I saw Dr Silvers on September 1st. I was given an air boot, and was told he wanted me to do Cold laser treatments. 8 in total. Everyother day. I am a self pay. So Im paying for this out of pocket. I did the one treatment. Payed for my next treatment in advance. After speaking to several people who had done the treatment. Everyone of them noticed no change or difference. So called and cancelled my appointment. And requested a refund. I was told they send refund checks out on Fridays. It would go out September 9th. I waited 2 weeks before I called to ask where my check was. I spoke with Victoria who forwarded me to Lauren in billing. Who told me my check was sent out on the 9th. I should have recived it. I was told maybe I threw it away thinking it was junk mail. This is not the case. I waited another week. Now this is September 26th. I called an spoke with Victoria who once again forwarded me to Lauren. This time Im told. There was a mistake. It wasnt sent out on the 9th. I was actually sent out on the 23rd. Today is October 3rd. I just spent 10min, 37sec on hold. Again spoke with Victoria who put me on hold. Then almost 11min later I spoke with Lauren in billing and accounting. Once again I get the " Checks in the mail". And Im supposed to speak with Christina whos not in today still No answers. We are now 32days since I cancelled my appointment and requested a refund from this office. I feel for anyone else like myself who is self pay, cant get thier money back. I caution anyone who is looking to go here. DO NOT pay in advance!!! I will now update EVERYDAY until I actually get my refund!

Dr. Silvers is wonderful; however, the way Billing is handled is LESS THAN DESIRABLE!! I had a procedure done the end of 2012, the Billing Department charged the full allowable. I paid using my Health Spending Card. Jan 2013, the Billing Dept sends me a letter saying they overcharged me and returned funds to my card. FYI...the Health Spending card expired 12/2012 and I cant use those funds for 2013 medical expenses. So, the real question is "Why overcharge me"?? I returned in 2013, this time for my son. I like Dr. Silvers. The Billing Department charged the full allowable and because my 2013 individual deductible increased. On my next visit, they charged me the difference saying, "it is allowable." When we returned for next follow-up visit #3, they inform that I had a $8 balance to include an additional allowable dedutible difference. OKAY! Do you see a pattern here?? So 30 days later, why did I get a bill in the mail the for $8? Because the dumb lady didnt add the $8 to the "allowable amount". This $8 was the balanced owed from the intial visit. So WHY did not the lady add on as she collected from me on 3 separate occasions? I thought she did. NO! I called the Billing Dept to discuss. Did they waive their mistake? NO! I get another bill for $8 plus $10 late fee. If YOU decide to visit....(1) DONT USE A HEALTH SPENDING CARD AND pay with PERSONAL funds. Then file for reimbursement. Otherwise, (2) PREPARE YOURSELF to hand over a large chunk of money as this Billing Department seems to be incompentent with using simple math.

First visit i waited at least 1.5 hours past appointment time, I was only called back after I told them I would have to reschedule since I had another appointment across town. Dr. Lloyd was pleasant and his nurse was good. Second visit I was seen and in and out quickly. I was excited that I found a Dr that was so good. Went in for my third visit and was behind a car that was in a wreck. I was 3 minutes late, when I went to check in they had a new cancellation policy they wanted me to sign requiring 24 hours notice or they were charging a fee. It did not say except for emergencies and had no clause for any waiving of fees. I told them I was not comfortable signing this. Then a few minutes later I was called back to the front desk due to issues with my insurance. I had proof of coverage from the insurance company and they refused to see it or make a phone call to verify the information. I had to either leave or pay out of pocket for the visit and xray! Today I called and they were so rude and unhelpful I told them I am changing doctors. They are going to charge me $30.00 for my records! I still have to calm down because they have an almost $50.00 credit on my account I need to get refunded.

I had 3 visits over 6 weeks. The service I received was acceptable, the staff was friendly, and treatment was fine. The only issue I had was wait time, 2 out of my 3 visits I had to wait at or longer than an hour past my appointment time. Like most doctors visits I try to show up 10 to 15 minutes early to have ample time to fill out the necessary paper work and check in. Im not a stickler with appointment times within reason, every one has to eat or take bathroom breaks or fill out their own paper work but a full hour behind with no notice and no update from the staff was unacceptable. I too have a schedule to keep and other appointments and people who depend upon me to me timely. 10-15 minutes behind is no big deal to me but when it starts reaching 35-45-55 minutes it makes a person feel as though they are unimportant.

Overall, the experience was very positive but one aspect of doing business with them is off-putting. Even with insurance verified, you have to pay for your office copay before being seen. That was awful, just unusual. Back in the exam room, I was quoted the cost of treatment which I authorized. Before I received a treatment, I had to pay for services (one treatment 3 months in advance) before I was taken to the treatment room. I have insurance, my credit card worked up front for my $75 copay, why couldnt I have paid on my out like you do at most other medical facilities? I could maybe see this practice in a poor/depressed neighborhood but not in Stonebridge Ranch area. The doctor was very nice, the tech was nice. I do recommend them, be prepared to pay in advance.

I just returned to Advanced Foot & Ankle in McKinney for an appointment for a new concern with my foot. It had been well over a year since my last visit. I returned to this office because I was pleased with them last year and am still pleased. The staff are excellent and very friendly. Dr. Silvers is an excellent physician. I feel really confident in his diagnosing and thought process for treatment. Will definitely remain a patient and refer my friends and family

Dr. Hadfield was great! My son had a seriously infected ingrown toenail removed. It was very painful, but Dr. Hadfield did a great job and has a wonderful bedside manner. We cracked jokes through the entire procedure in order to make the best out of a painful situation. Within a week the toe looks great and my son feels much better. We will be going back again for another procedure and I will definitely refer people to Dr. Hadfield.
