My daughters took my dog to see Dr. Jones Thursday April 14th because he was having difficulty breathing. She took an xray and told my daughter he had fluid in his lungs, fluid around his heart, an enlarged kidney, and a tumor that worried her. When I called to speak with her to get more information and a treatment plan, she was with a patient. I left my number for her to call me but she called my daughter instead and told her Gato was ready to be picked up. My daughter picked Gato up at 6:30 and as she got him outside he collapsed. The tech had to help her pick him up. They still sent him home. When my daughters called me hysterical at 9:15 because Gato had collapsed and his eyes rolled back in his head, I left work and began the hour drive home hoping to find they had exaggerated. The girls called Dr.Jones in the meantime who told them to give him one of the Lasix pills she prescribed. When I walked in the door, he was clearly in distress. I still cant figure out why she did not give him IV medication to help relieve the fluid in his lungs. He would have been able to breathe better if she had. When I saw my Gato, he was having difficulty breathing and could not stand. I called Dr. Jones and left a message with the answering service that Gato was doing poorly and I was concerned he would not survive the night. Dr. Jones didnt even call me back. She had the answering service call me to tell me if I felt he was in that bad of shape I should take him to the emergency vet. Approximately 25 minutes later, at the emergency vet, my Gato passed away. I know a decision was going to have to be made for Gatos sake but at the very least, Dr. Jones could have relieved his suffering by helping remove the fluid built up in his lungs. My dog suffocated on all that fluid in his lungs and around his heart. His death was horrible to watch. That will be a memory my children and I will carry forever. Dr. Jones never even called me Friday to see how Gato did overnight. I am beyond disgusted. I have taken my pets here for approximately 15 years. I have recommended Dr. Jones repeatedly. I will no longer take any of my pets here and I will be sure to let people know of my experience.

All of the staff at Ark Animal Hospital have been fantastic. Our Boxer actually loved going to the vet, and everyone there treated him like he was their own. Unfortunately, our pup was diagnosed with lymphoma and his odds of recovery were bleak. We had to make the impossible decision to end his pain. Even in the condition he was in, he was still a little wiggle butt when he saw the staff. They were very good to our little buddy, and recognized that we loved him like a child. I am so thankful for the excellent care that Dr. Jones and the other vets there provided. When we are able to feel comfortable getting another dog, this will be where we go.

So impressed with Dr Jones and the entire staff at Ark. I had to put my cat Boo down a few months ago and the only thing I feel guilty about is not posting this right away. The entire staff seemed as sad as my family. They easily could have dragged it on for a few months for more money and pain for my cat and my daughter. They were honest and kept my costs down unlike other vets I have dealt with. I only went there one time so they did not even know me. But they treated me like family. I am forever grateful to the entire staff for how we were treated.

I was very disappointed to with my experience at the Ark Animal Hospital earlier today. I could not continue to work with the doctor after her assumptions about my Saint Bernhard. They were not prepared to work with his breed and really struggled with the manner of addressing me and my dog. As a new person to this area, I was really hoping to find a vet walking distance from our house, however I would drive 30 mins to have a vet who understands dogs and has a passion for animals than have this vet consult us on my dogs health.

Whether your pet is having a routine visit or an emergency, Ark Animal Hospital provides gentle, loving and thorough examinations, appropriate treatment, understandable explanations, and options. The entire staff is terrific. You will leave thinking that your pet is their favorite. We have taken our dogs to Ark for more than a decade. Even though our older dog had surgeries, shots, bloodwork, and other unpleasant procedures, he would head toward Ark on our walks so that he could visit the staff.

This is Vet just wanted my money. Just moved into the area, my cat is on a special kind of food and has been seen many times by a vet and is doing great on this food and this Vet refused to sell me the food without seeing my cat. She wouldnt even allow the Vet that had seen my cat many times to fax her all the information so I can just go buy my cat food. My cat doesnt need to be seen, he is very healthy on his current treatment.

Never had a bad experience with either of my dogs! I had just moved up to Reading from Lancaster, and found that the prices were more affordable, and the services was beyond my expectations and previous experiences with other vets. I truly feel that my dogs are treated well, and that the staff care about their well-being. I love Ark Animal Hospital! :)

I had an emergency with my dog Molly this evening. The answering service was helpful and got in touch with the doctor, immediately. Dr. Jones called me back and offered to see Molly even though it was after regular office hours. Dr. Jones was kind and caring and took care of Molly. I was very pleased with how she handled a very frantic "Pet Mom".

Ark Animal Hospital is wonderful the staff is beyond the very best! My family lost are beloved Buddy (miniature collie ) and the staff was wonderful during the passing of Buddy and after the loss I would tell anyone to go there . Ark is ten star rating in are family . Sincerely Heather Rodriguez

I have dealt with alot of vets in my years of owning dogs. Dr Jones is by far the best vet I have ever had. Her staff is very friendly and knowledge. Dr Jones will go above and beyond to help your pet and be there for you. I have recommended her to many people and will continue to do so
