Went here for removing mercury fillings from from 2 teeth on bottom and 2 on top. One tooth was cracked on top and an onlay was placed. Left there and numbness never left part of my lip and my cheek remained swollen like a chipmunk. Also pain in the right side of my head going up to my temple. Dr. Singer was not concerned, he was off at a conference and had me see a friend who couldnt help either. I started seeing a plethora of specialists to find answers, ENT, neurologist, oral surgeon, another dentist. I even went back to Singer to give him a chance to try to figure what went wrong. I figured, he should at least take a look since he did the work. I was in and out in no time. He just stared blankly when I said I had pain in my head. He finally gave me his take. Sometimes anesthesia can cause numbness, although very rare. He did not address the onlay, chance of infection or swelling. His answer for swelling was sometimes a hematoma forms and causes swelling but is should go away. Give it time. So I finally decided to see an endodontist after speaking to my long time dentist in CA. He finally listened to me and my suspicion all along. I had an infection under the tooth Singer worked on and abcess and infection was affecting my sinus and likely causing the swelling. The bottom teeth which I thought were fine also would need possible root canal therapy as there was decay there. This is just 2 weeks to date after seeing Singer that I have been living this nightmare of possibly being disfigured for life. Now I have hope, but only because I didnt sit back and accept these nonsense explanations. I dont have as much pain in the gums as you say I should, Singer, because I told you, Im numb in that area! But there is pain and swelling and tenderness and NUMBNESS. Normal? I think not. Also, the pain that I had in my head was from a faulty bite. Another dentist I saw to try to fix this corrected my bite and the pain vanished. Instead of taking responsibility for his negligence, he is backing his work and his post care followup, which was nihil. He charged me over $1100 out of pocket and maxed out all $1500 of my insurance coverage. So now that I need the endodontist to clean up this mess, I will have to shell out close to another $1100. He was rushing off to a conference the day he worked on my upper teeth, had to keep going in and out and other staff was asking him if he was going to get to Mr. so and so patient. He was visibly overwhelmed and that was the first mistake he made. Stay away. He never apologized for any of this, never expressed any concern; just incomprehensible.

I have been a patient of Dr. Singers for over ten years. I had developed a slight phobia of going to the dentist after not going to the dentist for 7 or 8 years (I was too busy with my young kids). I think I just happened to come across Dr. Singers name on-line and it described him as a dentist who worked well with patients who were fearful of going to the dentist. I got up the courage to make an appointment with him and get a long-overdue cleaning and exam. It took just the initial consultation with Dr. Singer and his staff to put me totally at ease. Everyone was so nice and understanding. I chose to be sedated for my first exam and cleaning--and everything went well. I chose to make Dr. Singer my regular dentist and have not had any regrets since then. (I am now able to go in for my regular cleanings without being sedated or even having nitrous oxide because of how at-ease I feel with Dr. Singer and his staff.) A couple years after that initial exam, I had an accident where I tripped and hit my front teeth on a metal doorframe at my childrens school. I basically "killed" my top two front teeth. I had no idea that Dr. Singers skills as a cosmetic dentist would help me so much. I ended up having to have a root canal, veneers and a cap (or a crown). While it was not the most fun experience to go through, Dr. Singer and his staff did an incredible job. I never really appreciated my teeth until after that accident--and I am very thankful for Dr. Singers talents as a cosmetic dentist. Over the years, I have had many people tell me after I have told them about my accident and my front teeth not being real, that they would have never guessed otherwise! I continue to see Dr. Singer today and would highly recommend him to anyone. It is not easy to find such a caring and patient dentist who explains everything thoroughly. and also has such a gentle touch. I recently relocated to NYC and make the trek back to NJ to see Dr. Singer because of the great job he does (his dental hygienists have all been great too!). Yes, it would be easier for me to find a dentist in NYC, but I doubt I could find a dentist as good as Dr. Singer. Also, Dr. Singers staff is caring, patient and professional and that has also made a huge difference to me.

I was initially referred to Dr. Singer for amalgam removal. At the time, more than half of my teeth were filled with amalgam and I felt treble about it. Dr. Singer removed all the amalgams with a safe and standard procedure. Then he restored my bad teeth after a careful examination, giving worse teeth a higher priority. When possible, he used a less expensive way to restore my bad teeth to make it possible for me to continue treatment. He and his team, including Laurie, Jessica, and Tiffany have a wonderful way of welcoming me and making me feel safe each time I call in to make an appointment or step into Dr. Singers office. He does the hardest job so professional and smooth and I feel so safe that I sometimes fall sleep during the procedure! I felt so safe and well taken care of that I recommended Dr. Singer to my wife as well. Currently she goes to Dr. Singer for treatment. I am very thankful for the hard and excellent work that Dr. Singer and his team have done for me. I recommend him for all the work that his office does with confidence. You will be taken care of very well and receive excellent and professional help that you deserve. Thank you very much, Dr. Singer!!

I cant say enough about Dr. Singer and the excellent care he and his entire staff provided me. With Laurie and Tiffany up front on the business side, Jessica and Maureen in the back doing dental care and Dr. Singer at the helm (I hope I spelled everybodys name correctly), this is a well-run, professional and comfortable ship (think luxury cruise). I needed a good cleaning (my previous dentist wasnt as thorough) and I had a fake tooth replaced. Everything was virtually pain-free and my teeth now look great! My previous fake tooth was a joke compared to this one. If there were categories to rate, I would give Dr. Singer four stars in terms of cost. Originally that category wouldve been rated as three stars, but Dr. Singer did work with me and lowered the cost of replacing my fake tooth (without me asking, and he ADDED MORE SERVICES FOR FREE!). Plus, I realize quality services and/or products usually cost more. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Singer and his entire staff. I know Ill be going back soon.
