Paid over $250 just to be told my dog was fat (she isnt). She had developed corneal dystrophies over the course of a year, and his immediate and consummate diagnosis was she was fat. Guess what? Her lipids came back just fine, and her weight was on target. I had to figure out her problem on my own through (gasp) Internet research, and what it turned out to be was a diet too high in protein, specifically caused by Orijen. This should have been evident to an acclaimed specialist like Dr. Laratta, especially with the tearing and other symptoms, and over the next six months, after switching to a lower protein diet, her dystrophies gradually disappeared. Also, before, during, and after those six months, her weight remained constant (go figure, huh?). In summary, our visit to Dr. Laratta was not only a total waste of money, but he also delivered his diagnosis with a smug condescension born of his utterly wrong assumption I was over feeding my dog. The only thing overfed in this case was his ego.

Ever notice how payment in full is demanded before you can leave with your pet and/or meds? I spent thousands of dollars with VOS, only to lose my pet a year after the surgery...through no fault of VOS. But when I returned unopened meds for a refund, Im still waiting ONE MONTH LATER. Makes me regret my choice of doctors. The loss of my precious pet is still very painful. The outstanding refund is just one more unresolved issue. Their lack of understanding and compassion clearly reflects their MONEY above everything attitude. I feel I should have received the credit to my card in full, the day I returned the meds. Its what THEY would have demanded.

Dr. Laratta has been treating our cat, Bob, for a chronic eye condition for over ten years. Bob had a simple condition called entropion, which our local vets didnt recognize because it is rare in cats. Unfortunately the delay in getting proper treatment caused permanent damage. Bob goes in every 6-12 months to be monitored. On Bobs last regular checkup Dr. L found that Bob had developed glaucoma, for which he is now being treated. Dr. L and his staff are very skilled and very kind, and we are very pleased with the care Bob receives. Thank you to everyone at Vet Opthalmology!

I love my dog enough to have to foot the never ending bills for his chronic eye disorder. Enough to where he does not go blind; I do however think it is downright heinous that I should have to pay yearly for a complete eye exam when they already know his chronic condition just to get the meds he needs... Rant rant rant rant, not their fault, its the law.... :( Thanks for keeping my dog from going blind!

My Mother always said "if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all".....Im not my Mother! We spent over eight thousand dollars after cataract surgery trying to save the life of our beloved family member! We were not successful! We are heartbroken! The surgery is a decision that I will regret for the rest of my life!

Love this building? Want to pay for it? Very disappointed, $300 later. No diagnosis, more meds, come back each week for &300 a pop! Poor bedside manner from MD & tech! Was there for 2 hours...Left feeling worse than when I came in! Beware.
