A few years ago, we brought our older cat in for bad dental pain and were informed that her teeth were in severe poor state and she would need a dental cleaning. Her pre-surgery blood work came back with high levels of calcium. This, combined with her being FIV+, made the doctor uneasy about performing her surgery until her calcium levels were back to normal. After a diet change recommendation and several weeks of the waiting game, I noticed that she looked so defeated and quite frankly, on deaths door. I called LSVH and told them that she needed something for her pain, until she got her surgery. They gave us a $40 bottle of an unboxed liquid that I later looked up and discovered was not FDA approved for use in cats. So, on that note, we took her to Red Bank Vet Hospital where she met with a dental specialist. What a difference in experience! The wonderful doctor here gave her FDA approved pain medicine and antibiotics right away. She told us that she cannot wait for the surgery and she would be closely monitored by an anesthesiologist during it. Right before her surgery, her blood was re-tested and she was not hypercalcemic anymore. It turned out her severe dental infection was elevating her calcium levels. After her surgery, she ended up having a full mouth extraction, and many of her teeth were in the resorption stage, which is known to be very painful. She also had stomatitis. I feel uneasy about the vet at LSAH not informing us of all these painful things our cat was going through. Instead, we were simply told our cat needed a dental cleaning. And the fact that we were solely concentrating on lowering her calcium levels so she could HAVE the surgery is mind-boggling, since as far as Im informed, hypercalcemic cats are not in grave danger of going into anesthesia.. especially in a situation where our cat was in such pain and discomfort. I am basically just incredibly angry and saddened that if I had continued to listen to the vet at LSAH, my poor cat may have been gone. As a pet parent, you try your hardest to trust your veterinarian while also doing the best possible thing for your babies. I will always feel immense guilt for listening to the vet here and not immediately taking my cat to a dental specialist. However, the whole ordeal here taught me to always trust my gut and if something doesnt feel right.. it probably isnt. Just posting this for anyone else that may be in a similar situation. Im sure there are great vets here with great talents, but I just needed to share my negative experience here because it almost cost my cat her life.

I could not be more pleased with the care and attention our dogs receive from Little Silver Animal Hospital. We have been clients there for 8yrs and 3 dogs later and we have never had a bad experience yet. I do have to say that Dr. Stacey Killcullen is top notch and she has gone above and beyond with the care of our dogs, they actually get excited when we say...."You ready to go see Dr. Stacey"? Our family will be forever grateful to Dr. Stacey and the entire staff of Little Silver Animal Hospital for their personal compassion and attention that we received at our darkest hour 2yrs ago when we had to put our 11yr old Lab down. I would recommend Little Silver Animal Hospital to anyone with a fur baby. You will not find better care , I know this because Ive been to a few others in the area.

I brought my dog in with a cough. I was told over the phone to bring Luke in to a specific entrance, as not to infect other animals. When I came in, we were quickly escorted into a room. I respect how careful they were regarding their other patients. Dr. Yankowitz was incredibly kind and caring to both Luke and me. He called me when results were in (turns out its Lukes heart and he was not contagious). Dr. Yankowitz explained, in detail, what the results were from all tests and what I should be doing to take care of Luke and my other dog. I am thrilled to have, what I consider, the best care any dog can get with Dr. Yankowitz and the staff at Little Silver Animal Hospital. Terri Roberts

The best Vet ever!!! Stinky had been to a couple of other Veterinarians offices before finally going to Little Silver Animal Hospital. In Little Silver she met her doctor, he cares about her so much and gives her the best care. Thats why she wont go to another Animal Hospital, shes found the best and is sticking with it. She loves the care she gets, and the people who care for her at Little Silver Animal Hospital. I, as her human Mom, recommend Little Silver Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a great Vet and a great place to get top notch care. They dont just give care, they do care for the animals. Five Stars, Id give them ten if that were possible!

Be extremely careful bringing your dog here for vaccines ! They lied! I had an appointment 5 weeks in advance for my new Samoyed. I requested only Nobivac DP distemper. I was assured many times when the appointment was made that they can administer only Nobivac DP. When they called to confirm the appointment the day before, I had asked again to make sure there was only Nobivac in the vaccine. They finally admitted it also contained Adenvirus, which causes blindness in Samoyeds based on the findings of one the leading Vets in the country, Dr. Jean Dodds. BE AWARE of this office, if I didnt push they might have been responsible for blinding my dog!

I called because Talullah and Annabelle got sick while boarding. Was offered a same day appointment and private entrance/exam room so as not to contaminate other pets and vice versa. I was seen immediately with excellent care and explanation of illness. Left with meds and both dogs were showing signs of improvement after 24 hours. 1 dog still sick, went back 4 days later, again seen immediately. Dog was treated for inflammation in neck aggravated from cough. Shot given, no charge for revisit, just for meds. Almost immediate improvement noted. Thank you!

I recently adopted a French Bulldog puppy. Little Silver Animal Hospital came recommended for their knowledge of this breed. I am happy to say that I am totally satisfied with my choice. Everyone seems to truly love their job as well as all the furry friends that visit! I met Dr Scott Kilcullen and he is awesome. I also met Dr Richard Yacoeitz for a sick visit and he quickly made me feel at ease that it was nothing serious. I also met his Frenchie! I have had nothing but positive interactions with everyone I have met!! Totally recommend this Facility!!

This was my first experience with a veterinarian as I am a new pet owner. Dr. Scott Kilcullen was very thorough and took his time to make sure I understood all of the information he provided me. He offered extensive advice on raising a puppy as well. I have also used the boarding services here and was very pleased. Lastly, the women at the front desk were excellent and were able to answer many questions I had via phone call. I would absolutely recommend Little Silver Animal Hospital!
