They are getting a one star because I dont know how to give less than that. If you care about your animal then you should find another office. These people took x-rays of my dog said everything was fine and that they couldnt see anything wrong and sent us on our way with pain meds. 2 days later my dog is throwing up and cant keep any food down and another vet re-does the X-rays discovering a huge mass. My current vet said that it might be helpful to see the 3 day old X-ray to compare but when they called the Decatur vet they claimed they didnt have her on file. I later called the the Decatur vet and they lied and told me that the new vet had the name wrong but she didnt because I know my new vet spelled it out for them. The Decatur vet told me that if I could get ther in the 15 min before they closed at noon that I could get the X-rays but I live over an hour away. This lady then told me that they were not willing to wait an extra 20 min until a family member could get there to pick up the X-rays and that there would be no one on call to give us the X-rays until Monday. She told me that she was "sorry" I lived an hour away and that it was my fault because I hadnt called earlier (I have been at my new vets since they opened getting tests done and called as soon as I found out there was a problem) and then this worker HUNG UP ON ME. I called back before they closed to see if they would talk to my vet and atleast describe the X-rays to help and was put on hold until they closed and my call was never answered. Currently looking into who I need to make a report to about this.

45 minute wait to pick up the family cat after being declawed.....you are seen in the order you come in....so yes i had to wait for 7 other people to be taken back before they would bring my cat up front...not to mention i stood at the counter for 10 minutes before being acknowledged and that was even after the front desk clerk had a just for laughs moment with another employee that was standing next to me before going back to what she was doing for another 5 minutes pass before she could take the time to acknowledge me standing just on the other side of the counter from her ...once I was seen they were quick to take my money and even quicker to push me out the door...nothing more than have a nice day as the lady handed me my carrier and turned and walked off.....no conversation about care, nothing about when to take off bandages, not one peep about what to keep an eye on.....hell I wasnt even given a care sheet of any type.....they are definitely busy....but seem more worried about rifling through people as quickly as possible once they get around to you.....first impressions normally last the longest....I will go back to making the drive to Denton to take my animals to the vet there

I am so impressed by this office! I have to say that I had an emergency and was able to get ahold of Dr. Goerdel at almost midnight. He offered to meet me up at the clinic and assist however he could. I walked in the following morning(New Years Eve) He scheduled my dogs surgery for the next day. He was very thorough in discussing all of my options and even called me right before the procedure began. He genuinely cares about his animals! I will never use another vet again! When I picked my girl up the following day detailed directions were given to me for her post op care. When we got home she seemed to still be uncomfortable so I called the office and they informed me that they could provide her with a stonger pain medication. Even though they have an in house pharmacy Dr. Woller agreed to call her in a prescription to my local pharmacy since I live about 45 minutes from their office! I would highly recommend this office to anyone! Thank you Dr. Goerdel and your team from the bottom of my heart!!!

This is a no nonsense, honest, professional vet clinic. I like every vet in the practice. I always had used them for yearly shots and flee meds for my dogs because the cost was very reasonable. Until this week my dogs have been healthy. I had to admit my 10 year old Border Collie. He was so sick. I left him there for IVs and antibiotics with prayers he would come around. I stopped in the next day unannounced and the very busy girl at the front desk was so kind when I asked how he was and if I could visit. She was more than understanding and made me feel good about his progress. After visiting my dog the vet was stand in the hall filling out a chart for another dog and she took the time and filled me in on every detail on how he was progressing the past 24 hours. Im very happy with Decatur Vet Clinic. You may wait for your appointment but its definitely worth having them for all aspects of my dogs health. Thank you to all the vets there.

It was a long wait, but they didnt give me any BS about what was wrong with my dog. Ive been to several other vets and they wouldnt take X-rays. They did first thing here and lo-and-behold they found the root of my puppys problem right off. On top of that, the surgery they are suggesting costs a fraction of what a Haltom or FW vet would have charged us. At first I was upset I had to wait so long, but I came later in the day so I understand the back-up. But the care, honesty, and price are worth the wait for non-emergency situations. Update: my pug has fully recovered from the surgery and its like we have a whole new pup! The doctor was right and fixed his problem (square hip joint in a round socket) and now I have the happy, energetic, crazy pig puppy I expected. Thank you so much for everything youve done!

I live in fort worth and drive to this vet. Very reasonable prices , high on common sense and needs of animals. I have each vet at this hospital care for my animals ATone time or another over 10+ yrs . All are great. This place should be the standard for all else to follow. The care for both donesticate pets and farm animals eith stables and runs for single animal to herds. No appt necessary. But always packed because they are that good. So come as early as u can. Last sign in taken at 430 (i t hi nk) .... i cant say enuff good about this place but hope the fact i frive past 12 + other vets over 45mins to get to this one will say enuff. They have met me at 3am in morning for emergency care and waited till i got to decatur. These guys are great.

I cant believe the positive reviews. An average wait is 4 to 5 hours. This is no exaggeration! I have never seen any of the vets there smile. The all look like they hate their jobs. I was just in there Thursday. A woman came in with a flower arrangement and said it was to thank the vets for caring for a pet that obviously had died. The woman was crying. After she left the receptionist said very coldly " I hate it when they cry". I use to put up with the poor customer service and the long wait because of reasonable prices, but now the prices have risen considerably and it just not worth it anymore. I will never go there again.
