Some optical stores main purpose is to give used car salesmen the appearance of Credibility and integrity. Been walking around without glasses since I broke mine a week ago. For full disclosure I have Medicare and Medicaid and am on a fixed income plus Care Credit should I need some out of pocket expenses . I was told they accept all three. Great! I went in around 2 oclock and waited patiently. My hmo is kicking in next month so I just was getting contacts to hold me over. The clerk, who became my vestige told me she will make sure I would walk out with glasses too. Great, she cares. Meanwhile, it was a few hours I was there and the next to last patient went in. My new beastie showed me some frames, I assumed they were low priced since I get a free pair from medicaid and they also have a special $69. Full Pair promo at the moment. The 2 pairs I picked came to $800 for both without lenses. Starting to lose trust in my new buddy. Guess I need to start dressing down and walking around looking despondent to match my finances. I told her that I wont be spending my monthly income on glasses today. Last patient went in. Goodie. Since it took 45 min to an hour for everyone prior to her I decided to walk down the block for a few mins to get some nourishment. When I returned I was told I was gone too long, the Dr. wouldnt wait any longer and to come back in 2 days. Thus was after spending the day waiting, being up sold and given hope that I would have contacts to last till I could get glasses. Ive been to professional opticians and horrible opticians. Urban eyes are truly at the bottom of the barrel. I read the bad reviews on Google and here, let them know Ill judge for myself. My verdict: These Opticians were created to give Used Car Salesmen the appearance Credibility and Integrity.

DO not go here!!!! They are scammers, first lady told me my copay was $80 but when i mentioned it was $40 she said ok, yeah. First Strike. Sit with Eye Dr. and they give me wrong prescription for contacts, go back a second time and again wrong prescription, i get a call a month later saying if i plan to pick up my prescription. i explained that i need to see the doctor again and she said i had to pay another $40. Well i went there today and the refunded me my money after i mad a big fuss, i also called my insurance and told them not to pay, i am happily going to somewhere else.

Theyre over priced and workers (doc exempt) are unprofessional.......also I dont like that I had to buy 6mons of contacts when I just wanted one box....was trying to give color contacts a try didnt want to purchase 6mons worth if I didnt like color or How they look on me....was hassled to physically get my scripts in hand so I can go elsewhere.....never received them was always an excuse ...Im not going back nor would I recommend

They are a scam! Forcing me to buy an expensive frame and also pay $100 for the lens..that is just crazy!!! When clearly I have insurance and the insurance covers for some glasses in the store. They just never wanted to show me the glasses that my insurance covered..they rather drain me of my money..and the doctor was rude!!....I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Eye exam was simple, quick and cheap. However, once you get to choosing your glasses is where they drain you of your money. I was charged 550 for a pair of glasses. Looked up the glasses frame online and it selling for 180+100 for the lenses. I understand the need to make money, but making customers pay double is too much.

They are ok but in the day and age of discount contacts online its unfair to not acquire your lens prescription. The cost are low for the exams though. If you mind trudging through the downtown Newark "social" scene, get a quickie exam done and be out.

They bullshit . They are not about business, they lie, & theyre ghetto. Never will I ever get my glasses from them again!!
