have never, ever met a chiropractor who was as attentive and talented as Dr. Shepard. Hes not one of those chiropractors who tries to reel you in and keep you as his perpetual patient simply to make a buck from you. If he never saw you again because you were doing fantastic, hed be thrilled! If he knows of something else that might help or if he even just has a few *potential* ideas, hell tell you - i.e. taking a vitamin complex to help migraines, switching from a stick shift vehicle to an automatic transmission for pain in the left leg, referring to an MD for pain meds and muscle relaxers, seeing a surgeon if youre beyond his scope of repair, etc. This man genuinely cares about his patients. He keeps very detailed notes on each patients progress - so much so that he could easily pinpoint what works and what doesnt work. When he asks how youre doing, a simple "Okay" wont suffice. He wants to know how youve *really* been feeling. How have you been sleeping? What kind of pain are you in? How long does it last? Does it radiate? How are the headaches? How often do you get them? How does the pain feel exactly? Where do you feel it? What do you do to treat them? Are there any activities that cause an increase in pain? Do you wake up because of pain or wake up in pain? The list could go on and on. Since he is a wellness doctor, he takes a very broad look at why youre experiencing the pain youre in, and he has a whole gammut of ways to treat his patients. He is very particular about the equipment he selects. From the Kinesiotape, to the Pettibon equipment, to the tables he uses, to the spinal rejuvenation tables - he knows them inside and out and he chooses everything with great scrutiny. He is a graduate of Palmer School of Chiropractic, and he has a large amount of techniques at his disposal. I now refuse to see any chiropractor who didnt graduate from Palmer because of the vast array of techniques that Palmer teaches. Not all chiropractors are created equal, but Scott is truly the best of the best - and believe me, Ive seen a LOT of chiropractors (namely, 9 in the last ~2 years). He saved me on numerous occasions, and I only wish I lived closer so I could be his patient again. All of his staff members were simply great as well. From reception, to billing, to chiropractic assistant, to the physical therapist - all of them were great and were always a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this office 10 million times over.

Dr. Shepard is awesome!! When I started seeing him, I could barely walk as I was in excruciating pain from pinched nerves in my hips. He made a lot of adjustments and got me back to were I could walk for miles again. Ive been going to Dr. Shepard for 2 years now and he has been a Godsend!! I have a really bad back and he keeps me straightened out. I had fallen down the stairs, landing on my backside. I had x-rays done to ensure nothing was broken, when everything came back fine, I went to Dr. Shepard, he had me back and ship shape in no time. His adjustments and therapy really improved my healing time. He is very personable and listens to his patients. His staff is wonderful and they are all so friendly!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sheppards for over eight years. Initially I saw him for back pain that I had suffered for years with. Dr. Sheppard was attentive, and took the time thoroughly explain my situation and the plant to treat my specific issues. I honestly can not tell you the last time I have had back pain!! If you are looking for a Dr. who listens to you, treats your whole body, and wants nothing more than for you to feel great, Dr. Sheppard is the Dr. you have been searching for!! His staff is one of the best in the area, and create such a wonderful experience from the time you check in to check out. I highly recommend Dr. Sheppard.

LIFE CHANGER! I started going to Dr. SHEPARD over 10 years ago. At the time any sitting for a period of time or any exercise put me in lots of pain. Dr. Shepard xrayed me first and then went over my xrays with me in detail and then told me without a doubt that he could help me get better. That was when I was 37. By the time i was 42, i had done 3 half marathons!! I have also been less sick since i have been seeing him. His staff is top notch and always professional and friendly. Wonderful Chiropractor and staff!

I had a TMJ jaw problem for over 25 years. I even went to a specialist at Duke University about it. Scott Shepard permanently fixed it in one minute with two thwacks of an instrument he has. Then there were the headaches--headaches are one Dr. Shepards specialties. I had splitting, debilitating headaches for months. Dr. Shepard knew how to treat the root of the problem, not just cover up the symptoms. Georgetown is lucky to have him.

Wonderful Chiro ! I have been a patient here for 5 years. I have chronic back problems due to a football past. I was told by another that back surgery would be needed within months. I went for a second opinion and Dr. Shepard told me to give him 6 months and he could prevent the surgery. Its now been five years, I did not need the surgery, and now only go in routinely for an alignment. Very trustworthy Dr and great a staff.

Best Chiropractor Ive ever been too! My husband and I are truck drivers, and we have tried so many different chiros in most states. I suffered from some pretty bad left side of the neck pain which caused the worst pain in the side of my left temple. Dr Shepard was the first chiropractor anywhere that was able to tell me what was wrong and fix it. A few years later hes still the only chiropractor I go to.

He helped me heal from an auto accident and treat the pain without using pain medication. He resolved another problem with my arm that the orthopedist thought only surgery would resolve. Comparing Chiropractors I have seen regularly for the last 30 years, Dr. Shepard is absolutely the top of the list. He is a great listener and focuses on results. When requested, he also takes time to educate me on prevention. He is also great with children. He solved a significant long term problem with one of my kids that other doctors could not resolve (hoping "grow out of it").

He does great work! I am now living in Montana and was the passenger in several car accidents. Even though we lived several states apart he still helped me get better. Helped me find the doctors I needed, what treatments would be helpful, and much more. He is always willing to take you under his wing and make sure you are getting the best care no matter where you are.
