Ive gone to this office the last two years in a row. My first visit was great! Dr. Garretson was very friendly and professional and I was in and out of the office in an hour, including the time it took for me to pick out glasses. I just went a few weeks ago to update the prescription for my contacts and was seen by a different doctor. Not only was I waiting for a LONG time for my appointment to even start, it was freezing in the office the whole time. But above all, I found the staff to be very rude. The doctor especially was extremely condescending during the entire appointment and I found myself getting more and more frustrated with her as time went on. I was willing to just let it go and make sure that the next time I went to get my eyes checked, that it was a day where Dr. Garretson would be in the office. The receptionist, however, is the icing on the cake. She has an, "Id rather be anywhere but here," attitude about her. When I called to find out what my prescription was for my contacts (I order online), instead of simply answering my question, she basically lectured me on why it was a much better idea to order from them. Im someone whos job very much revolves around my customer service skills, so I know, theres definitely better ways to go about suggesting something to a client. I dont want to be talked to like a child and when I call asking for a simple request, I dont think its too much to ask that I get an answer the first time instead of the third.

I was diagnosed with keratoconus two years ago, and I see a corneal specialist as the shape of my eye is flatter than normal. Because of the mis-shapen cornea, vision can only be corrected with hard contact lenses (and not glasses). Ive struggled over the past two years to find contacts that were comfortable enough to wear. I found Dr. Garretson and the practice through a google search. Holly was very friendly upon answering the phone and they were able to get me in pretty quickly. Dr. Garretson was very nice to work with, took time to explain the different types of contacts and tried out some different things. About 20 minutes in to the consultation, we had found the perfect pair of lenses. The lenses are custom ordered, specific to my eye shape. Ive had them over a month now and I wear them every day. My quality of life has dramatically improved - I can see things again! I am so appreciative to have found Dr. Garretson and the lenses that have truly changed my life - something multiple visits to other specialists could not do. Very friendly staff, great communication, helpful explanations regarding the eye care, as well as insurance. Would definitely recommend!

Ive been going to Dr. Garretson for several years. I was looking for an alternative to contact lenses. My eyes would easily dry out from looking at computer screens all day. I always bought the best contacts for dry eyes but they didnt help. My eyes were red every day at work. I heard about Ortho-K on the radio and was able to find one place nearby, Premier Eyecare. There arent many doctors that work with this tech. I was a difficult case since none of the basic sets of Ortho-Ks would fit my eyes but Dr. Garretson wasnt deterred. He was willing to spend weeks putting together a custom spec just for me. In the end, his hard work paid off and he solved the problem with my daily red eyes. Dr. Garretson works with the latest technology to solve eye problems. He is a troubleshooter and problem solver. I wouldnt recommend any other Dr to work on your eyes.

Ive been wearing Ortho-K lenses (special lenses that improve vision by reshaping your eye while you sleep eliminating the need for glasses or contacts during the day) for almost 13 years and have finally found an optometrist who has the training, the knowledge and the enthusiasm for this special type of lens. Its obvious that Dr. Garretson loves what he does and spends as much time needed to answer questions and make sure that you are happy. His equipment is up-to-date and his exam is comprehensive. There are other optometrists who are closer to me, but the drive is worth it. If you want to dump your glasses, but dont want to take the leap to Lasik surgery, talk to him about Ortho-K. Its amazing! But, if you are just looking for a good optometrist for overall eye care, hes your guy.

Ive had nothing but excellent service from Dr. Garretson and his entire staff. Im always impressed with their technology. I have always been seen within minutes of my scheduled appointment time, I feel like they explain everything very clearly and offer options so you can make the best decision. My children are 2 and 7 and can be difficult to say the least..especially when trying to do an eye exam. Everyone was very patient and took great care of them. The office is clean and equipped with everything you could need to make your appointment enjoyable- including a Keurig in the waiting room. If you are looking for an eye doctor you will love- I highly recommend this office!

Wonderful folks at the office. Very friendly staff, and really like Dr. Garretson. He takes time to listen and get the right solution... even for my little girls. I recently went in just to have a nose pad put on my daughters glasses, and they fixed them immediately, and even remembered my name without asking... I was very impressed. Although we go there for our eye care, I was impressed that they remembered my name, we only go in for regular checkups and this little fix (which we hadnt had to do before.) I highly recommend the office. And they have a great selection of frames if you need them. :-)

My daughter had seen an opthamologist since she was a baby. I was hoping to find some place that we could both like and not drive an hour. Dr. Garretson was AWESOME with my daughter (and me too). The exam was very extensive!! I loved the contacts that he suggested for me. They were the best I had ever worn. I have dry eyes and wear only on special occastions and would actually like to try these daily wear lens on a more regular basis. I would definately recommend Premier Eyecare to anyone!!

Just moved to Clarkston as was so happy to find an excellent Eye Dr. Right around the corner! Everyone there was friendly, helpful and accommodating! Brought my 3 year old along and they were great with her too!! This is our new Eye Dr. For many years to come!! I have had problems with my prescription for years and finally a dr. Who got it right! The office is beautiful and clean as well!!

THANK YOU so much for helping me to see clearly again!!!!!!! The toric lens I wear was discontinued and the eye doctor I was going to could not figure out how to correct my vision; I was seeing double and getting headaches.Dr. Garretson was extremely thorough and incredibly patient and now I can see clearly again!
