This place is a nightmare, dont send your loved ones here. The staff is incompetent & doesnt understand basic nursing care , resident, family rights. We were never told when she was admitted to Transitional Care Unit that my wife could have any doctor she wanted to care for her . The doc who took over her care was a careless & unkind. They refused to let me see her medical records & medications. And I know she was over-medicated. The food was always cold, tasted awful. Always served hamburgers or hot dogs. No good for people who can choke. They let my wife walk several times without an aid helping her. The room was poorly light- too dark. The beds were at least 40 years old . Creaky old metal thing. We never saw any people walking in the hallways , isnt that the point of a rehab place ? The state does the inspections & the info I read about scared the h.. out of me . The shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot. It is a rat hole. I guess this is where poor people go....

My father was a resident at Good Samaritan-Stillwater for approximately nine months. Three times while he was there, I had to rush him to the hospital. The majority of the staff there is inadequately trained and/or uninterested in providing proper care. My father reported abuse, which I reported to staff, and it was never investigated. I requested that the doctor see my father and it took six days for that to happen. The staff submitted fraudulent reports to the state of MN to increase my father’s rates. As others have mentioned, the food is horrible! My father lost approximately 50 pounds while he was there. I highly recommend NOT placing a loved one at Good Samaritan-Stillwater.

the patient to staff ratio is extremely dangerous as well as the outrageous expectations they put on their staff. The nurses are overworked as well as the CNAs . A lot of the staff are rude and short with residents. Not to mention that the management is horrible. Communication is lacking in that establishment. If I could give this place no stars, i would. The severe lack of staff and communication between management and staff caused a lot of issues
