"Two years ago I found out I have PCOS ( poly cystic ovary syndrome) I was 20 at the time and engaged to my now husband. The nurses who did my ultrasound were great, and respectful when I told them I was scared. When I saw my OB after the results came back she told me the news, and I asked as any woman would what my options are. She told me that I did not have any other option than to go on birth control. When I told her I was against contraception and did not want it, she straight up said it didnt matter and she was putting me on the depo shot. I began to cry and she ridiculed me, telling me I was overreacting and to stop. I told her over and over I didnt want it as she led me to the nurses station and told them to give me the shot. She made me feel like I couldnt make choices for my own body and what I wanted didnt matter. After they forced me to get the shot I went home and cried for days. I tried to call the clinic and get a new OB and they told me I couldnt. I had to stay with her. I went through three excruciating months of mood swings, weight gain, cramping and nausea and I refuse to go back to that clinic for an appointment despite their calling me and telling me I need to make another appointment and continue on the birth control. They made me feel like my body wasnt mine and made choices for me even though I told them Id rather suffer with painful periods than go on birth control."

Unfortunately, I have to say my experience today was not positive. I am guessing my doctor (Dr. Carlson) may have been in a bad mood and when she left and said. Someone will call you to set up a mri.(no goodbye have a nice day any common courtousy) She appeared frustrated with me since I was asking questions and she was disregarding my comments and concerns. My visit was to update a MRI and get a referral to an orthopedic specializing in the spine. I have an 18 yr old spinal injury and have many treatments over the years. I currently have pain 24 hours a day and dont sleep. no I dont take pain pills and did not ask for any I just wanted a referral for a specialist to discuss my treatment options, risks of no treatment and benefits of treatment. That is called an informed consent that by law a physician is obligated to provide. A General practice physician can not give me an informed consent on spinal issues. There are many more tests available besides an MRI to evaluate my spine. "Her exact words were IF you need a referral I will decide that." wow what a liability!! To top it off I have an HSA so I get to pay cash for the worthless exam and poor bedside manner. I will not be returning to the Stillwater clinic this was not my first poor experience but it will be the last.

I have been going here for close to 30 years, so have all my kids. However, I am ready to find a new place, as their communications policy is stuck in the 1970s. Call on the phone and you get a clerk who is lucky to give your name and number to a nurse, no other info is ever sent. So you end up playing telephone tag for several days just for a simple form or medication refill. My pharmacy has automated refills, except SMG never replies so I always have to intervene. The on-line messaging system works sporadically, rarely any feedback. The only thing that works is they get you in for appointments, if they forget to send in a prescription, you are in communications purgatory.

Got diagnosed with a sinus infection at 4 days of illness and prescribed amoxicillin and it didnt help at all. Day 11 came back to see another doctor, Dr. Tavoli and she refused to precribe me another antibiotic. Refused to listen to me considering Im a nurse and 35 wks pregnant! I know viral infections dont last over 11 days with no improvement. Called to speak to manager who didnt care at all and instead of sending me another doctor couldnt do anything about bc the doctor was refusing to do anything. Been coming here for almost 5 yrs and been a nurse for a long time and this is the worst care and lack of professionalism Ive ever encountered!! This place is horrible!!

Love the docs we have but since Health Partners has taken over its become too corporate. When I started looking closer at the explanation of benefits from my insurance company, Im seeing excessive charges. Had a wart frozen from my sons heel and I had a $300 office charge (just for his pediatrician) and. $300 surgery/anesthesia charge. $600 for the doc to spray a can at his heel? When I called to question I was told thats just what they charge. Business office is no help either. Rude and unhelpful. So disappointing.

Since health partners took over, it is hard to find a doctor who cares more about you than racking up your bills. They run blood work and tests that are not needed and charge twice for the same procedure under different codes. When you call to complain, dont expect an apology. I had to get my insurance involved to get rid of double charges, but I am stuck with the tests and blood that were not needed. My husband had the same problem and is now joining me at Healtheast

I was referred to SMG when trying to get pregnant over the age of 40. Not only was my OB/GYN fantastic, but the entire staff was at the clinic and hospital levels. Both of my children and I continue to drive the 45+ miles to see providers here. We have had many appointments when we are in and out in less than 45 minutes feeling we had adequate time to discuss with the provider all of our concerns. I refer people here regularly with confidence.

I had Dr.Maccri idk if thats how you spell it or not but I had her for a depression and anxiety appointment and I told her about my depression and all she had to say was that I had depression because I dont have a job. After I thoroughly explained ive had depression on and off for 10 years. She prescribed me celexa, and then said she will see me in 6 weeks, acting like she didnt really care if I got better or not.

This has become too corporate. Impossible to talk to a doctor directly. If you dont like talking to machines and waiting in queue, might want to find a different home. Prescription refills are an enormous pain in the arse... with multiple visits required. That said, the folks inside (if you just show up) are super friendly and helpful.

I have been going to Stilwater Medical Group since I was born. The last 5-6 years have been awful, cant get return calls, they have no idea what prescriptions you are taking. My son was given the wrong medication, an ADHD prescription he was no longer taking. I am looking for a new clinic for myself and all 5 family members. Sad!!
