The worst dentist I have ever been to. They dont care about you or your teeth, just about their money. First, I thought it was really weird that the last time I went in for an exam (a few months ago), they tried to charge me $100+ for items that I didnt need. At first, they wouldnt tell me what it was for, just the exam. It wasnt until I pressed them further, insisting that I shouldnt have had anything to pay at all (my exam was covered by insurance), that they finally told me that it was for a bunch of unnecessary junk that I neither asked for nor needed. I hadnt even had the exam yet either, they were just looking to get a few more dollars out of me. I had 14 fillings done in the span of just a couple of weeks last fall. At the exam mentioned above, it was brought up that a few of them would need to be redone, as they werent done properly the first time. Due to pregnancy, it was determined that I would have to wait until the babys born in order to get this done, which is fine - I understand the risks and can wait. However, I called this morning to see if I could have a dentist look at my teeth. One of the fillings, on the same side as all the fillings that need to be redone, feels as though its coming out of my tooth. Its very rough and its rubbing my tongue raw. I am in constant pain. When I brought this up to the receptionist, she said they could do an exam to determine the cause and then fix it, but it would be $78 for the exam alone since I had one earlier this year. That doesnt include treatment. When I explained that this problem is occurring because of the filling itself - a filling that they did not do properly - she said that there was nothing she could do. I would have to come in and pay the exam fee. Needless to say, Im furious. Not only did they do shoddy work the first time (I have also been in once or twice to correct a couple of other fillings as well) and admit to having to redo several, theyre also looking to DOUBLE DIP and charge me a second time for their mistakes. Come to find out, theres stuff all over the internet about how awful Aspen Dental is. Theyre known to deceive and mislead their patients. I wish Id looked them up before going there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I went in for a cleaning and exam. Up until the time for the cleaning, I was very happy. After the visit with the hygienist, it was explained to me that I had a case of gum disease. No surprise there because I knew it from my previous dentist. I was told briefly what needed to be done to treat it and I acknowledged that I understood then asked if we could proceed with the cleaning. She said that they would talk with me about the cost but the cleaning wouldnt be done today. From that point forward, it was all about the money. I was very unhappy with Aspen Dental and felt like instead of being a dental patient my husband and I became dollar signs. Unfortunately, with the dental plan I selected we need to use dental practices instead of private dentists so this is what were stuck with until open enrollment, but Ill definitely be going back to my other plan. I dont care if it costs more. In fact, when I had to leave early (after the meeting to discuss the cost) and left my husband to get a copy of the treatment plan, what they gave him was a copy of the cost of the treatment. Just a total. Thats an indication to me whats important to them.

I went into Aspen as a first time patient for an immediate toothache. I waited two hours to be seen, was taken back for x-rays, then told to go back into the waiting room before the doctor was available. The hygienists and x-ray tech had conflicting opinions with the doctor, and the doctor told me Id need a root canal even though the x-ray showed no evidence of nerve damage. I was given an ungodly bill to pay up front, three hours later, after I was written a prescription but received no medical attention, and couldnt help but feel like something was off. I went to another dentist to get a second opinion and all they did was a deep scaling of my gum, and the problem was solved. I cannot believe I almost paid $1,000 for something I did not need. Completely blown away by their services, and I will never, ever recommend Aspen Dental to anyone.

Be sure to get second opinions. I was told I needed $1900 out of pocket worth of work done. Saw a new dentist went in for a consult to see if they said the same thing, the only thing they stated is that I had 2 old fillings that I would probably want to replace sooner than later. They asked why I was coming for a consult, told them a new dentist I was seeing told me: heavy teeth grinder, 4 caps needed, 2 cavities and night guard. The 2nd opinion dr looked shocked! Said, no sign of grinding, no cavities and they did do xrays, and the crowns, she said she didnt see that need at all! So be careful. I felt like I was in seeing sales people instead of of seeing a dentist. It seemed very odd that in one year time I needed ALL this work done. I have always kept up with my appts. My insurance changed, which is why I had to switch places.

Worst experience ever! Me and my Children had three appointments, I was late for minds so I couldnt be seen, from that point I wanted to leave but I didnt want to cheat my children out of their visit. My daughter was seen first and after seeing the dr they told me that she needed her wisdom teeth pulled..they told me she couldnt get her cleaning the same day because they only do cleaning on Thursdays and that she could only get her wisdom teeth pulled!..Thats the dummies thing I have ever heard...the cleaning should always be done first and by this time my son was still sitting in the lobby waiting to be seen a hour later. I left never returned! I have good insurance and I expect only the best service for me and my children!!..I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Dont expect much help from them unless you plan on spending a ton of money there. I went in at the beginning of the month, found out I need extractions or a root canal. I was prescribed antibiotics. I then went out of town a couple days later. Fast forward to now when the swelling and pain is coming back, I call to see if they can refill my prescription, because I wont be back to schedule my appointment for another week, and they say no, they wont do anything until I schedule my appointment for an extraction and come in and get it.. Kind of defeats the purpose. The office out here wouldnt even let me come in without paying for a full exam. Luckily my boyfriend has a good dentist who was able to get me antibiotics.

Loved the personal care that I received from Dr. Riglaub (spelling on last name). I was so impressed with his wanting everything 100% perfect, didnt mind the length of time. He was so insistant on this being a positive experience for me, kept me laughing and in good spirits. Will be asking for him in the future to be the one to take care of my teeth. I am a real "baby" when it comes to hot/cold on my teeth and making sure that I feel no pain. Will remember to bring my bluetooth for future drilling so I dont have to listen to the high pitch of the drill. Am looking forward to my next appt with him to fit my crown...highly recommended him to both my roommate and husband!
