Dr. Anthony Gibney is one of the most uncompassionate individuals I have every met. The whole appointment for my cat was a waste. He opined on the reasons for my cats lethargy. He went onto say thyroid levels, hormonal levels, gonadal levels, pituitary dysfunction, enlarged heart and anything else you can imagine lol. I missed a dose for my cat (insulin) and just wanted them to check her glucose and give some fluid as she wasnt drinking much. They tried to push 500$ in tests onto me. I was not having it. I said i want fluids and a glucose test. That was it. I use Marmalade and Mobile vet and everything I said that I have been doing was wrong according to him. Literally everything. The Lantus insulin was the wrong insulin. A grain free, soy, wheat and corn, which has worked phenomenally for us that was recommended by Marmalade (cats are carnivores not omnivores). My cat has lost weight and her glucose in under control. He said I should be buying perscription based food!! Ive never laughed so hard. The young vet technician with a nose ring apologized for him after I went to check out. She said they both have never heard of that diet for diabetic cats and the blood glucose curve from home. The lantus pen is awesome because you deal with such small units that you dial. All we have to do is take 4 tests and send it to Marmalade and they say whether or not to adjust the dosage. That simple! They said it has to be done in office. Its just not the case with the newer insulins. Dr Anthony Gibney (vet) M.d. and the vet technician that works for him belittled me every bit of the way. I then wanted to see how foolish the technician was, so I asked her "How many cats or dogs that have diabetes use the perscription food?" She goes "I would say 90%". Just an overall joke of a place. Dr. Anthony Gibney as we were finally finishing up and just getting the fluids and a glucose test tried asking me why I didnt want to go foward with the tests "is it financial?" "Do you want to go back to your old vet?". I said its partially money and we want to see another day or two and see if she gets better after missing a dose a couple days ago. He goes "Well when I see a cat on its way out...." and says "ok" and flew out the door. Not even a bye. Very rude individual.

Our regular vet wasnt open when our Choc Lab was experiencing diabetic stress for the first time. I called them and without any knowledge they let me bring him right in to be seen. They treated Hank as if he was a regular patient, from the phone call to the check out, it was nothing but care and concern for him. The tests all came back as diabetic. They immediately called in his insulin prescription and he started feeling better immediately. I contacted our regular vet and they basically said we can continue with them or transfer to Blue Cross Animal Hospital. Needless to say, Hank is now a patient with Blue Cross and so will his sister, Lady.

We had taken our dog there for 13 years. The previous owner was outrageously priced and service was poor. They always seemed to find expensive tests and treatments for my Meg when going for routine shots... BUT The NEW owners are fantastic with the pets. Meg had to be put to sleep and the staff was caring and compassionate. They were even willing to do it at our home but we chose there. They aloud my husband to stay with our Meg, and made it as painless as possible for us as they made it for her. She only took a minute and she was asleep and in her final resting. I recommend them to anyone

Poor service for an outrageous price. They quoted me a price of $200 to have my rabbit spayed. After a routine exam the price shot up to $400.00. The rude and apathetic staff neglected to tell me to bring the rabbit back to have stitches removed. They also neglected to give me certain information on the medication. When I pay $400 I expect every piece of information given to me up front. I shouldnt have to call to find out info they didnt tell me. Im surprised they didnt kill my pet. I will never return to Blue Cross Vet Hospital, and I do not recommend anyone to give them their business.

The Gibneys are compassionate people and have always treated our pets with the utmost professionalism. They have a diverse practice that has provided care for our dog, cats, and lizards. All of our pets lived long and happy lives under their care. I will always recommend them for your pets needs. When our dog was succumbing to health issues (cancer,arthritis,and complications from Lymes) at the age of 15 years they spent the time to allow us to say goodbye before putting him to sleep. Highly recommend them!!!!

I loved this animal hospital. They have been treating my dog for a few years and always remember him. There is never a long wait and they are always gentle with him, which isnt always easy because he is a large dog. We are always in and out, they never make things longer and harder than they need to be. I have never had any trouble dealing with them. I even kept them as my dogs vet even though I live about an hour away.

It would be nice if this client would pay her bills. I drove over 6 hours round trip. When I arrived at her office I found the x-ray system working. Then she tried to blame me for not telling her to try the machine before I left my office!!!! In my opinion some people should not even be in business. Hudson Digital Systems
