So if you want to be treated with disrespect, verbally abused and completely unacceptably by the staff at Magnolia family medicine, then this is the place for you to go. However if you think that a doctor and his employees should speak professionally and sympathetically to the patients, while also being able to handle billing correctly and properly. Then I recommend going to another Dr. While Dr Gutsin and his 1 nurse are very kind to you while in the office Dr. Gutsin allows his billing and secretaries to treat and speak abhorrently to his patients, and allows them to hang up on the patient, and then be told that he will not call you back. They should be able to speak professionally to a paying patient without hostility and disdain, simply because You call and try to make sure that a billing issue is being handle in a timely and efficient manner. I mean 6months seems to be a long time to contact the insurance company and handle the billing. I also was treated as a hypochondriac because the Dr. was unable to give me a medication to cure my strep throat. for 6months he gave me the same medication that was not working, and was having me return to see him EVERY week! So again this is just not a good practice. I will not be returning to him and my insurance company is witness to the berating I received on a conference call with them and the Dr office. Will never recommend them to anybody!

I explained that my husband and I had an unexpected move and that I still had an unresolved medical issue that I would like to see someone in Wilmington about. I explained the issue in detail when she asked me why I would like to see Dr. Gutsin and I got a next day appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early and had to wait over an hour. There was no apology or acknowledgment that I had waited that long when I finally got called back. When I explained my problem (like I had explained to the woman who answered the phone) he informed me he did not deal with that type of "female issue." He then proceeded to laugh and make fun of me to my face regarding two other issues, one including a past medical surgery I required on my jaw that had been planned since childhood. During the course of our visit in the actual exam room a woman (a nurse or medical assistant) barged in and discussed another patients file with the doctor. I have been to a lot of doctors in my short lifetime and this was by far the worst. He was the rudest, most unprofessional, and uncaring physician I have ever been to. I would not recommend him to ANYONE.

I love Dr. Gutsin and his staff. They are laid back, professional and honest. I love the sense of humor around the office and Dr. Gutsins sense of humor makes me feel comfortable. I can be honest with him and I feel he is always honest with me. He respects my opinion and trusts that I know my body and know what I want in regards to it. I have never had a negative experience with him or any of his staff, and Ive been a patient of Dr. Gutsin for more than 4 years.

The first visit was fine. I called in for a med refill and was treated as though I was uneducated. The woman on the phone, Crystal, cut me off time after time and would not allow me to explain myself. I will not go back.
