This is a good option for those who have no other choice. The nurses are very nice but thr doctors...not my favorite. In my personal experience, they dont listen and more or less do the bare minimum to shut you up. Ive noticed that they dont like to give you actual treatment to FIX the issue. They only give you pain killers and ways to tolerate the issue better. (Maintenance) this kind of reminds me of oregon health plan. (Its their way or the highway) Im not saying all of the doctors are like this or that its not worth trying out, but its certainly not my best experience.

As a government run facility, some of the staff are enlisted or military personnel and the clinic is run in a military style fashion. Drug tests are given frequently by the pharmacy prior to the picking up of medication something unheard of or unimaginable at a regular pharmacy. The doctor I saw, Dr. Champagne was awesome but the pharmacy staff was cold, entitled, and treated customers as more of a problem than anything else. I would recommend going anywhere else for better healthcare.

I love Dr. Champagne and his assistants Lane and Shannon. I recieved excellent care for 25 years at my Indian Health clinic down in cali, but I have to say, Dr. Champagne and his team has my childhood clinic beat. They are so friendly, knowledgeable and caring. They have me look forward to doctor visits instead of dreading them. I highly recommend this clinic. The reception is not as friendly as Id like to see, but thats okay, I still love this place anyway.

Im very pleased with the care Ive received at Chemawa Indian Health Center. The Indian Health Service needs more funding, a fact that shows in this bare-bones operation, which is the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars. Otherwise, the staff and facility are wonderful.

The pain control is old school. They have very limited services. 1 overworked dentist on staff. They are stingy with the effective medications. I had an infection and they gave me 3 rounds of the same weak antibiotic. Typical government care. Meh.

Have been trying to get someone to return a call to make an appointment. They do not return calls and when you DO get a live person on the phone they make it clear that they have no desire to help.

We drive 2 and a half hours to Grand Ronde because we dont like the attitudes at Chemawa.
