There are not enough words to describe how fantastic of a person Dr. Conklin is. My kid smacked a tree with his teeth in a sledding accident recently. He did some extensive damage to his top teeth and gums... more than what the ER could deal with. We were referred to an oral surgeon. Unfortunately, it was now Sunday morning and theres not a lot of skilled oral surgeons on a Sunday. We would have to wait til Monday... at some point in the day when they could fit my kid into their schedule. Parents back me up here, if your kid has a big hurt like that, you will do anything in your power to make that go away, quickly. My wife tried frantically to find some help for him. In a Hail Mary pass, she reached out to our kids dentist. Dr Conklin met us at his office between meetings (on his day of rest) because he knew how important our kids wellness was to us. He and his staff took a situation that seemed completely out of control and brought order to it. He restored my kids smile, and brought peace to a couple very worried parents. We are forever grateful for this mans kind heart, and will be recommending Sandy Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a dentist. Add to list Edit

I will start by saying this: I have extreme dental anxiety, and have as long as I remember. Otherwise, Im a perfectly normal, well adjusted adult. That said, after moving to Sandy, I booked some dental appointments for my children here (7 YO boys). As uneasy as I am about being in the dentist, I am all the more so when it comes to strangers putting metal, pokey instruments in the small mouths of my children. I was immediately at ease here. Friendly faces at the door, and EXTREMELY kind and informative assistants/hygienists. Cleanings and sealants were placed, and it was a fun experience for my boys. Then the doctor comes in to do some fillings. He was gentle, funny, kind, and everything you hope for in a dentist! My little guy didnt even flinch when then anesthetic (needle) was put in the gum/mouth. He talked right at my little guy in terms he would understand (and also me). When we left my shy little boy have an uncharacteristic bear hug to the dental assistant! We look forward to more preventative and routine care by an excellent office. A side note- we DID receive 2 reminder texts before our visit! :)

Update Tonight I got a call from Doctor Konklin who actually apologized to me for how my daughter and I were treated. Honestly I was impressed he took responsibility for the action of his employees and gave me his cell number and told me to call him if he could do anything to help. I will be willing to give him a chance again if the need arises he really seams to care about people Original Review My daughter was assigned to this dentist by OHP. I called them to try to get her in, she had a baby tooth break off and the gums had started to turn grey. The person who answered the phone was at best just someone to answer a phone. I was hoping to get some advice or and xray or something. I felt that she refused to help in anyway other than to say youll have to call back some other time. With the patient being a child maybe going the extra mile would be a good thing. The only thing I can say is if your in an emergency dont count on getting any help here

I think the Dr is great but the staff not so much, been kinda rude every time, last time I waited 25 min past my appt and then asked to reschedule as I do run a business myself and am on a schedule, got greif from one of the receptionist who said we will get you out ontime, my thought was I dont really appreciate paying full price for an express cleaning. Also I didnt care for the dental hygentist either, too rough and pretty rude. Im an adult and I dont care to be scolded Ive had extensive dental care for 12 years of my life that wasnt with them !!! Argued with me regarding my past treatment, I think I know what was done.

I cant say enough good things about sandy family dentist!!! Every single person from the receptionist upon check-in, the assistants, hygienists, dentist and receptionist upon check-out are simply wonderful. Dr. Conklin and his assistants treat us all like friends. They are so kind to my children and always listen to what they have to say. Im always able to get an emergency appointment if needed. I feel like I am treated fairly and never pushed into services that I dont need. If you are looking for a family friendly dentist, then this is definitely the place to go!!!

This is the last dentist office on earth Id ever go to on top of the receptionists being extremely rude their policies are completely ridiculous they require you to call in 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment or they will stop being your PCD but it is not policy for them to do call outs to remind patients that they have a dentist appointment you think making $500 every appointment would at least require them to do a call out but no the manager stated "are dentists office is unreliable" I have never been treated with such disrespect in all of my life

I have been to Dr. Conklins office for regular cleanings and, most recently, to have a wisdom tooth removed that began to cause me grief while on vacation. For this, they were able to get me in quickly and performed the procedure professionally and thoughtfully - I was somewhat nervous going in, but Dr. Conklin made me feel very comfortable and I left with a big smile! Everyone in the office was incredibly receptive and friendly, and I will definitely continue to receive dental care at Sandy Family Dentistry.

I am new but so far I do not like this place. Any other dentist I have been to were nice and Gave you calls the day before your appointment cuz they were understanding and knew that things happen and life can get out of your control at times causing you to lose track of other stuff. This place scolded me like a frikin child and said if I miss another appointmet I cant go anymore even if its not my fault. Thats not how they should treat people. Worst dental office ive ever been to.

The staff at Sandy Family Dentistry are always friendly, caring and competent. I really like my hygienist and feel like I get wonderful cleanings. Dr. Conklin is thorough in his exams and explains needed treatment and procedures. I have been pleased with any dental work he has done which has included a crown and fillings. He is gentle and takes care that I am comfortable when working on my teeth. I highly recommend Sandy Family Dentistry to everyone.

Over the years I have had some bad experiences with dentists, which led me to have some fairly bad anxiety. Dr Conklin and staff have been nothing short of amazing!! I have had cleaning, root planing and scaling, and a total of 20 extractions. I just got my full upper denture today! So excited to have had the team at Sandy Family Dentistry with me throughout this life changing journey! I love you guys!!

My family and I have been patients of Dr Conklin for several years now. Dr Conklin and his staff are always kind and friendly. They remember us every single appointment. My children love to see Dr Conklin! He is great with children! I love that the office also provides so many appointment reminders. Its impossible to forget an appointment!
