I had an emergency on Friday July 3rd at noon and called the office. I got a recording that the office was closed but the answering service would be available to help me and to hold on. 15 minutes later they had still not answered. I went on to the emergency room and was subsequently admitted. When I got out of the hospital I was told to contact my doctor to get a follow up visit. The earliest appointment was going to be in two weeks. I explained to the receptionist that might be too long to wait since I had just been in the hospital for a serious condition and would need my blood work checked as soon as I got off the antibiotics. She said she would have the nurse contact me to make arrangements to have my blood work drawn. Two days later and I still have not heard from the nurse. Monday I will be looking for a smaller more PATIENT oriented Doctors office.

I never had a bad experience at this practice. From the time I walk in and speak to the ladies at the front desk to the time I check out, everyone has been friendly and knowledgeable. I see Dr. Short and by far he is my favorite doctor to date (and Im not young!) and Sandy, my favorite nurse. They take time to listen, and I tend to talk too much. They dont make me feel like I am being shoved in and out. They office has taken great pains to deal with my horrible insurance. I feel like they are in the medical field for the right reason. The patient. That says a lot these days. I hope they stay around as long as I do!

UPDATE - After leaving the review below, they reached out and let me know they do now have a payment portal. Hopefully that gets printed on the invoices soon. Kudos for the follow-up! ORIGINAL: The treatment I got here was fine. How do they not have electronic billing though? To pay my bill, I had to write my credit card number, cvv, exp, etc, down on a piece of paper and snail mail that to them. Thats like the identity theft equivalent of walking down the street with your cash hanging out of your back pocket. No other payment method was offered.

More than $300 for the first visit? Its ridiculous! A doctor didnt make any test during my visit, I just got a referral for this price. First visit? I put a half of my information by myself via your tablet. Seriously, did you work hard then? I was asking for an itemized bill, but no one gave me that. I just wanted to know why its so expensive! Your games with an insurance company are not my deal! That was my last visit in your office

While I liked the doctor, the staff (esp. the receptionists) were HORRIBLE. I went in for lab work and waited 30 minutes without being called. When I asked the receptionist what the problem was she said, oh, you were supposed to go back to Labs and sign in there! It would have been nice if Id been told that when I checked in. This was just one of the bad experiences! Ive since fired the doctor!

I have been a patient here for a long time and have never had anything but positive experiences. The office is very well run and I am always seen very close to my appointment time. The receptionists are friendly and efficient, nurse call-backs are fast, and I really like my doctor. Getting an appointment in a reasonable timeframe can also be expected.

I have been coming to Raleigh Medical Group since my arrival in 08. The late Bruce Goldman was once of the best doctors and human beings I have ever had the priviledge to know. Lisa, his PA was the best I PA. I guess anyone can have a bad day, but my experience with the receptionists has always been very professional.

Very professional and caring staff. Have gone to Dr Jacobs for 10+ years. He is fantastic. His nurse Kitty is also very caring and good at her job. I, sadly, had to move over a year ago and I have yet to find a doctor that can compete with Dr. Jacobs and the entire staff.

God Awful. Poor service from the doctor and staff. Very difficult to get the office staff on the phone. I will not be back. Too many doctors in the area to choose from to endure this kind of crap.
