I have been going to SP-OB/GYN for my prenatal care. My monthly appointments were fine but as soon as I started my biweekly and weekly appointments, that is where I started to experience the poor communication between the staff and patient. Today 5/27/16 I had a 10am appointment and arrived at 9:45am. I was called in at 10:20 or so and was weighed, had my blood pressure checked and gave a urine sample then was asked to wait in the inner waiting area. I was not put into an exam room until 11am where I waited 30 minutes and still was not seen by a doctor. No one came to check in on me with a status update. I eventually got fed up with waiting and got dressed and took my chart to the check out to reschedule. I was told to hold on again and so I proceeded to go to the front waiting area to another receptionist to reschedule. The waiting room at this point was empty but it still took 10 minutes to schedule me a new appointment. I was out of there by 11:50am - that is approx. 2 hours of waiting! I was basically left in tears (imagine being 36/37 weeks pregnant, uncomfortable and obviously hormonal) and upset over the inattentiveness of the entire staff. They clearly overbooked the appointments for a Friday where the office is open for a half day and did not feel the need to inform their patients or apologize in a timely manner. They did not even offer for another doctor or a NP to see me, they just left me in a warm un-air-conditioned exam room. It would be too late to switch doctors since I am only a few weeks away from delivery but this experience left a terrible impression for me. ---- My last experience about 3 weeks ago, I did not even make it into the inner waiting room. I came for my appointment and watched everyone who came in after me (even new patients filling out paperwork) being called in. The medical assistants or nurses were pulling the charts out of order. The receptionist noticed me still sitting there and asked my name and whispered something to the other receptionist. I waited about 45-50 minutes before leaving... in tears! (Again... super hormonal and uncomfortable!) As soon as I left, they called me but I was too upset to even pick up. They apologized and said they dont know what happened and for me to call back so they can reschedule. Something needs to be done with the scheduling. I understand I am not the only pregnant person in the world but to wait 2 hours is completely unacceptable and ridiculous especially if you are 36/37 weeks pregnant!

For being an establishment that takes care of women, I would expect there to be a high level of attention being taken to ensure a prompt and thorough visit to address the physical and emotional needs of each patient. It is obvious that the needs of each patient do not take top priority seeing as in our 6-7 visits, we will easily wait over an hour, if not two from start to finish. At first I wrote it off as them possibly being short-staffed that day, possible complications that delay future appointments, or even emergencies that prolong each visit. The level of care that my wife received during our pregnancy was not indicative of a professional care establishment but more along the lines of a crowded business. Do not mistake this review as a complaint. There are doctors here that are genuine and sincere, however, there are some that see their patients as a time-slot on their schedule. All of the nurses and ultrasound techs have been a delight to work with thus far.

Dr. just wants you in and out, no conversation. Communication between office and patients is NON EXISTENT, I waited a week for some test results that were supposed to take a couple days to get and had to call 4 times to get ahold of anyone to tell me what the results were, my perscription got sent to 3 different pharmacies, none of which were the one I asked it to be sent to, and one of them was the one I specifically asked it NOT to be sent. I had to call 5 different pharmacies to find my medication after calling the office 3 different times with no answer, finally one of the pharmacies was able to tell me where my perscriptions were, I went to pick them up, my insurance didnt cover the brand of BC I was perscribed and there is no generic so they gave my doctor that information, its been a week and I still cant get ahold of anyone to get a different perscription. If you value any communication when it comes to your health dont go here.

I went for my first prenatal visit. I had a us done , an my babys heartbeat was not found. The doctor really couldnt say anything to me but "it sucks" an that shes experienced it. She offered me to do the miscarriage naturally, a d&c or the pill. I was in shock an wasnt ready to make a decision. By the end of the week i decided on the pill. I did alot of research on it , it seems very painful. All the ladies who did it got prescribed pain meds to because of all the pain. Ive been trying to get something for pain for 2 days before i do the pill an they havent gave me nothing or even call back. One nurse told me to take ibuprofen, but hello! Its like labor, i dont think so! I went to the spartanburg regional obgyn with my first , id recommend them an definitely not Spartanburg an pelham.

Some physicians within this practice offer simply a few minutes of routine advice, not addressing proper individual care. Appointments consist of hours of waiting to be seen for less than five minutes. Patients leave with unanswered questions, the pain that they came in with, and a feeling of neglect. Just because you are farther along in your pregnancy doesnt mean that you have to settle for less. ALL PATIENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO QUALITY CARE... see your list of Patients Rights!

I had a few wonderful appointments here with Dr. Haddad, but when I had a concern in early May and called trying to schedule an appointment, I was never called back. I tried multiple times over several weeks, leaving several messages, and to this day I have not been called back. I couldnt imagine putting my trust in this office if I was pregnant.

Poor communication. I have been trying to make an appt with Dr. Fowler for the past 3 weeks. I have left multiple messages and have yet to receive a response. Someone recommended Dr. Caroline Felty to me and that is exactly where I am headed. With the amazing reviews she has I wont have to worry about a thing.

My Doctor was awesome! She answered and explained every question I had. The only complaint is that my wait to be called back was really long. I had to remind them that I was still waiting. But, next time I will know. Overall, YES I will claim them as my new GYN!!
