Where do I start? Well, first of all, I am a proud mother of a 28 year old, insanely fearful of the dentist, young woman. In other words, she pretty much collapses at the mere mention of going to the dentist. However, there is nothing that works so well in getting someone to the doctor or dentist as being in severe pain. My daughter had a horrible experience years ago from getting a root canal, that basically scarred her for life, which caused her to neglect her other teeth. This, of course, resulted in several bouts of tooth abscesses, the last one ending us up in the ER, because of intolerable and intractable pain. Needless to say, that was my limit. So I set out to find a dentist who was patient, tolerant of very apprehensive patients, kind, and of course, an expert in her field. I was fairly certain that I wasnt going to find a dentist with those attributes, but I was relentless in my search, until I discovered Dr. Ammana. I read all of the reviews and decided that this was where we needed to go. Not to mention, the dental assistant had the same name and exact birthdate of my daughter! I realized this was ordained by God, and I proceeded to make an appointment. We went today for her appointment and right away my daughter starts with the falling out bit, so I started praying right away for this not to have been a mistake. Anyway, to make a moderately long story short, this dentist is an angel sent straight from the heavenlies. She was absolutely amazing in her chairside manner, her constant reassuring and gentle manner. She was so great, that my daughter didnt even realize that she had performed a much needed root canal while she was also working on cleaning her teeth! Now that, was amazing! Anyone that can work on my daughter and not have to call the EMS as a result, is a master of their craft! I cant say enough about her and her staff. So, if you or anyone you know has a fear of dentists, please come to this office. You will remain a lifelong and faithful patient. Thanks so much to the Jersey Shore Dental group. God bless you!

I have always HATED going to the dentist in my adult life(my pediatric dentist gave out prizes and had Ms. Pac-man). That is, until now....I called Dr. Ammanas office in a panic as I neglected to take care of an abcess cavity that gotten SO bad, it made my face swell horribly and left me in unimaginable pain. As my regular dentist was unavailable I looked towards Google to find a reputable dentist near my home. All stars lead to Dr. Ammana and I am so unbelievably happy they guided me in the right direction. I called and after explaining my dire situation, her lovely receptionist booked me for an 8 AM appt the next day, requiring her, Dr. Ammana and her assistant to open earlier than they needed to. I tossed and turned the night before in fear of what anguish I would have to endure while in the chair. As I walked into the office I was immediately calmed by the friendly demeanor of the receptionist and she assured me that I would be taken care of. When it came time to sit in the chair, I was pleasantly greeted by Dr. Ammana. She took a look and proceeded to work on my infected mouth. As she worked on my tooth, she talked me through every step, explained exactly what was happening and what she was doing to treat the abcess. She is incredibly patient and comforting. I had an instant sense of trust and confidence in her. I left the chair feeling so relieved and happy that I had come to her and no one else. My face went back to normal after just a couple of hours which I DID not think would happen. She even texted me the next day to check in with me! What doctor does that?! She really does geniuinely care. So much....that I am actually looking forward to my next dental visit. Which I NEVER thought would happen. Also worth mentioning, they are very understanding of the financial strain of dental procedures (even with insurance) and were so generous to work out a plan with me. Just another bonus of this amazing practice. Thank you Dr. Ammana!

My husband and I have been cared for by Dr. Gevertz for 25 years. My husband comes from a family of dentists and he feel that Dr. Gevertz has a wonderful, gentle touch and is an excellent dentist. I agree. Our gums and teeth are in excellent shape and some light cosmetic work has enhanced them without making them look fake, overly white or unnatural. The staff is friendly and helpful. We love Dr. Gevertz.

Dr. Gevertz is one of the most caring and gentle dentists. She not only cares about my mouth, she always makes sure to ask about me and remembers what I tell her. The whole office makes me feel like part of the family. They have even tried to work with me when money was tight and I needed a lot of work done. She restored my faith in dentists!
