I had such high hopes for this place because when my husband took our older dog there, he had a great visit! I guess he got a different vet than we did. He said he had the guy doctor and we had the girl when I went. Anyway, I took our almost two year old 80lb pit mix. in for his yearly shots. He has never EVER had a bad reaction at the vet, and I really didnt see this coming. Looking back, it could have been prevented. They did all the hard stuff first (needles and blood work) and left the room for a good ten minutes turning my dog into a scared, anxiety ridden mess. When they came back, they expected him to trust them and let them examine him, which didnt happen. He didnt trust them anymore. Would you? Anyway, he was stressed out and in an effort to get them away from him (and me, we were on the floor in the corner of a small exam room) he went after them, at which point I had to muzzle my animal (who, by the way, Ive never even seen growl at a human before) and was told not to let my dog around kids/people anymore and to muzzle him when we go out because of what he is now capable of. Seriously? I found the entire visit extremely unprofessional. The vet tech wouldnt even come back into the room because she was scared of my dog and he is now labeled at this hospital. If he wanted to hurt them, he would have. I found the whole experience extremely upsetting and will be taking my pets elsewhere from now on.

We were not taken back to the exam room until 30-40 minutes past our appointment time (with no update that anyone was running late). Then we sat in the exam room for another 15-20 minutes until we were seen by the vet tech. Again, with no explanation of delays. Once the vet tech was in she really struggled to listen to what I was saying: we had two dogs with us, and were preparing for a long trip. One dog gets anxious and the other dog gets car sick. This was repeated multiple times. When she came out to deliver the meds we had discussed, she gave me car sick medicine for both dogs because she swore they both got car sick. We had to go through the process of getting that medicine taken off the invoice. And we again had to wait 15-20 minutes to be checked out. We were at the office for over 2 hours to be seen for well visits. To say this is unacceptable is a gross understatement, especially considering we saw the vet for no more than 7 minutes. In addition to all of this, the front desk staff (3 individuals) was sitting at the desk gossiping about drama that had taken place that day. To spend close to $600 for an experience like this is outrageous.

I love the vets at coventry animal hospital and the staff is friendly as well. Two years ago my german shephard ate something she shouldnt have and when i took her to coventry they found she had an intestinal blockage. Dr Gardner wasted no time and she drove sheba to ludwigs corner where she had the surgery and they took excellent care of her after the surgery. They definately put the pets first. They didnt ask for the payment for her surgery or post op they were just focused on getting her better. When i picked her up at ludwigs corner i was able to make payment arrangements. Theyve been my vets since i had my golden retriever rockey who since has passed but, i trust them with my pets. Contrary to that id wouldnt take my worst enemies dog to metropolitan hospital where your money is more important to them than your pets.

Words cannot begin to explain the faith and trust I have with Coventry and Ludwigs Corner veterinary hospitals. The techs greet me each visit with as much love for me as for my pets. They are kind, sensitive to my needs as an owner and they take great attention to the details of each visit. The doctors are beyond reproach. Each time I feel like the dr I see cares more about my pets well being than I do....if that is even possible. Dr. Dudas is a particular favorite. Her ease of care and the clarity of explanations make me feel like a viable partner in the care of my animals instead of a clueless participant. Overall the diagnosis and the compassion with which it is given is outstanding. I drive almost 30 minutes to see them and it is worth every single mile. Both hospitals are exemplars of quality veterinary care!!!

My pets and I have been customers of Coventry Animal Hospital for more than 15 years! I believe that in itself speaks volumes in how much we trust and value the people who care for our beloved pets. From the moment of contact, you and your pet are acknowledged. The professionalism is further extended when greeted by the technicians. They are courteous and take their time during the interview, making sure to ask all pertinent questions prior to seeing the veterinarian. Dr. Marchetti has done a wonderful job throughout the years, keeping my troop healthy and happy. I cannot leave out Dr Gardner as well as Dr Levin. They also have been indispensable in a pinch. I also have taken advantage of their boarding and grooming services on several occasions, and would highly recommend that as well.

Contrary to the two other reviews, I have *never* had a problem with Coventry Animal Hospital. From the excellent customer service I receive on the phone, to the prompt and courteous greeting when I walk in the door, to the attentive and compassionate care from the vet, there is never anything lacking. Every time I call I get professional attention and my needs are met. Every time I walk in the door (and with my pets I am sometimes at the vet once a week), I and my pets are provided excellent and compassionate care. I cant give one negative comment as this hospital engenders only positives. Dr. Harcleroad, Dr. Gardner and Dr. Marchetti are topnotch in their fields and are always willing to go the extra mile to provide care for my pets. Kudos to them and to their entire staff.

I love Coventry Animal Hospital. Weve been going for a little over 9 years and I have to say they go above and beyond. There were several times where we had an emergency and they squeezed us in therefore making some appointments run late, so when they are running late for our appointment, I know its because they probably had an emergency that day. They see everyone! If I ask if they are running late, they are so apologetic. They dont turn people away. We even were seen after 7:30. Sorry to the staff, but my Frankie thanks you. I wish my people doctors were as kind and thorough. Because of insurance, people are rushed though. Not the doctors at Coventry. If there are several issues, they address them all. I cant say enough about Coventry. Keep up the good work.

My 2 and a half year old GSD became very sick very quick after eating breakfast so I called Coventry around 8 AM. They asked me to come in by 9. I was seen right away had X-Rays taken and found out it was Bloat and possible that his stomach could flip. They gave him IV and shots and sent me over to Metro for a possible procedure. Coventry was professional and loving as always and Im so grateful for the wonderful staff, Dr. Nichols, Chrissy and all of the other vet techs are awesome!!! Not to mention I brought my new 10 week old pup along who had an absess on his nose from a cut, they drained it and gave him meds all while having my other one on the IV. Talk about superwomen!!!
