Going to Simmonds Veterinary Hospital and meeting Dr. Debbie Cougar was the best choice I ever made for my Diamond. Dr. Cougar saved my Diamond when I felt no hope or what looked like any recovery for my dog when she became very ill from pyometra. My Pit Mix, Diamond had gotten really sick at the beginning and during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. After a long stressful week and ordeal with the Vet I was taken her to, Dr. Cougar took immediate actions to help Diamond. I made the decision to get a second opinion and it was the best decision I made for Diamond. Had I not rushed her to Dr. Cougar, I cant say Diamond would be here today. When I first walked into her facility, I was surprised and amazed by how fresh and clean the facility looked. You would never have thought it was an animal hospital. It was so well organized and managed by her and her staff. I was in awe by the appearance of her establishment and very very impressed. Especially compared to my previous Vets faciltiy. At Dr. Cougars, I immediately felt safe and trusted her to care for my dog when she needed it the most. Diamond always gets excited when its time to visit Dr. Cougar. I strongly recommend and give high ratings to Simmonds Veterinary Hospital!!

If you are seeking personalized service for your four-legged loved ones and the like, then Simmonds Veterinary Hospital is the place to go. This is the practice that we have been taking our pets, and currently our dog and two cats. We even brought our rabbit; Vincent and Charlie; the hamster. Dr. Cougar and her staff have been providing care to our animals ever since she opened her facility. We have found Dr. Cougar and her staff to be kind, caring, diligent, thorough, extremely compassionate (especially when we needed to make a very difficult, quality of life decision for our beloved cat; Oliver), and knowledgeable. The costs associated with the care have been reasonable. Dr. Cougar has always offered alternatives and options for care. We love the practice.

Dr. Cougar is the best vet, and I have worked for several. I actually worked for her before I went into human medicine and I have seen what goes on behind the scenes - she truly cares for the animals and unlike so many vets nothing happens in the back that makes me, a lifelong animal lover and vegetarian, uncomfortable. She provides high quality care and really goes the extra mile for animals. Her vet techs are capable and the whole place is cleaned frequently. Its a small office and thus quieter - great for nervous animals (or people!). Plus, with fewer exam rooms, the staffs attention is less divided. Give Dr. Cougar a try - you wont be disappointed.

I have taken my two dogs to Dr. Cougar for several years and she is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She and her staff are friendly and make you feel at ease, patiently explaining options and taking time to make sure you understand whats going on. The office is clean and comfortable and both of my dogs (though one has sadly passed), loved going to vet and happily went inside. I highly recommend her to my friends... there really is nothing like going to a small office where they know you and your pets incredibly well. Weve never felt like "a number" or just another patient.

Dr. Cougar is really wonderful with dogs/cats and their owners! Also with turtles, snakes and geckos. And I could tell Dr. Cougar is extremely knowledgable with lots of experiences and really care about their patients health. And I really like the fact that Dr. Cougar is updating her knowledge and techniques whenever she has free time. The staff is all so professional and caring with the animals. Price is definitely not so expensive compared to other hospitals in town.

Not only does she fit them in for visits when she is booked, she more importantly cares for my animals as if they were part of her family. We took our 5 year old Chocolate Lab, Bailey, to see Dr. Cougar. Her ears where bothering her and as it turns out, Bailey had a double ear infection. Dr. Cougar was able to see Bailey immediately and prescribed antibiotics which cleared up Baileys ear infection quickly. Dr. Cougars staff was friendly and professional. They were extremely accommodating as we were new to the practice.

Dr. Cougar and her staff are very professional and super friendly. They give enough time and dedication for every patient. I never have to wait long to have my dogs seen. I would not take my babies any where else. The prices are very reasonable. The exam rooms are very cozy. It is very clean and no animal smells. There is plenty of parking. I would recommend this place to anyone.

theyre amazing! Ive been here several times with my guinea pigs which most people dont treat as serious pets. They remember their names, which one is which, which one is fussy, etc. They genuinely care and theyre always accommodating and they arent not as expensive as many other vets!
