ready to go home. Besides the ER wait, the nurse at the ER and the Rude Doctor that took care of me. Everything else was great, the people, the food, the beds, the cleanliness, everything. With this experience I was scared to ever come back to Good Samaritan Medical Center ever again. I always do though because if you compare all the hospital around Good Sam is still the best one. So this year once again I needed to visit the ER and be hospitalized. My experience was much different. Still had the bad times but I also had my good times. I was sent to the Hospital by my doctor she had requested me to be admitted. I sat at the ER from 7pm till 7am the next day waiting all that time, they finally called me in and when they did the doctor comes in and tells me theres nothing he can do for me and he was sending me home.. LOL a joke right? I called my PCP right away and I said either you fight this one or I will and things will not be pretty. So he did and I was admitted. Come up to the Floor the 1st doctor didnt give too much attention to me and didnt care much about my problems. The nurses where very nice. Late that night my roommate decided she wanted to kill me and said she was going to throw things at me and she didnt want to see or hear me. So the nurses had to move me immediately to a different room. The next morning I had the Best doctor his name is Dr. Spiegel what a nice Guy talked to me like I was a human i liked that. Even though he said there is nothing more he can do for me and they are sending me home. He still said it and explained it so nicely that it made me understand and calm instead of freaking out and nervous. The nurses I had on this side are just amazing as well, Heather, Steph, and all other ones :) I just wish I didnt have to go home with out a cure to my situation other than that Im ok with this visit :)

TERRIBLE! I was sent to the hospital ER right from Health Express with EKG in hand and heart monitor pads still in place where they said I was most likely having a cardiac episode and probably a blood clot in my lung, by my symptoms. I had to lay on my floor for an hour to be able to move with pain running up my jaw, head and arm, I thought I was dying!!! This was the day BEFORE THANKSGIVING. The wait wasnt too long because Health Express called ahead and another EKG was done in triage. I was lucky with the nurses and testing didnt take too long BUT THEN, A cocky older doctor came into the room and started talking about bad drugs coming from Mexico and how narcotics can be addicting?!?? I guess this was his way of saying, tough too bad that your in pain but sorry go home and shut up basically, Mind you, while I was there I DIDNT even ask for PAIN MEDICATION although I was in pain. They did give me a shot of something in my IV then I got a super strong anti inflammatory in my IV that worked for a short time.. They said that I "probably" had a pinched nerve in my back that was causing the pain. Well, Hell, Sorry that Im in pain and the Doctor must think ALL people who waste hours of their time laying in your ER are drug seekers! SHAMEFUL! I wasted over 6 hours to be talked down to by a doctor who didnt even SEE ME, he just came in to say "your done" and pain meds are addicting and can lead to Heroin usage?? For real? This guy must be OUT OF HIS MIND! The nurses I got WERE great, THANK GOD, but other than that, the Doctor was terrible and they obviously DO NOT care about the person.. I had company coming the next day and I was cooking a full turkey dinner and I couldnt get ANY relief! In the end I left with a muscle relaxers that left me exhausted and still in pain.

I must be having amnesia, since I forgot how awful this place was. Ive never been to the e.r. here without being treated rudely. I came in because my whole body feels like its on fire. Since I suspect my cat has Ringworm because hes lost patches of fur, I thought I had it so I claimed to have a rash, not knowing that a rash is a visible itch. I still dont know. The treatment provider, Juliana Karakhana, didnt explain it to me, but justlike yelled at me like I was wasting her time. She was wasting mine. If I didnt say it was a rash, but an itch, shed have to examine me for real instead of the 5 minutes wouldnt she? All she did was check to see whether or not I have a rash. She didnt try to see whats wrong with me. This is just lazy. When I tried to ask her what it could be or if its contagious, again she not only did not let me voice my concerns but didnt make me feel better at all, only worse. She concluded it was a bug bite. Apparently one bug can make me feel like my whole body is on fire. What bug? Idk. This is typical Good Sam work. They know nothing, dont care to find out, but will always give a diagnosis. She was getting angry because I was asking her legitimate questions, and I tried my best to keep it simple and short. She was probably angry because I made ger look imcompetent.
