We used NRMC for 10+ years and were very satisfied. Readers of the glowing reviews should be aware that Dr. Michele and Dr. Vincent Nacouzi are no longer associated with this practice. In April of 2011 I went for my routine physical. Having lost my employer insurance, I was covered by a BCBS high deductible that was supposed to pay 100% for preventative measures, which includes annual physical exams. I was seen by Emily Crosson, who is a PA (Physicians Assistant). While there I asked her about some strange bruises on my arms, and, seeing as Im over 60, asked her to write a prescription for Levitra. During the course of my exam, she mentioned it had been ten years since my tetanus booster, and asked if I wanted to get a fresh booster. I told her I was on a limited budget and if the insurance company would cover it, go ahead. I asked her to check and make sure it was covered. She said she could not tell, but the shot was $30. I said, OK, I had a horse that died from tetanus, so if BCBS didnt cover it, I would. When I got my EOB from BCBS, they had paid $46 toward a $282 bill (this did NOT include $500 lab fee for blood work). I called NRMC and got voice mail for the accounting dept. I left my name and number and nobody returned my call. A week later I called again, and again nobody returned my call. In September of 2011 (some 5 months after my exam) I received a bill. No explanation, just a bill. I wrote a letter to Michele asking for explanation. I heard nothing. No response. Last year I had scheduled my exam for this year. About a week before my appointment, I got a call from the business office. I was at work and my wife told me they called. I called as soon as I got off work and the receptionist , who was originally clueluss, fumbled around and finally told me I needed to contact my insurance company for questions on my bill. This is ONE YEAR later. There was nobody in the business office to speak with me. I left a voice mail. No response (is this getting to sound familiar?) After three days of no response, I called to cancel my appointment. Doggone it, I dont care to do business with folks who refuse to respond to phone calls and letters. Two days ago, I get a call from the business office. They want me to pay the bill. This is the FIRST time I have begun to understand why BCBS took advantage of me and refused to pay. I argued that the PA should have told me that if she discussed my arm bruises or wrote a prescription BCBS would not pay. I was transferred from a newly hired business manager to the one whos apparently leaving. Rude. Simply rude. Took no responsibility, and they decided they would rather have $142 (amount due after BCBS paid their pittance AND made them mark down their marked up bill) than a loyal continuing couple. So, I am writing them off my list, find a real MD closer to me, and letting you folks who read reviews know that all the ones from 2011 and before are when the wonderful Michele Nacouzi was there. Shes not, and I do not recommend this poorly run and badly managed doc in a box.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sachdeva at North Raleigh for several years now. I searched to find a doctor that would listen and work with me to help manage my fibromyalgia and thyroid issues. Im an active person; regularly at the gym 5 days a week. I quit smoking. I take care of my health. Dr. Sechdeva always took that into account. I have managed to cut out much of the medications that I was prescribed in the early stages of my fibromyalgia diagnosis. Who wants to sit around with a billion side effects from all the interactions? Not me. I have things to do and classes to teach and a LIFE to enjoy! After many years of finally feeling GOOD again and my meds are managed, I make an appointment for this and am assigned to see Valerie. A Pa. Shes caused nothing but heartache and confusion since that day. 1. I told them, long ago, based on an Endrocrinologists summary that my levels run higher in blood panels than the MAJORITY of the population but my dosage was acceptable. Ms. Valerie, didnt bother to even check that and lobbied to reduce my Synthroid intake. 2. Advises that my blood pressure is higher than what theyd like to see but then calls in a REDUCED prescription for blood pressure medication. 3. Takes the time to point out a possible drug interaction....with two meds that Id been taking for over a year now and that my pharmacy had pointed out would be a possibility BEFORE I started taking them. Obviously, hasnt been an issue because it would have been noticed within the first month of taking these. I dont have time to deal with an incompetent and the complete lack of empathy or compassion with this new PA. Her treatment and demeanor are completely unacceptable. The entire staff and my Doctor get 5 stars. At this point, I could not in good conscious recommend this practice for long term care.

Definitely not impressed, would not recommend A friend recommended me to Dr Nacouzzis office a few years ago, and I have yet to feel like any of their physicians or Physicians Assistants actually care about me or my issues. After my physical check up appointments, I always leave with questions I wasnt given a chance to ask. Most recently I saw a Dr. Sashdeva, the worst yet. Didnt give me a chance to express concerns, and the breast exam I was given consisted of her honking my breasts like a frat boy at a party and that was basically it. The Physicians Assistant Ive seen previously did a better job than this Dr. Honestly, I get better womens care at Raleighs downtown Planned Parenthood, for sure. The North Raleigh Medical front office staff are nice enough, but the Drs and PAs there have never been particularly helpful, in my opinion. As of right now, I have been waiting over a week to hear back from the office regarding whether or not I need an MRI. When I need prescription refills, it takes them sometimes a week or longer to respond to my pharmacys request for the refill. They also sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy once. I used the urgent care walk-in option once which was fine, although the Dr that saw me at that point didnt speak English very well. Not recommended as a family doctor. Use for Urgent care matters if need be.

6PM DOES NOT MEAN 6PM! IT MEANS 5:30PM!! LESSON LEARNED!! So I show up at 5:45 needing stitches from a bad cut. Sign says open until 6( see photos). They looked at cut said it would definitely need to be stitched but proceeded to tell me they did not take patients after 5:30 and could not help me. I told them the sign on the door says 6. They said that is for prescription pickups. I laughed and told them I needed help and because I walked in 15 minutes later 5:30 seemed a bit silly to refuse to treat me as I had a clear cut that needed attention. They still refused to help me. At which point I spoke to them not so nicely which in my mind was well deserved (although I can be very loud when Im mad and feel like I am on the right side of an issue). It didnt help. I left, I took photos of their sign with their posted hours so I could blast them on social media so the 10 people who actually read my posts will know to never go to this urgent care facility. Makes me feel better. It wont affect their business in the least other than losing one patient but they suck and should never be considered as a good or decent healthcare provider.
