After a recent visit at Piedmont Womens Health Care (Dr.Mariks office) I actually saw a different doctor in the practice (Dr. Ellis) that ended up dismissing me after saying I failed a drug test. Funny that the only thing I had in my system was legal perscriptions and she even perscribed me oxycodone that day. Dr. Marik had delivered my 1st two children and was to deliver my 3rd and at 38 weeks I still cannot even get her to respond to countless emails due to getting dismissed by a doctor I did not know and only had seen one time in my life. I just think it is very impersonal that Dr. Marik who I have seen for 9 years through 3 pregnancies will not respond to a telephone call or email in my last couple of weeks. Now forced to find a new OB while being embarrassed that I have been accused of failing a drug test. She is not the doctor I thought she was and is very impersonal. In the practice the office manager did adventually call me back as a courtesy to let me know that Dr. Marik was not going to respond. Maybe Dr. Ellis nurse, Lindsay, said it right when she said "well your on Medicade anyway". Fortunally atleast one person in the practice, the office manager, has enough decency to respond reguardless of my type of insurance!! I was told if one doctor makes a decision that another doctor cannot change that decision. Im surprised that a doctor is not allowed to make their own decisions even on someone that has delivered two babies under her care and followed her from one practice to another. To me it sound like an excuse or a reason not to have to deal with something, or then again my insurance is not going to get her enough money!! Up til this I would of recommended her to anyone I would of never thought that she would not even responded! I hope and pray for any patients under the care of these doctors will be fine. I would hate to have one doctor make a decision in the Operating Room or in delivery and another doctor not agree with the decision but not be allowed to override that decison due to the fact it was already made. Just because one person makes a decision based on their feelings doesnt mean that is right and I thought that was why doctors consulted eachother was on medical decisons. Needless to say it does not happen at this practice and Dr. Marik is either not allowed to or cannot/will not make a decision on her own.

I saw all the doctors here; Marik,Ellis,Davis,Fealty and Warren. I was very pleased with them all considering I started out with a different office. I had issues with depression and my baby was growing was so fast so they made sure they saw me every week. My child was born at 33.3 weeks and he is 9 months now weighing in at 22lbs. Dr.Ellis delivered me. We are all A-OK And I definitely recommended this office. Dr.Marik delivered 5 babies in my family and Dr. Warren has delivered 1.
