We switched to GSO Peds (Dr. Clark, specifically) when my son was about 8 mo. old. His old physician was AMAZING but it was nearly impossible to get in and the waits even with appts. were terrible...so maybe because I have had the worst - I am finding it hard to see anything wrong with this practice. They have always seen us when we have needed them - they have been very informative and even when I can tell they want me to stop talking - they do their best to show that isnt what they are thinking. The nurse we have with Dr. Clark is not the most personable with the children or parents - but she is not even close to being rude. She just seems busy - but she has always been "nice." They have ALWAYS seen us within MINUTES of sitting down in the waiting area. There was ONE time I came for my sons 3 yr appt (just a few months ago) and they did not have the appt. (or any 3 yr appt) scheduled for my son. Inside I was irate because I live 35 mintues away and how in the world did they NOT have me scheduled!? I maintained my cool and asked that they fit me in as I did not just wake up and decide to pretend to have an appt. The man was not someone I dealt with before and he was fairly nice to me (although I could tell by his tone that he was not about to say that THEY made the mistake). He talked to the nurse, came back to me and told me (politely) that she would check with Dr. Clark and see if he could fit us in - but not to get my hopes up because they were busy and it could be an hour before they could see me. I began to dial my husbands phone number to complain (literally minutes later) and they said he could see me and called me back right away. It took maybe ten minutes longer in the room to wait for Dr. Clark - but he saw us. Not only did he see us, he gave us his full attention and did not act like we were inconveniencing him at all. I admired the way they handled the situation and was very impressed. My son was bit by a tick tonight and I will be calling first thing in the morning to see if they need to / can see us. I am doing this knowing they may not have availability, but knowing that I fully trust them to tell me if I need to go to a walk-in clinic if they cant see us. Because my child is NOT the only child they take care of - I know I cant expect them to drop everything for him. Especially since they have been so good to us thus far.

My recent experience: My children are a patient of Dr. Miller. I called on a Monday morning to schedule a sick visit for my 16 mos. old who had been sick since Thurs. It is day 5 and he has a high fever, not eating, barely drinking, and rapid breathing. I explain this to the receptionist, I was told I could not be seen until noon. I said, to the receptionist I can see any Dr. my baby is really sick, She stated again that we do not have any openings and he can not be seen until noon. I even requested to be called if there is a cancellation. I am trying to avoid going to the ED. So, I get to the Dr. 15 mins before my appt. I wait patiently for about 15 mins after my scheduled appt. I asked why is it taking so long, the receptionist said I do not know but the nurse should be to get me soon. As I sat there w/my baby burning up, and breathing like he was going to take his last breath I waited another 15mins before the nurse came to get me. Now, during the time I waited I saw Dr. Cummings nurse get 3 of his pts. So, why am I waiting such a long time. I did not get 1 apology at all. When it was apparent that my son had an almost 105 temp, and was having a hard time breathing then the urgency came from the nurse. And she had the nerve to say, that you should have told the receptionist his symptoms they could have gotten him in sooner. I am like I told them what was wrong, they did not offer me an earlier time. All in all, my baby had to spend a couple of days in the hospital. I am in the process of changing the care of my children to somewhere else. Over the years the lack of concern for the well being of my children has declined.

I agree with the previous mom on their schedule situation I told the rude receptionist over and over I need different appointment times so that I can make it on time she wouldnt work with me she said my sons doctor only worked mornings Monday through Thursday. and I was late one time Im not perfect and I tried to call all I got was an automated service so I went to see if they could work him in it was for a well check up it takes all of 15 minutes she wasnt having it she wouldnt even check for me she said it would be hard to reschedule with a different doctor because my son is on Medicaid which violates the hippa policy shes lucky I dont take her to small claims court. I tried to discuss how she treated us to the manager whom said we would deal with it which meant Ill send you a note saying your 4 month old has been kicked out of the practice. rude and judge mental practice who doesnt care about patients and they are kids. this is such a horrible place very rushed during appointments and the office staff is the worst. they are very nice at first but they are two faced dont trust them they are all about $$$ not your children.

Every time we have an appointment, our wait is minimum 30 minutes, no matter what time of day, because even if you are the first appointment, seems there is an "emergency" ahead of you. Have made two appts. for childs doc and arrived to be told that doc wasnt there, so we had to see another doc. Visits are very pro-forma--very little bedside manner. Last visit, Dr. Pudlo (sp?) interrupted my child while she was asking a question about what he was doing to tell her to wait until he was finished talking to daddy. Except, well, he wasnt talking to me. I appreciate these folks became MDs to make money, and caring for patients is second, but they could at least fake it. Office staff is perfunctory at best, downright surly is the norm, and woe betide you if youre not prepared to pay your copay the second you walk in the door. One of the office staff even told me to have my checkbook ready when I got to the window.

Had a horrible experience with Dr. Ronald Pudlo, MD today. He was very rough, quick, impatient, rude, and non-understanding to the fact that he was dealing with a 5 year old who was listening very well, just not good enough for this doctor. Have dealt with many of the doctors in this office and they are great minus this doctor Pudlo, who does not need to be working with children.. All that to say, if you ever visit this office, all the others are great, just dont see this bozo.. On a better note, the nurse that followed up with shots and what not, she was great. No complaints on any of the other staff. Just dont appreciate this guy, Ronald Pudlo, handling my son in the manner that he did. Very unprofessional and definitely not a 5 star experience..
