I have been with the doctor over 6 years. Over the passed three years I have been told by the doctor my cataract surgery would not be cover by insurance until it got much worse. I have called and stated various times I have not been able to see due to it getting worse. This year I had to purchase a new set of glasses (still not cant see clearly even with them on) that ended up costing me over $700. I liked my old frames that I had purchased from them and when they were damaged, needed to replaced, they tried to sell me overpriced name brand frames (that is all they carry). The worse part of my experience is the dishonesty. I felt betrayed that they told me lies just to make money. I am very disappointed.

Absolutely terrible! I called to make an appointment and told the receptionist that I needed contacts. I provided mu insurance information and was told not a problem. I arrived and filled out the proper paperwork and awaited my exam only to be told that my contact exam WAS NOT covered under my insurance. The doctor who was supposed to conduct the exam just stood there without a thing to say. She literally had no personalty from the moment she first introduced herself. I will NEVER go back here! They wasted 1 and 1/2 hours of my day!

Great place! The staff are super nice and great at every step of the visit, the environment is chic and comfortable, and Dr. Braun is the best! Very thorough and answers all your questions, no matter how complicated or silly. Also, their option for having pictures taken to look for damage rather than having your eyes dilated is so amazing - my least favorite part of eye exams gone! Thank you all for everything!

I love the doctors and staff. They ARE very thorough and sensitive to patient needs. Last year my regular exam revealed that I had glaucoma. I appreciate that they were able to find it and now Im being treated for it. Our sight is so important that you must have good Eye Care practitioners helping you. You couldnt ask for a more professional eye center! Myself, my wife and two daughters are patients and love the staff and atmosphere. My wife and I have seen both Dr. Brauss and Dr. Shafer and couldnt be happier with our experience and results. Both of my girls are patients of Dr. Katie Brauss and love her. This is the best full service eye care center in South Florida.

Dr. Shaffer has been my eye doctor for almost 10 years. He, along with the rest of the staff are professional and always go out of their way to take care of their customers. The office is beautiful, and they always have the latest assortment of eye-wear from normal glasses to nice sunglasses. If you need optometrist, do yourself a favor and go see Island City Eyecare.

Ive been going to ICE for a few years to have my eyes checked. I cant say enough great things about Dr Shaffer and the professional staff. Not only do I receive an excellent exam, but ICE has the best glasses in town. Btw, I always buy my contacts through the office, not online. Dont hesitate to give this place a try!!!

Nice and friendly staff. Dr Shaeffer makes you feel comfortable and at home while getting your eye exam. Nice selection of designer frames and contact lenses. Love my Ici Berlins so much that our household has 5 of them! Very Happy with my experience and would recommend to everyone.

Todays visit was excellent from start to finish; it was a thorough examination and, might I add, extremely informative not because I asked a lot of questions but rather because they were explained to me by Dr. Brauss. It was as though I was attending a class for learning purposes .

Highway robbery. They wanted $158 just for the exam. I hung up before they could finish. I came from a state where cost of living is higher, yet I only paid $85 for everything, including trial lenses. (Actual lenses I bought at Costco, as youd be an idiot to buy them elsewhere.)

Dr. Katie Brauss gave a really thorough exam and the staff helped me pick glasses that are so fabulous people stop me in airports to find out where I got them. Also great service with contact lenses which I always forget to order until I am out.

Ive had glasses/contacts my entire life. Dr. Schaffers exam was the most enjoyably thorough experience I have ever had. The staff was really friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Will definitely recommend.
