No matter how well staffed one may believe a home-care facility is, their employees cannot be everywhere all the time. There were unexpected times when my dad would fall or injure himself without the caregivers knowledge. Though they may hear him down the hall in his room, the damage would already be done, and all they could do would be to patch him and make sure he did not break bones. I began searching for assistance and recruited a firm whom I thought would do the job to keep Dad safe... make sure Dad remained in his wheelchair and that someone was available when he would wake from his afternoon nap. It appeared that the afternoons were the worst hours for him. That organization did not work out. From all that occurred, it was a waste of funds and I was ready not to hire anyone at all. Then I passed by the Home Instead Senior Care sign located on Hewitt Drive in south Waco/Hewitt. I spoke with Brett and decided right away that he understood my concern... the safety of my father. Dad was old and ready to meet the Lord, but as an Alzheimers patient, I did not want him suffering from broken bones or other traumas that might occur from falls. My father has passed on now, but I have complete relief and assurance that his final days were spent without pain and suffering, I pray that I will never have to endure the experience again... but, rest assure, if I do... Home Instead Senior Care of Hewitt will be my first choice. Thank you to all of them.

We used Home Instead for nearly four years, both in our home and at an Alzheimers facility, to help care for my wifes parents.
