I technically was hired through Oxford in Joplin, but had to go through Amber Medical Staffing because I was a smoker and Oxford has a no tobacco policy. Oxford itself is an outstanding company to work for except I was unable to get their full benefits for having to go through Amber medical. Amber medical on the other hand is a nightmare, they would always have issues with payrolls and wouldnt even call me to let me know my check wasnt going to be direct deposited, Im sure the office staff had their checks on time everytime though. They would however tell me I could pick up a paper check the next Monday at their Springfield office knowing I live an HR and half away. This happened multiple times and it became a headache, almost everytime I spoke with someone on the phone they were extremely rude, I was talked down too and scoffed for asking questions and wanting answers. Unfortunately I had to withdraw my position with Oxford solely based on having to deal with Amber Medical, and not getting paid on time is an issue for someone who lives paycheck to paycheck. I do not recommend working for this company.

I wish there was a way to rate with no starts lol. Amber loves to yell and scream at her employees. She had no respect for the people that make her money. She is a bully. It has happened to more than just me. I myself was feed up with all the bs from her so I decided to go else where. She called me and proceeded to yell at me. I told her that if she wanted to fire by all means do it but I would not be bullied by her anymore so I hung up the phone. So of course she fires me but sent me a letter stating that I resigned. Which I have had many people tell me that this same thing has happened to them. She even had the audacity to call a facilitie and harasse a former employer that was also feed up with the bs and went else where. You dont want to work for her.

Inexperienced management. Consistently inconsistent with assignments. Pretty much no schedule, just continuous on call situations with last minute notice. Counseled when unavailable due to life.
