I just got off the phone with Dr. Chitwood. I had a hard time keeping from crying. He was so kind, patient and understanding. Talking to him was like talking to my best friend. I was looking for someone who was involved in plenty of continuing education since the field of implantology is continually evolving. I had several concerns about getting my first implant, and was lost in the matrix of medscape and pubmed, finding one study to prove I had reason for concern and another that dismissed it. He knew I was long distance and it did not stop him from taking quite a bit of his time at the end of a long, busy day to listen to my fears and harrowing dental history. He gave me his un-divided attention and I knew I was talking to someone who really cares about each individual person he encounters. If I lived even within a three hour drive of him, Id be there tomorrow getting my surgery and giving him a big hug ( I may work that out yet!) He has such a long list of accomplishments and education, I cannot get over how far removed from the stuck up stereotypical surgeon he is! For all the fortunate folks who live in Murfreesboro, I want you to know there is an angel among you!

Like slow, agonizing pain? Mr. Chitwood will provide! His pain practices are ARCHAIC! A very close family member had a TERRIBLE experience with this dentist. He and the nurses REFUSED to listen when she told them she was in agonizing pain! They patted her on the head and told her to just pull through! She repeated over and over that compared to delivering 5 children naturally, THIS WAS THE WORST PAIN SHE EVER FELT! They REFUSED to give her more nitrous or novacaine, and continued the procedure as though nothing were amiss, while she is WRITHING IN AGONY BENEATH THEM! NO THANK YOU! Someone needs to put this dentist OUT OF BUSINESS FOR GOOD! What does the hippocratic oath say? "Never do harm to anyone"!!!!!! Apparently he skipped that part! NEVER GO TO THIS DENTIST, FOR ANY REASON!!!! HE IS ARCHAIC, EVIL, WITH NO COMPASSION OR RESPECT FOR HIS PATIENTS WHAT SO EVER!!!

This dentistry provides a wide range of dental services with exceptional technical quality, and superb patient orientation. Observations, obtained over an 18-month period for a dental implant and an extraction, revealed a staff having an unusually high level of competency and professional bearing. The procedures obtained were accomplished with virtually no pain or discomfort in any way due to carefully executed techniques refined at this medical practice. The consistently clean and orderly facility reflected the great attention to detail given every operational aspect. Prospective patients need look no further for expert dental care.

I agree with the person who gave this dentist a bad review regarding pain. It has been 4 years since I saw Dr. Chittwood. It was by far the most painful dentistry experience of my life. So much so that I have not been to a dentist in 4 years...I use to go every 6 months. I felt the entire extraction of my molar, and felt him stitch the area. I had tears rolling down my face and they did not care. I was brused down to the middle of my chest. I have had braces, root canal, and 4 wisdom teeth pulled.....this took the cake. By the way, I am writing this today as if it just happened, but it was 4 years ago.

My experience with Dr. Chitwood and his staff could not be improved upon. Outstanding really isnt adequate to describe the technical knowledge and professional demeanor of the staff. Although the entire staff was a part of the implant process, most of my time was spent with Dr. Chitwood and Donna. At every step along the way they educated me on the process to be undertaken during that visit and answered my innumerable questions with extraordinary patience. I walked out today with a smile on my face and looking forward to be able to eat my favorite foods once again.

I recently brought my daughter to "Implant & General Dentistry of Middle Tennessee." She is pursuing a career in the entertainment industry and needed some advice regarding her teeth and her smile. Dr. Flipse did a fantastic job of explaining what the best treatment would be and then followed up giving her tremendous results. Everyone from the front office, as well as the entire staff were super personable. professional, and efficient. We found it to be a great experience overall. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend their services to anyone!

I have been a patient of Dr. Chitwood for over twenty years. The office staff makes you feel very comfortable at every appointment and there is little turnover, so you can count on personal interaction from the front desk to the dental hygienist. Dr. Chitwood not only makes sure of your dental care but he also offers oral surgery including dental implants. He also is always up to date with the newest technology. So if your looking for a dentist that puts your dental needs first and knows what he doing I think Dr. Chitwood is the best.

Dr. Chitwood was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I drove over an hour each way to see him and boy am I glad I did! His staff Donna and Michelle were as professional as the Dr. himself! The office is immaculate! They have all the latest technology and no one ran in and out of the room during my exam, which I hate! It was 100% professional all the way! Id HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chitwood and his office to anyone that values perfectionism!

I have been going to Dr. Chitwood for over ten years (and my wife for over twenty) and I can honestly say that I like going to get my teeth cleaned. From the polite girls at the front desk, to the professional hygienists, and yes...all the way to Dr. Chitwood. They make me feel comfortable in an environment that I am typically not comfortable. And, I love the way my teeth look. Im not really sure what more I could ask from him or his staff.

Dr. Chitwood replaced a tooth that had given me pain for fifteen years. Now I dont even know the implant is there. Enjoying chewing on both sides again! Dr. C and staff were always cheerful and friendly and communicated what to expect very clearly. I was able to pay for everything up front, which was convenient. Super job!

In October, when Dr. Chitwood was on vacation, I broke a tooth. Fortunately, Dr. Flipse was available to see me. He assessed the tooth and was able to prevent me from having a root canal. The entire staff at Implant & General Dentistry of Middle Tennessee is professional and courteous.
