Im currently admitted sadly ! If they need me to stay one more day Ill be requesting to be transferred to another hospital! Ive never in my life had an issue with valley, I drive 30 min to get here no matter what BUT this will be my last visit here!!!!! Ive been here since Sunday and its been nothing but a headache with their unprofessional staff even as I type this I alarmed for my nurse to come to my room its been 20 MINUTES and no one has showed up!!! They are so careless and lazy they act as if your annoying them when you call asking for help. Due to my condition I havent been able to get out of bed but being that I was getting better they encouraged me to move around if possible, I did but couldnt manage to get back into my bed I alerted the nurse from my rest room that I wasnt able to move I needed help NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP !!!!!!!!!! Thankfully my sister showed up about 20 mins later & thats when I finally saw my nurse running after her into my room. Shorty after that my case worker found me in my room throwing up and she spent 10mins calling nurses from her phone again no one showed up she managed to find someone who wasnt my nurse to give me medicine but as she walked out of my room she was complaining to another nurse "she kept calling idk whats wrong with her or whatever Im not her nurse" these are only TWO of many incidents that Ive been dealing with these past 4 days and as I finish writing this review my nurse is STILL NOWHERE to be found I will be complaining and calling who ever I need to because this is ridiculous these hospital bills arent cheap nor do we lay here for free if they feel that patients are burdens than they are in the wrong field.

I rated this hospital a 1 because they dont have a 0 rating. This was the WORST experience I have ever had. I am pregnant and came in for bleeding issues. WITHOUT being checked I was told the bleeding may be a freak thing. They hadnt even looked at me yet i assume they go off guess work... then I sat for 4 hours waiting for an ultrasound to be done... I finally got tired of waiting so I asked to leave after the 4th hr without doing the ultrasound I guess its not important to them and I would go to my hospital 1 hour away instead. They SUDDENLY were able to get me in for the ultrasound. Meanwhile I only got checked on twice in those 4 hrs by my nurse.. no one said a word as to what was going on for our situation to me or my husband. They had me share a room as well i have to add this... The lady next to me comes in after me for her baby issues, she gets checked on every 10 minutes and updated on whats going on, she got an ultrasound done, and left BEFORE ME... I was NOT HAPPY!! Then I called for my medical records the next day along with my Dr calling the hospital for one entire day only to finally be told hours later that i needed to understand that there were other people who put in requests for their records and their appointments to follow up with their drs were before my appointment with my dr so they would get to theirs first and that MAYBE by tomorrow my Dr may get my records ... I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.. I will be sure to never go back...so glad I will not be delivering there I feel sorry for their patients..

IF I COULD HAVE CHOSEN A QUALITY OF LESS THAN POOR, I WOULD HAVE! My elderly mother was brought to the ER on 11/02/12 and, rather than assist her, they sent her home saying "LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE." When nature didnt, which could have proven fatal in an elderly person, we were back in 4 days with the same problem. This time they did something, addressing one of the two pains she presented with, and released her. The following morning, back at her home, she was incapacitated, unable to sit up and eat. This was a woman who had been totally mobile and quite healthy for her age, and now was practically paralyzed. It appears that by neglecting her problem on November 2nd, and not treating it til November 6th, caused immense strain to the affected area. I confirmed this on Google and made them aware of their lack of concern/care for my mother. This compounded my mothers pain, causing her to be admitted the hospital for 5 days, subsequently needing physical therapy, and now living in a nursing home at almost $400/day. She may never recover. THANK YOU VALLEY HOSPITAL FOR TOTALLY RUINING A SENIORS QUALITY OF LIFE AND DEPLETING HER LIFE SAVINGS! Having written to the CEO by certified letter, I was subsequently contacted by the Director of the ER who stated that they feel they did "everything possible" for my mother. I cannot even begin to tell you what I think of that statement! Be forewarned! Elderly people at Valley Hospital are disposable! By saying, "Let Nature its course," they are basically telling all seniors, "Go home and die!"

This place sucks! They have an attitude from the admissions people in the ER, to the treating PAs (not doctors). Their billing dept/system is a nightmare and the people there offer no explanation for hundreds and hundreds of dollars in charges. After waiting for hours, I had Dermabond (glue) put on a small cut that I thought needed a couple of stitches. An hour after I left it popped open again and I fixed it with crazy glue rather than go back and deal with that nightmare again. The crazy glue lasted for days. A month later I got over $1,000 in bills, after my health insurance paid them a portion of what they asked for. All for 5 minutes with a PA and glue that lasted an hour. The bills, actually they are statements, only list the total dollar amount. After calling for an explanation, they sent me and "itemized" bill showing the same ER charge 3 times. The people in the billing department were not interested in explaining anything or helping resolve it other than to ask for a credit card number. My 90 y.o. grandmother was also recently in there too. The social workers have nasty attitudes and were hell bent on discharging her, despite the fact her doctor wanted her to stay. I would get repeated calls all day at work from them. I asked if I could speak/meet with them after work and they said they only work until 4 pm. They lost my Health Care Proxy and lied repeatidly about how she was doing (I got the real story from the nurses). It goes on and on. Bottom line avoid this place at all cost.

I took my daughter there out of desperation really. We have recently moved to the area, and Hackensack is extra 10 mins away. My daughter, who is 20 months, was having an asthma attack. I ran up to reception asking for the pediatrics ER, before I could even start, the lady at the front asked me to hold on as she was in the middle of a conversation with a peer. Thankfully her peer told her to address me first otherwise I might still be waiting. I explained that my daughter has asthma and that she was having trouble breathing. She took all my info without even being phased at the fact that my daughter was having trouble breathing. She asked me to take a seat, I asked when she would be seen, she very non-nonchalantly said " I dont know, they have to come get you." They? Who is they? and when will "they" get here? All of these questions ran through my head, but I stayed calm. We sat waiting with everyone else, for what felt like an eternity, and then I could not wait any longer fearing my daughter would pass out or get worse. I walked back up pleading to please be seen, the same lady said to me in her monotone "I dont really care" voice "I dont know what to tell you, you have to wait". I have never felt so helpless and angry- this woman really could not care less about my kid, I will make it my business to never go back there again. Once we were seen the doctors and nurses were great. But the reception lady really put a bad taste in my mouth for this place.
