When I first walked through the door they had a large food spread laid out for customers and had different booths set up allowing people to look at and try on all the new available frames and styles, totally normal, what I did not like was how before my exam was completed the doctor had already written my glasses and contact prescription. I was never shown or had help looking at and deciding on styles of glasses. I was told I had to pay $700 before anything would be ordered in-which I obviously did not order anything since I did not have $700 in cash, also my insurance was never even mentioned. Mind you I never picked out a frame or had not selected the brand of contact that I wanted to order.I was then told I had a hole in my eye and it was no big deal and I could get it checked if I wanted (Later I received an urgent referral to a retina specialist charging me for a missed appointment I knew nothing about). After I walked myself to the lobby, vision blurred due to a "dye" she place in my eye, the doctor walked to me and said wow youre still here? I replied yes you have to check my eyes. She told me, while in the lobby not in an exam room, my eyes did not need to be check I had no change in vision and I was free to leave. When I left I was confused and til this day i am still unsure if i had a complete eye exam. I received an email stating my glasses were ready to pick up from that appointment that was 3 months ago. I emailed and called the office to clarify what was actually ordered and I have yet to hear from anyone. Im not bashing the facility just giving my experience this place just may not be the place for me.

I have used Forsyth Family Eye care since I moved to Winston. Each time I go, I give them the benefit of the doubt and each time, I am sorely disappointed. The doctors are FANTASTIC, however, the staff is sub-par to say the least. I am both a glasses and contacts wearer and have never had an order go correctly with either product, and after outsourcing my glasses order 2 years ago, I am finally doing the same with contacts. I will not be returning solely on the basis of the staff here. They do not return calls, they do not process orders on time, and they are beyond inconsiderate of peoples time constraints, financial resources, and schedules.

Ive been going here for awhile. Docs are great, but agree with comments that the staff is less than desired. Last time had an unpleasant experience as they were not helpful with information to the point of outright anger displayed towards me for asking questions.
