Its unfortunate that I must write a below average review for this facility based solely on the receptionist. She began to insult my dogs and myself to another employee when she thought I could’nt hear her. She then proceeded to talk to me very cordially as if I didn’t hear her conversation. She showed no remorse and gave no signs of an apology even after I informed her that I overheard her negative remarks. I cancelled my appointment and will not be going there anytime soon. This was only a second follow-up appointment to recheck my new 6 month old dogs for kennel cough. I did nothing to warrant the slander. I believe the newer facility presents a false sense of security and staff professionalism. I believe The West Chester Animal Hospital facility has a unwritten “Quantity-over-Quality” service policy. I don’t understand how an animal facility can employee a person with such a negative attitude. I’m giving then two stars only because they treated my previous dog for 7 years without incident.

My dog had developed what has been a particularly difficult to diagnose ailment. I cannot say enough about the way Dr. Garvey has helped us navigate our way through it all. Even when we were referred to a specialist she called to see how things were and was a sounding board for what was being done. We have had to bring our guy back a few times to deal with different things that have come up along the way and both Dr. Garvey and Dr. Perkins have been so wonderful. Its obvious that they genuinely care about our dog. Also, I feel like they have been sensitive to the fact that we needed to be mindful of cost at the same as wanting to do the best thing for our dog. I have never felt that more conservatively priced approaches as a first resort were compromises in care. I also feel confident that the recommendation to go a different, higher cost route would be recommended if that was the honest opinion and best thing for our boy. If you need a vet, this is a great choice.

I arrived 5 mins late to pick up my dog on Sunday. (Husband missed exit.) I hoped that the kindness I have always been shown at WCAH would open the door. A young staff member, coming out to be picked up & taken home, offered to go in and get her! A minute or two passed, and she came out to say, "Elsie will be out in a minute." We waited outside the door for 20+ mins! No one ever came. Knocking on doors & windows achieved nothing. I was angry. It was our fault, of course, but 5mins? Waiting for 20 mins to be ignored after we were told someone is coming?? Unacceptable in terms of professionalism. Beyond disappointed. Should we leave WC Animal Hospital because of this? Not sure. Everyone there has always been so kind and professional. Our animals received good care. But now, not at all positive about the place. There are lots of good places to board, and get veterinary care.

Turned us away as new clients for boarding because they are "saving" the last few spots for clients they have had for "years, and years, and years." They also say that for holiday weekends, people book 3 weeks in advance. If this is the case, it would appear that no one is going to need those precious few spots that remain open (as the holiday in question is next week). So, they turn away a potential new client who would love to come for years and years and years in the hopes of filling the last few spots with people who most likely have already made arrangements. I wonder if the owners know how awful their receptionist is? Heres hoping! Now we will not use this vet for any of our pets needs. And, I will make sure to mention this to my moms group. Thanks West Chester Animal Hospital! And, Happy Labor Day!

I take my golden retriever dog, Simba, to be examined by Dr. Breda Perkins. In addition, She has taken very good care of my two previous golden retriever dogs. My present dog gets so excited whenever I utter her name. My dog loves her so much. Also I take my golden retriever groomed by Gina at this facility. My dog lives her too. All the employees at the front desk, Robin, Heather, Leslie and Christine are very good. I know them a long time thru my previous dogs. In short , I recommend my vet doctor, Dr. PERKINS to anybody who needs pet care. I love this facility and I board my dog as well whenever I leave town.

I have had dogs under the care of Dr. Perkins for over 30 years. She has supported me through the passing of several loved ones along with Dr. Foley. Two wonderful women. Every doctor in the practice has been wonderful and very supportive. The staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to help me with my very shy dog, and help me with our new cat since we are first time cat parents. The girls at the front desk all know my animals by name and their idosyncrasies. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice and any of the doctors to anyone for boarding and health care.

I have been going to West Chester Animal Hospital for over 25 years. I have taken adult dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and bunnies to this practice. The front desk staff and doctors are professional, responsive, caring and treat me and my entire family, like family. Dr. Perkins and all of the doctors are outstanding, professional and responsive clinicians who take time to listen. I have been and am mentored, encouraged and comforted through breeding decisions, end of life decisions…and everything in between. They LOVE animals and I LOVE them!!

I have used this facility for their kenneling and for the cremation of my cat. They are WONDERFUL. In regards to the kenneling, they were very accommodating, the facility was extremely clean, and their prices were reasonable. When I had my 21 year old cat cremated, I could not have asked for a better experience. They were extremely sympathetic and understanding...I felt like they truly cared. Additionally, their rates were reasonable and their turn around time was very fast. This is a great organization.

Fabulous practice! Theyve been treating my furbabies for over 15 years as I continued going to them after I moved much further away. My dogs and late cat love going there (even the one who is obnoxiously barking upon arrival) and they provide superb care. Additionally, the cost of care is incredibly reasonable compared with the fees at other practices (I work at a rescue and am able to compare fee schedules) which is always a plus

Theyve told us at different times that all four of our animals have heart murmurs. Then they want us to pay for a really expensive heart specialist to see them. It feels like a scam. Otherwise they are good vets but I do wonder why all the "heart murmurs" in our animals! The animals seem fine to me! The office is clean and the staff are very professional. Its one of the cleanest offices in the area.

Eh..... Some really nice doctors! Great for emergency care! They are very good and very professional. But, for regular vet appointments they are very expensive overpriced and the staff needs to be a tad bit more friendly. Moving our fur babies to a different practice where I feel like a "friend" not a number or customer. I love Aardvark in Exton - theres no comparision for regular vet care in this area.
