I have been a patient at this office for a while. This visit was my fourth and my sons first. My insurance changed since my last visit. When I called to schedule our appointment I explained my new insurance and wanted to be sure that it was accepted. The person on the phone seemed confused, so I contacted my insurance my myself to verify what they covered. I have Aetna and my vision coverage is covered and billed towards my medical insurance. One exam per year and $200 towards glasses or contacts. I had to explain this several times while at the office.... and it still didnt seem to sink in. It basically made me feel like I was burden to the staff... not including Dr. Falbo. He was professional and curtious. This was also the first time I visited the office during the evening. It was chaotic and unorganized. I also feel like its ridiculous that I have to pay a $60 fee to have an "evaluation of current contact lenses". I am 36 years old and have worn contact lenses since the age of 12. My prescription has been the same for years. I dont need to try on a pair of lenses that are the EXACT ones I have worn for years just to basically be told, "okay, those feel good, thatll be $60". "Oh, and we cant bill your insurance for that". I was also not impressed with the situation regarding finding frames for my son. Hes nine, and impressionable. The woman who helped us, basically ignored my recommendation and opinion when it came to his glasses. Last I checked I was his mother and the one paying the bill. I understand you want a kid to like his glasses, but again hes nine. A little support for the parents would be nice. Again, Dr. Falbo and his assistant were great. But I left feeling frustrated, and angry for being charged $60 for a contact lense evaluation and the over feeling of being a burden while we were there. I hope to be able to return to this practice but will definitely be keeping my options open in the future.

Seeking an alternative to permanent LASIK, I tried CRT lenses through Advanced Vision Care. They told me there would be no permanent side effects. WRONG! When the CRTs didnt work out, I wound up with some double vision / glare where there is high contrast in dim to dark settings. Tried calling them for help, but the doctor is in only certain days and rarely returns my messages. To top it off, the doctor claims that these issues must have pre-existed. They most certainly did not! Wish I had stopped when I first encountered issues with the CRT, instead of listening to doctor who pressed me to continue forward. The doctor also wants to blame my pupil size on my issues. First off, my eyes were measured by 5 different machines before, during, and after trying the CRTs. No mention was made of my pupils until I mentioned having problems. If my pupils were as they claim, which I do not support, then it wouldve been nice to have been warned before starting the CRT. Again, I wasnt having vision problems before treatment, only after. I could read my phone without trouble and drive at night, now there is glare and a ghosting. Also, my left eye keeps going out of focus randomly. This is something it would do when on the CRT, but I was told it was part of the process... Update: After some follow up visits and basic eye drops, Im still having same issues.

The contact lens fitment fee of $60 was not mentioned until after I called to get the pair of lenses I have a $100 rebate for instead of the expensive ones they gave me. I called to ask if I can get a trial pair of the new ones stop in and grab them and they wanted to charge me $60, set up an appointment for a "fitting" etc... Then they tried telling me my prescription was only for the brand lens they gave me... Ive never heard of that. It is a prescription for the strength, base curve, and diameter. Pretty sure they got my strength wrong too in my left eye. I would NEVER go back to this place due to the way they treated me. Ill be going to Dr. Scott G. Smith all the way in Aliquippa even though its 45 minutes away and a small practice thats where Im going. The doctor piled on about 4 months of trials from every brand he had my prescription in when Acuvue stopped making my previous lens so I could find something I liked. Advanced Vision Care is deceitful, and render services you dont agree to pay for before you agree to it.

I have been a customer of Advanced Vision Care for many years, the reason being is the professionalism of the entire staff. I just had my yearly exam, Dr Falbo did a complete exam, touching on all points that can cause vision problems, especially for senior citizens. I have my new glasses with a new prescription and they are working great. The opticians were helpful in selecting a frame that is functional and fits well, keeping the lenses in the proper position. The turnaround time from ordering to delivery was very short, the office called when the new glasses arrived to schedule an appointment. Again the opticians took the time to ensure that the glasses fit properly they worked correctly. Another selling point is they stand behind their product and will do any necessary adjustments or repairs for the life of the glasses. This was a pleasant experience and I am very happy with the end result.

Dr. Fazzini and the Advanced Vision Care staff could not possibly have been more enjoyable! We found them by a Google search when one of us NEEDED new eye glasses. From the first moment we walked in, we were hooked on the wonderful staff, the office environment and the speed/ease with which our appointment was completed. Before we left the first visit, we scheduled everyone else in our family to have an exam too. Every one of our appointments have been ON TIME, smooth and efficient, yet still very thorough, attentive and informative. Such a treat! Additionally, its really clear that this entire team is impressively knowledgable in their field. We lucked out big time on this place! Highly recommend.

I havent had an eye exam in years. I heard from a friend about Advanced Vision Cares wonderful services. I had a complete eye and vision workup this past week 1/15/14. Everyone was so professional amd kind making it one of the most pleasant doctors visits Ive had in a long time.Since I hadnt been to an eye doctor in quite a while, I needed a lot of attention. Everything from the front desk,to the tests, to the doctor was smooth and clearly explained....Dr Penny was terrific. She took the time to explain everything. She is professional but very kind and caring. I will recommend her and this fine group to everyone I know.

Dr Penny is fantastic! I trust her completely to care for my incredibly nearsightedness, astigmatism and my frequent very bad habit of sleeping in my contacts way too often. My 6 and 5 year old children also see her. They loved having their vision checked. Dr Penny explained things to all of us in a clear, concise, patient and friendly manner. The entire office is very warm and welcoming. Ive been there accompanied by my older children and a nursing infant. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend Dr Penny and the entire staff at advanced vision card to everyone.
