Some employees here are well meaning and try to be helpful. However, they are working for one of the worst "insurance providers" in Oregon. They have strict and unnecessary formularies that have arbitrary cutoffs. For some reason sever IBS-D isnt considered a bad enough illness along with a litany of other life altering diseases. This "insurance provider" is so greedy that they just assume poor people can deal with IBS-D without a doctor. After all, IBS is just in your head /s. I have had the employees tell me over the phone that a policy of theirs makes no sense and is counterproductive to my health which just increases what WVCH has to pay in the future. How are those 6 trips to the ER for pancreatitis caused by my lack of treatment for my IBS and anxiety treating you WVCH? Since you wont pay for a MRI of my pancreas who knows what other problems I have. Then you send me to a "specialist" who was just out of school who just prescribed me a drug you idiots dont even cover. I dont know how many people have died because of WVCH but I know it is way to high for a "healthcare" company. The owners and medical advisers that work here should be ashamed. They get to sit in their ivory tower making the poor employees take the abuse that they rightfully deserve. I am so sorry healthcare in this country has fell so woefully short. Medicare for all is the solution. This company shouldnt exist, it is an abomination.

its a SHAME that OHP uses this company as their default health insurance company. its clear that they do not really care about the patients but that they are in it for the kickbacks and the money. after complaining about tinnitus. My Dr sent me to a hearing specialist. When they couldnt find any issue, the auditory tech made an appointment with me for a sleep medicine study; after which they gave me no option but to get a CPAP machine. Now, there are other ways to handle sleep apnea that are much more user friendly and better for the environment; but since Wvch decided that a small mobile appliance is done by a Dentist and not a Dr. its not covered by insurance!! looks to me like Kickbacks all around!!! Tell OHP that this company shouldnt be the fall back choice!!!!!

If you are looking for the opportunity to be shamed, talked down to, or treated like a medicaid patient, you came to the right place. At WVCH the staff strives to make you feel like your time is completely wasted. They are so empowered with insurance ego, that they make procedures for rape investigations take up to 14 days for approval while the victim is left waiting. Its a shame that WVCH is able to be the OHP provider of choice while being such a corrupt company. Shame on you. Shame on you.

For someone who needs an echocardiogram as well as a heart stress test, this insurance company requires that the tests must be scheduled on separate days so they can get more money. This is a burden on patients who have to take time and travel twice to the medical office. It is not even possible to have an echo the same day as the doctor consult. This policy is across the board: only one issue per doctor visit. Also, 99% of staff are condescending, mistake ridden and ill-informed.

They look at everyone as "drug seekers". All you have to do is say this: "ELDER ABUSE" and you will be dealt with. They will throw you out without you having any recourse. Shame on this place.
