I brought my boyfriend to this facility 6/19/2017 with severe neck pain and a previous diagnosis of a bone spur in his cervical spine at approximately 1230pm. About 30 minutes after arriving an employee came out to the waiting room telling my other half they were getting a bed ready for him. After waiting and hour after that I finally went up to the administration desk and asked how much longer as my other half has been in excruciating pain and I had noticed people who were way better off than he was being triaged before him. Before I could even finish my question the woman at the desk answered in a very smug fashion "maam we are at capacity he is just going to have to wait." I politely replied " I absolutely understand (as I am a medical professional myself) however I just wanted to know the status of his case" she then asked what his name was and I gave it to her and she looked into the computer and proceeded to tell me that he was in being triaged now when he was clearly still in the waiting room. About ten minutes later we were directed back to a pod of chairs located right near the nurses station. The gentlemen next to us was treated kindly by the nurse practitioner and was given a sling for his arm and was asked to wait. A triage nurse approached my boyfriend and asked him what was wrong and no sooner did he give her an answer did she have a condescending remark.45 minutes later the same NP approached my other half and said "tell me about your throat". My boyfriend and I both looking bewildered explained there was nothing wrong with his throat. My boyfriend then proceeded to repeat yet again what the issue he was having was. Two days before he had an X-ray done in an urgent care center where they found the bone spur I gave the report to the NP because the doctor at the urgent care said he should have a cat scan because he may need a CT. The np at your facility insisted on another X-ray telling us that the radiologist would laugh at him if he ordered a CT for a bone spur. After waiting yet another hour and a half he was not yet called for an X-Ray an RN told my boyfriend to follow her into a room to give an injection. She never told him what and for why he had to inquire what it was and she said Teradol. My significant other said absolutely not and left. He had not even been admitted yet examined nor had a diagnosis and this medical professional was going to inject him no questions asked. And that isnt all. When the np did come to ask questions it was in a public hallway. I knew every diagnosis every test that needed to be done every complaint and the names of the patients just from sitting there. Needless to say we left the facility and ended up coming to a new one today. I would not bring my dog to bayshore community Hospital. I wish you the best of luck on correcting it all

After reading the reviews on here I was very hesitant to go to the ER. But finally I couldnt take it anymore. So I went with low expectations. When I got there, they were all so incredibly nice, I was seen right away, they gave me pain medication at a dose that helps other than other hospitals who give you a small amount 4 times, they gave me 1 dose that lasted for awhile and when it started to wear off they gave me more and did their best to keep me as comfortable as possible. Anytime I go to Drs or ers it usually takes a bunch of needle pokes before they can get my vein because they are so thin. Linda was amazing. First try, 1-2-3 barely felt it. They really seemed like they cared about every patient. Just by overhearing other rooms as well. And i didnt have my insurance ID on me, so they had to out down no insurance atm and they still treated me so well. The guy at the cat scan was awesome and funny which calmed me down and was able to not move while I was in there. Also have a bad back so needed help lying down and getting back up. And he was there to help each time. The Drs and Drs assistants were great as well. There was no wait. I was there longer than everyone but thats because I still wasnt feeling well and they wanted to get me as close to comfortable so I could sleep when I got home. So I am so thankful for the hospital and its staff. Also saw the peds er while going towards bathroom and it looks great. My son, would love it, if God forbid something happened. If I had to say a bad thing about them, its so small that it doesnt matter much but to make sure you know Im not just a. Employee blowing smoke lol but my chart kept getting misplaced here or there. When I went to cat scan room in wheelchair the chart was on the back of the seat. And the woman forgot, I forgot myself so I can see how things happen. Especially since she usually wasnt a runner . But other than that, they treated me well and respected my wife without a second thought. I appreciate everything you guys did for me. Thank you.

I unfortunately have to yet again write a complaint about Bayshore Community Hospital. This is my third time having to visit this hospital in a year and for the third time my family and I have had a horrible experience. The staff at this hospital is unprofessional, including the secretary Andrea whom laughed when I was asking her questions about my mother who was a patient in the emergency room. She actually laughed and when I asked her why she was being rude and laughing she just kept saying "Hold on, hold on" really loud over me and put me on hold. For a secretary in a place such as a hospital I cannot believe her attitude. I myself work in health care and could not believe the things I was witnessing and even overheard. I overheard the nurses who entered my mothers room after she had a episode making unprofessional comments. I am convinced that Bayshore Hospital is giving Meridian Health Company a very bad reputation. I have been to Riverview for myself as well as for family members/friends and have never been unsatisfied or uncomfortable and in shock as I am every single time I am in Bayshore. Unprofessional staff members are always in companies, but for a company that prides itself on exceptional service, this facility is a disgrace. I pray to never have to visit again and will always (as I have in the past) recommended (if possible) taking the extra couple of minutes to drive to Riverview because Bayshore is unbelievable. I am disgusted and as I write this I know many others feel the same.

My mother was taken to the ER by Holmdel first aid squad, and received excellent care. I would specifically like to commend the PCA or tech named "Coco", who was very quick to spot a neurological change in my mom and notify the appropriate person. Julia and Toni, RNs , were great, although I did note that they were significantly short-staffed. Everyone was quick to try and help when help was requested, but as an RN, I was hesitant to interrupt anyone to help put my mom on the bedpan. A few times when I did solicit help from PCAs, I was asked to wait, and told that they did not usually work in the observation area, and were supposed to work in Fast Track. Dr Ahmad was patient and informative. There were no trash receptacles in my moms area, so when I did change her , it was difficult trying to dispose of the soiled diaper and wipes. In addition, when my mom went up to telemetry she was being sent for lots of tests, and the fact that there were no fitted bottom sheets left her in a wrinkled uncomfortable mess. This is not the best way to maintain skin integrity. Please reconsider, ans get the fitted bottom sheets back. I would also like to commend Jill, PCA on 4 East, who was quick, skillful and compassionate.
