My 94 year old Grandmother has been at Camden Place for two weeks. The first week was good. Then they switched her CNA to another one and things really went down hill from there. They were very hateful to my Grandmother, they would not put her glasses on her so therefore she could not see, they would not change her so she would lay in wet depends and clothes when they would even put her clothes on her. She can not feed herself and the staff was well aware of this, yet they would just bring her food in and set it down and leave her. Needless to say she did not get to eat. She has yet to have a shower or wash her hair and we know this because the bathroom has not been cleaned. We even put some powder on the floor to see if it got washed away....the powder is still there. She has not been taken out in the facility for any activities as was requested and promised. Her bed has only been changed once in two weeks and they did not even give her pillow cases or a bed spread back with out being requested by family members. I would think that a place like this would train the staff better and care a great deal more about the patients . Several complaint forms have been filled out and yet nothing has changed. This will need to be reported to the highest authority, because no one seems to care about my Grandmother or other people there. I realize this is just a job and a business for most of the Staff, but not for us.........she is our family and should be treated with compassion and respect. There are others places that would like to have our business so to speak. We are looking for some major changes to happen or we will be moving else where.

My stepfather went into this facility after he had a hip replacement. He is a sufferer of polio and one of his legs is paralyzed. So, he spent about 5 weeks at Camden Place. The rehab team of physical therapists was very good. They worked with him and encouraged him at every step of the way. If I were just rating the rehab, Id give the facility five stars. Unfortunately the support staff, particularly the social worker (Babetta) was incompetent. I was assured that before he was discharged, they would do a thorough discharge plan, including going to his home to make sure he could manage by himself. (My mother is elderly and unable to help and I live in another state). This did not happen. He was discharged without any assistance. Once home, he had the wrong wheelchair (one he could not use to get in and out of bed) and was bed ridden for 7 days. Although a physical therapist came, she could do nothing until the proper equipment was ordered. Had they done their job and checked this out ahead of the discharge, everything would have gone smoothly. Meantime hes had a setback and must regain the strength he lost after 7 days in bed and unable to get out. BTW, he had to call the EMTs for help on at least 2 occasions. The facility director should take a long look at these reviews and hold those staff responsible for the trouble they cause. My stepfather did everything he was supposed to do and now he must struggle to regain the progress he made. Its a tragic thing.

I am NOT an employee of Camden Nursing and Rehab Center, but as a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist in long term care for over 30 years, I have been closely associated with this facility in an external consulting capacity since it opened. Both of my parents were residents in this facility until they passed away. I can truly say that having been in 100s of LTC facilities over the course of my career, this is one of the BEST facilities that I have ever been in. The care and high standards that the staff and management strive for on a daily basis is quite apparent to me. I feel that I have a unique perspective of viewing this facility both as a health care provider as well as a family member. So many in our current environment are quick to focus on the negative and few take the time to give praise when warranted. I wanted to take that time and effort!

Do not allow your loved ones to stay here if you care about their physical and emotional well-being. Here are just some of the examples: CNA refused to do their job and caused an injury to patient. Requested four times for bathroom to be cleaned as it was filthy. Toilet seat broken. Medication not given at the correct time. Medication not logged and therefore the nurse could not state when previous dose given. Constant buzzing which sounds like a car alarm. Was told this is the buzzer system for patients but no rest/sleep as it goes off 24/7. Staff/nurses standing in the hallways chatting and ignoring patient call buttons. Told to order food but staff cant be bothered to supply the order and send something else instead. Attitude of CNAs to patients and visitors is appalling. Rude and uncooperative. There is nothing good about this place.

My 92 year old mother is there and they are treating her horribly. I was on the phone with her for an hour while she was ringing the call button and being ignored. She had to go to the bathroom. The nurse her sitting on the side of the bed and said shed be right back to help her to bed, and the nurse went away for another half an hour. She called me sobbing. She says the nurses are hateful to her. (I spoke with one of them on the phone, and she was very abrupt and mean to me.) It kills me to listen to my mom sobbing because no one will come and take her to the bathroom. I dont live where she is, or Id be there 24/7. I dont know what to do to make them stop treating her so badly. But I certainly dont recommend this place.

Our grandmother has been in Camdens care since October 2016, and our mother in November of 2016. They are so attentive and sweet to them that it is like leaving them with family. Are they going to have someone come the minute they press the button? No, and thats ok! But they never wait too long before someone is in there assisting them with whatever they need. My mother just passed this past Tuesday and the staff showed as much emotion as we did. The compassion was so appreciated, and they took extra care of my granny during all this. I HIGHLY recommend Camden to anyone looking to place their loved one, who can no longer take care of themselves.

The only good thing about this place was the rehab. The other 23 hours were a nightmare!! Here are just some of the examples: Left bedside potty chair in the room for more than 24 hours without emptying it. Never fixed the light so the patient could turn the light off after the CNA or nurse came in in the middle of the night and left it on. Call button for room malfunctioned throughout stay. First night in Camden from hospital left patient on the potty chair 35 minutes even after screaming for help. Patient fell trying to get up. I have a pictures of the bruises on the operative leg.
