I was referred to Dr. Graves Office by my niece who works with someone that goes to him for alopecia, which is what I have. Before scheduling my first appointment, I checked out his website and read so many terrible reviews about the rudeness of his staff, the long wait, the unprofessionalism & the bathroom situation. Well I am glad that I didnt base my opinion of making an appointment from the numerous bad reviews. I called and scheduled an appointment with a young lady that was not rude over the phone at all. When I went for my 1st appointment I was expecting the worse, but the staff was pleasant and I may have waited about 30-35 minutes before I was called to see the doctor. Dr. Graves didnt want to just give me shots in my head like my last dermatologist did, he suggested that my blood be tested to see exactly whether the shots were needed or not. When I called to reschedule my follow-up appointment, the young lady that answered the phone was very pleasant and very professional. I even thanked her for being so kind and not what the reviews made them out to be. After reading all the bad reviews, I wanted to share my experience to let the public know not to judge a company by someone elses experiences. Im glad I made my appointment, and I just hope the service I received remains the same. S. Thomas

I do not recommend this place the office staff is rude and very disrespectful to the patients. I had one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a doctors office. I was having a problem with my insurance and instead of looking up my plan or calling to fix the problem they just told me I couldnt be seen unless i pay $250 for the visit. They did not try to help me at all and the two receptionists at the desk sat there and rolled their eyes at me while the office manager basically told me they were to busy to look into what was wrong with my insurance. The one who checked me in threw my insurance card and ID back at me when she was done copying it and both my cards fell on the floor and i had to pick them up. I can say that i have never been disrespected the way i have been disrespected at this office. Dr. Graves is a good doctor but i would never step back into this office i now go to Ringpfeil dermatology and i love it the staff actually treat you with care. Find another place to go because Graves Dermacare is terrible. Only go here if you want to deal with rude receptionist who role they eyes at you throw stuff at you and pile so much make up on their faces that they look like their going to a night club. HORRIBLE PLACE.

This office is a waste of time and money. I have had to wait for around an hour for each visit, and they are trying to schedule needless follow-up visits. I have been on a common medication for the last 4 years, but because I moved from Seattle I had to find a new doctor to renew the prescription. I went to Graves because the online scheduling was convenient. Although the risks with my medication are very low, they tried to schedule me for follow-up after follow-up. They wouldnt give me more than 3 months of medication without a visit to the doctor (another $100 in their pocket each time). I had to wait for an hour every time, and I only saw the actual doctor once. I felt like this was a big scam.

Dr. Graves is phenomenal, my daughter struggled with a skin condition that no dermatologist could figure out how to treat, and he hit the nail right on the head with her fist visit. But his office staff especially the office manager Leslie, are the worst medical staff I have encountered, His office staff does not follow up with any concerns you call there office about. And they are rude and unaccommodating. There probably would be better treatment of a PAYING PATIENT" at a free clinic. He is an awesome Dr. but his office staff sucks.

I used to feel the same way. I had been going to Dr. Graves since he had 1 office on Greene Street. I thought the wait was outrageous. I went to another Dr. who was said to be all that. I came back and stopped complaining. Dr. Graves is among the top in his field. He keeps up with the latest in skin care for African Americans and has made some ground breaking strides to overcome baldness in men and women. I am very proud of him. Isnt the best worth waiting for?

If I could leave negative stars I would. The nurses are all over the place- My first visit they made me change rooms about 4 times...after having waited an hour to be seen. The office manager is extremely rude- she muttered some snarky response to a problem I was trying to deal with at the front desk so we ended up in an argument. They only take cash or check- what kind of doctors office doesnt take payment via card in 2017? A bad one.

Horrible experience. Unprofessional and gossipy technician yelled at me to "open this door" when I was getting dressed. Almost an hour and a half wait time. I could hear the technician gossip that I refused to sign the pre-surgery form because I had just seen it for the first time. Left before even having a consultation. Find another dermatologist who has a staff that is respectful of patients and their medical privacy rights.

Absolute horrendous wait times. My first appointment the doctor didnt show up to the office until 3pm and the first appointment that day was at 1:30pm. I tried to give the doctor some slack and had similar wait times on my next two appointments. While the doctor may be good he shows no respect for any of his patients or their time. I wont be back.

Dr. Graves is amazing. I have been a patient for over 10 years. He was able to treat me for things other Doctors could not even identify. The medications, etc really work. He was able to help me with Excezma. I travel from Delaware just to have him treat me. God bless this man! He has a gift.--F. Bowers

Leslie a "manager" very rude and inconsiderate. I was brushed off all day long when trying to obtain a simple fax of my medical record. Long waits...I will be finding a new dermatologist. This is my first google review ever in my 5 years of using google. Thats how terrible my experience was.

This is a horrible place to go to. I came for my 12 oclock appointment at 11:40 and wasnt seen by the actual doctor until 2:15. Even after I repeatedly came out thinking they forgot about me. I was simply getting injections that only take less than 5 min. HORRIBLE DONT GO. UNPROFESSIONAL

The wait to be seen is ridiculous... My appointment was at 5:15 and I wasnt taken to the back room until 6:20 and then waited about twenty minutes before seeing the doctor...however after my less than 10 minute consultation Im somewhat pleased.....

My experience here has been good except for the wait time. I dread my appointments because I know that the wait will be a hassle. Dr. Graves is very efficient and he moves fast once you actually make it to the room.
