After 24 hours of constant vomiting and diarrhea, fever, extremely elevated heart rate and lack of sleep I decided to go to the ER at Methodist Hospital on Campbell, since I knew my G.P. had rights there. After a couple of hours in the ER, CT scan and some blood-work the doctors determined that I was just severely dehydrated and because my heart rate didnt go down I would have be sent to the hospital. Little did I know that they closed that hospital on Campbell and required me to be transported to this hospital via ambulance ($1500 post insurance bill). Once I arrived at the hospital I was taken to a room where I spent the next 22 hours watching TV in a bed hooked to 3 or 4 IV bags for "re-hydration", one shot of anti-nausea to keep the water down, a couple of ibuprofen for fever and intense headaches, tap water and a couple cups of non-jello "Jell-o". While the obvious is true the facility was new and clean (I mean it is a hospital), and I received lots of attention from mostly friendly people (coming and going almost exclusively to take temperature and blood pressure, but only immediately after I finally fell asleep). So needless to say it was a very uncomfortable 22 hours that I could have easily done at home (san IVs). After nearly three months post hospital (just before Christmas) I start getting bills, form people and service that I had no clue I was dealing with. For instance: $2100 for CareFlight (6 mile journey from ER to Hospital), $1900 for some emergency staffing company, $600 for Radiology, $550 for Digestive Health, $400 for my GP and to give insure you come back after suffering hear-attack $15,000 for Methodist of Richardson. After receiving all these bills I demanded to get an itemized list, just to make sure I dont pay for the same service twice and to make sure I am not paying for service I didnt receive, to this day (over 9 months later) no one from this hospital will send me this, nor talk to me about this un-ethical and immoral rapping of my bank account and credit. My total bill after insurance is about $6,000. Just to put in perspective: In 2011 I went to a hospital for a bowel obstruction (similar feeling to this instance, but ended up being much worse and caused by a z-pack and/or food poisoning) for 4 days and nights between two different ERs and two hospitals, with an ambulance ride, 5 CT scans, a MRI, many additional X-rays, countless IVs and antibiotics, morphine and many other drugs and services with a total bill for everything was $7,800 pre Insurance or about $1,200 out of pocket. Moral of the story is the greedy people at Methodist Hospitals will never see my business nor money again.

Terrible ER. We took our 4 year-old son there after he got a cut on his forehead. The place was deserted they had only one other patient there and we waited for half hr before the "doctor" showed up. The "doctor" didnt gave him anything for the pain or topical anesthesia. They wrapped up my son in a blanket to prevented him from moving even though he was calm because the were supposedly getting ready to close the cut then left us waiting for another half hr while the "doctor" joked with staff and sipped from a cup. Finally, I decided to ask what was going on I they said I had to wait for the "doctor" to be ready. We finally decided to leave and take my son to a different ER (Presbyterian Allen) in less than 40 min they treated and discharged him.

Horrific experience. Will never go back again. Waited three and a half hours to get my daughter seen by a doctor. In the meantime, there was only one ER nurse taking care of 20 incoming patients. Doctor was good once we got back but the waiting room was horrible. I had to help someone with a bleeding head wound because there was no one from the hospital there. At one point, we had to bang on the doors and scream for help because one of the patients was passing out.

This was the best ER I have ever been to in Texas. Facilities were clean, well organized, comfortable, and up to date. Though we came at a late hour the medical staff was very efficient, and got us tested, diagnosed, treated, and discharged within a very reasonable amount of time. Staff was very courteous and friendly. We didnt have any insurance but the billing department was very polite and didnt rake us over the coals like some other hospitals do.

Worst nurses here and doctors are always taking days off. If you are planning to have a baby here then you will see the most hostile staff who just wish you werent there. Ive never ever felt this way in any hospital in my 25 years of hospital visits. Will ask everyone I know in the area to avoid this unwelcome hospital.

I had to take my wife to a hospital in the Richardson area, and I must say, we have been to quite a few hospitals before, but this one had the cleanest facilities, nicest staff, and gave us the quickest and most professional experience. A+ in our opinion.

Had my daughter here in November I loved it such a beautiful hospital! Got to keep my daughter in my room! Nurses where very caring. Except one she was rude and had to get her changed but besides that it was great!

I arrived at 12:45, doctor saw me by 1:15 and I am on my way out. Very friendly service people and quick also. Friendly and quick; where you really want to go, even when you dont want to go.

My wife & I have used this facilty several times since it opened and the staff & doctors have been woderful. The emergency room has been very busy at times but the service is always timely.

Worst experience ever. Damage to a vein and excruciating pain. Do not think it was an RN. They refused to tell me who did the damage. Contacting my lawyer about this!!
