Latest Update--: Currently, Moron Minion SHARON and//or Dr. Dementia TUREK, have recently deleted all of their purposeful lying responses to every heartfelt and honest negative review on here. Also, the negative reviews have somehow been not showing up, more recently, as well. So, I am updating now, in the hopes that My Original Review along with My updates will show up. Because, currently, as I am typing this, only a few Suspect "Positive" reviews are showing up. Maybe, it is a temporary Google glitch. But, the deletion of The so-called "owner" responses to the negative reviews, was I am sure purposely done by the "owner" to try to pretend they never posted such unwise and dishonest lies and deflections UPDATE--: In response to the pathetically predictable (so-called "owner") response to My original scathing review (see My NEW response at the end of this post)--: **This Doctor Just Doesnt Care. Doesnt Even Pretend To. He Is The Worst** MedPlus in Garden City, is run by Dr. TUREK.. He is the absolute worst Doctor I have encountered in recent memory. His office manager SHARON (who he uses to clean up his dishonestness and laziness is a complete Buffoon and has no business calling patients back about anything at all). She is his stooge and only succeeds in making him look even worse. I asked for an apology from TUREK for his unethical and most likely illegal mistreatment of Me but he instead had SHARON call Me back. I smartly recorded ALL! P.S. By the way, TUREK, also, seems to seriously have, perhaps, early onset dementia, as he literally can not apparently tell the difference between the year 2015 and 2016. The 5 and 6 difference would be apparent to anyone who is sane and alert and who cares about how they are perceived by competent medical and pharmaceutical professionals. This doctor does not seem all there in the head, in My not so humble opinion. And if you, quite rightly, think TUREK sounds bad. As I mentioned, talking to his stooge office manager SHARON (Will surely make him sound even worse) As SHARON IS SOMEONE HE MERELY uses AS a totally clueless, severely dim office manager to try to Somehow explain AWAY his problems with handling simple dates, times, and figures. Alas, SHE has the same problems As he does, only worse, being The severely inefficient underling she is, spewing out nothing but Half-baked deflections and Mispronunciations of medications That she clearly has NO PROPER KNOWLEDGE OF TO BEGIN WITH. This office run By TUREK is a severely mismanaged circus, that would make even CLOWNS blush (without the need for make-up)!! ************************* This portion is in response to the so-called "owner" of the business who responded to the above original post--: First off, the response was (as usual from this morally barren circus of an office) not honest and purposely deceptive and deflective. Secondly, as you see it was not signed by a particular person. Not even a first name. So, was that the Moron Minion SHARON or was that Dr. Dementia TUREK!? Once we can determine who is espousing those purposely deceptive lies from within that office in their responses on this forum and other forums, we then can more effectively proceed with picking apart their Half-baked attempts at deflection and deception.

First of all, I am suffering with ptsd, some days I feel fine others days the world is caving in on me. I missed two appointments, on the third try I was informed by the receptionist that I either show up this time or to never bother calling them again. Again I felt well on the date of the appointment, but reluctantly showed up to see Dr Turek. As with any type of mental disorder, being prescribed an antidepressant, one would think that the medical professionals would like to be rather informative about the medication prescribed and the mental state of the person of whom the prescription is for - not Dr Turek! I The guy didnt even ask about my sleeping patterns/issues or advise me what time of day to take this potentially dangerous drug zoloft. I was only told to call back in 30 days to let them know if it worked or not. I already entered the doctors visit with elevated blood pressure. Ten days into taking the zoloft I began to have bizarre and violent dreams. Now on the twentyith day of the zoloft my mother has noticed extremely emotional and bizarre behavior and has convinced me to to begin to wean myself off of this terrible zoloft. I understand that zoloft may work for some, but certainly not everyone. But shouldnt the Dr also be aware of these possible side effects. I mean Gimme a break. I know street corner drug dealers that seem to have more compation for people the the staff and furthermore Dr Turek himself. I feel like the medical profession is still a hospitality industry, which in Med Plus failed me miserablely. My advice, find a caring doctor who adheres to the hippocrticatic oath they like theyre supposed to. Shame on you Turek for nearly poisoning me.

UPDATE: DO NOT GO HERE. A FAMILY MEMBER OF MINE JUST HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE I DID. THE DR. DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT THE AFFECTED AREA & PRESCRIBED INEFFECTIVE TREATMENT. THERE ARE SOME EXCELLENT LOCAL CLININCS THAT DONT OVERCHARGE OR WASTE YOUR TIME. I now recommend Little River Medical Center (South Strand). A note on the owner replies. I didnt want overtreatment, just correct treatment. I was prescribed the wrong antibiotic for my eye infection. Another, more skill Dr. confirmed & corrected. Also, I read your reply to David & Stephans complaints. Do you really think its ok for a Dr. office to call someone a drug addict online? If so, why not refer them somewhere for help? Completely unprofessional & borderline HIPAA law violation. And wheres the empathy? Hippocratic Oath? 3 of 6 of these reviews are negative, half, 50%... just saying. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY THAN HELPING PEOPLE. THEY WILL CHARGE HIGH OFFICE VISITS & GIVE INEFFECTIVE TREATMENTS TO MAKE YOU RETURN FOR ANOTHER OFFICE VISIT CHARGE$$. My experience: Dr. walks in, looks at my problem for 5 seconds, gives me over the counter treatment. Problem gets worse. So I went to a real Dr. interested in helping patients not collecting $$ & got correct treatment. Problem gone very quickly. THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME & MONEY MEDPLUS. MEDICAL SCAMMERS & RIP OFF. YOU WILL HAVE BETTER RESULTS WITH GOOGLE SEARCH TREATMENTS. DO NOT GO HERE. OVER-CHARGE, EXPENSIVE, WASTE OF TIME & MONEY

Ive gone to see Dr Turek for years. I feel like he always takes good care of me and my issues. The office is usually pretty busy but if you have an appointment it doesnt seem to take any longer than anywhere else Ive ever been. My wife saw him for the first time for a health checkup and he talked with her for a bit then ran tests according to our concerns and his diagnosis. The office called us back in a few days with the test results without any prodding on our side.

I went to see the Dr to get a diagnostic mammogram concerned I had breast cancer. I called the office on Monday afternoon for the results and they said they didnt have them yet. I call the Imaging center, they confirmed they faxed the results on the same day(Friday) as the mammogram. I called again Wednesday morning for the results and it took until Wednesday afternoon and me calling twice to find out the results! Very poor patient service! Will not go back!

Always seen quickly, treatment has always been effective, not over priced, staff always polite, informed, well mannered and kind. All doctors, PAs and NPs have been fabulous. All members of my family has been going here off and on for yrs and seen almost all members of staff. Glad to have them!!
