Over the years for myself and my children I have had some excellent dentists, and in contrast I have had others with lots of whistles and bells that were rather mediocre. Recently I had an insurance change and went to Dr. Nelsons team. Developmentally the team was well prepared to partner with my three year old to give her some control and choices, yet also get things done like x-rays and focusing on learning tooth care and prevention. The team was willing to listen to both the parent and child, and also focus on giving my daughter the best care. My daughter was frightened to lay down and go up in the dental chair, but she took steps to help man the button and did not have to sit in the chair more than she could handle. The team understand that a good experience will build upon an even better one next time when she will feel even more excited and feel more comfortable. Furthermore, the environment was fun and stimulating with color fish murals and enormous stuffed animals to hug during the session. There was a balance of both technology as well as non technological teaching and interactions to provide the best care. In the past I worked as a dental assistant in the 90s for 5 years with an exceptional community dentist and team. Now I have been in the healthcare field for over 10 years as a nurse, I am a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Thanks to the team at Dr. Nelson for creating a positive experience for my child.

My son has had HORRIBLE past experiences with another dentistry, so I decided to give Nelson Pediatric Dentistry a try. Right away, the front counter ladies were very personable and friendly. They could see my son was scared and they reassured him. Penny was my sons hygienist/tech, and WOW. All I can say is she is a miracle worker. My son started crying from fear before anything was even started and penny was able to calm him down. She went at his pace and showed him everything prior to doing it. By the end of the whole appointment, my son was completely relaxed. Dr. Nelson was amazing with him and he is one of those people who just know how to communicate to kids on their level. Not to mention, Dr. nelson was very thorough and i left knowing exactly everything I needed to know. Great overall communicator. My son thinks he was pretty cool. I never thought I would hear my son say that he likes going to the dentist, but he did! I recommend this dentist. Especially to kids who have a underlying fear.

Took my daughter for her first dental visit ever. We loved the decor theme of "under the sea" which made her feel like a mermaid :) Very clean, calm office. Staff very courteous and spoke directly to my daughter, treating her with kindness and respect. Miss Stephanie, the assistant, explained everything she was going to do in a way my daughter could understand, but not treating her like a baby. The x-rays were done quickly and comfortably while I was able to look on through the entire process. When Dr. Nelson came in he also spoke to my daughter and explained what was to take place and made her feel so proud for having NO CAVITIES! He answered all of our questions thoroughly and was very patient. She got to hang a fish on the wall for having no cavities, and she got to choose a prize from the treasure chest. It couldnt have been a better experience! I just wish my other daughters had had the chance to visit this office when they were little.

We are so happy to have finally found the PERFECT pediatric dentist for our 3 year and 18 month old boys. I had taken my 3 year old to pediatric dentists before I found Dr. Nelson and I was not completely happy with them. I am 100% happy with Dr. Nelson. He really takes the time with his patients and he really cares about the kids. The office does an awesome job on making your childs visit enjoyable and comfortable. My son recently had some dental work done and I could not be more happy with the outcome. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined. This dental office is 2 hours away from our home and the care we receive makes our drive well worth it. Dr. Nelson and his staff are the best around. I feel extremely lucky to have been able to found such a great dental office for my children.

I came to Nelson Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics with hopes of getting my smile, picture-perfect, for my wedding day which was 6 months away and met Dr. Catie Miller who certainly exceeded my expectations. I was given all possible treatment options and felt very well-informed before I made the decision to go with Invisalign and before starting treatment. Not only did I get my picture-perfect smile in time for my wedding but the exceptional service and care I received gave me more confidence and put me right at ease. Dr. Miller, Shawna ,and the staff are super friendly, accommodating and highly efficient. Rest assured youll be in great hands and will get the results you want and need from Dr. Miller and her team. I sure did and cant thank them enough!

If you have a kid, this is the dentistry for you! Took my daughter in today and was absolutely amazed by how professional and caring they were with her. She previously had a bad experience at a different dentist and is very anxious and nervous about going to the dentist. The ladies at the front desk answered all my questions and were very accommodating. Marissa was the dental hygienist that helped us and she made my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed the entire visit. Dr. Nelson explained everything so that I could understand it and made my daughter feel comfortable as well. I normally dont chime in on social media unless the experience is that amazing. I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone!

I took my son to Dr. Nelson earlier this week and was impressed! The office manager with glasses was very sweet with my son and had him entertained while I completed his paperwork. The hygienist was a little goofy but kids love goofy(mine does anyway). Dr Nelson was very nice and informative. He seemed genuinely interested in providing my son with the best experience at the dentist. He explained the concerns he had and the process to get my son back on track. When it was time to check out the office manager already knew what my son needed and exactly what my insurance would cover, it was such a great dental experience for me and my son. I will definitely recommend Dr. Nelson to any parent.

All 3 of our children love seeing Dr. Nelson for their dentistry needs and 2 of them have had orthodontic treatment with Dr. Miller, the third to start shortly. We drive almost an hour one way passing many dentistry and orthodontic offices on our way but there is not any other office we will ever stop at. The office is extremely welcoming, family friendly, accommodating and their staff is top notch. It is an added benefit that both the dentist and orthodontist are located in the same building. We are able to schedule their cleanings on the same day as an orthodontic treatment. Our family highly recommends Nelson Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics.
