I had never been to Monarch Dental but I went there because I had a bad tooth that needed to come out. The staff there was awesome. They first set me up with a female doctor but as time went on she could not finish the procedure so Dr. Loiseau, who is the oral surgeon came to my rescue. It was a very difficult extraction but the minute Dr Loiseai walked in I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and relief and I could feel I was in good hands. He asked me how I was doing and assured me that he would have the tooth out in no time. He also explained every step of the way what he was doing which was so comforting. He was very gentle and had the best bedside manner of any doctor that I have been around in a very long time. I went back for a follow-up and his demeanor was exactly the same very kind soft-spoken and gentle. I have worked in the medical field for over 30 years and I can tell you that this doctor is passionate about his work and his patients. I highly recommend him. The entire staff at monarch was awesome. They make you feel so welcome and they want you to feel very comfortable there. The office was very clean and Neat which was very impressive. If you have any doubts in going to Monarch I can assure you that you wont be sorry. My brother has also gone there for all of his dental work and he has always been well pleased. I will never go to another dentist as long as I can see doctor Loiseau.

This place is a dumpster fire. Worst dentist office Ive ever heard of. I dont know if its ALL Monarch Dental places or just this one, but my experience has been so terrible I wont even go near the Monarch name again. Despite terrible first 2 visits as new patient, the second of which had to happen immediately because they cant keep the place staffed yet dont alert you to say there will be problems fulfilling your appointment, I decided to make a 6 month follow up and give them one last chance. I had already waited way longer than my scheduled time, seen a cockroach skitter across the floor, been told to buy like 4 crowns on my first visit (unnecessarily), had to make 2 trips for my 1st exam, never saw the same tech/dentist twice, and was left to wait after the 2nd appointment for half an hour because no one would let me pay so I could leave. Not to mention a few other nagging inconveniences. THEN I showed up today for 8 a.m. and was completely ignored for 10 minutes until they told me someone couldnt make it into work on time, so I would have to wait until 9! I have never written a bad review on Google but feel a human responsibility to save anyone else from suffering this place for something as important as dental care. Avoid at all costs.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I heard a lot of not so great things about Monarch but was like hey Ill give it a try, I wish I didnt. First, my appt was at 8 a.m. in the morning and they told me to arrive 15 minutes early. The place wasnt even open, the secretaries & main dentists werent there, I know this because I saw them all pull up and get out and then they couldnt (myself included) get into the building because the person with the keys wasnt there yet. So then, the lady who I guess worked the front desk asked which dentist I was seeing, I told her I wasnt sure because I was just told to come at 8 by whoever made the appt with me and she was like "Oh you were Amys patient but she called in". No notice of any kind and so I was free to go home but then secretary took me information to make an appt and I never received a call.. I wouldnt have made an appt anyway because that kind of business practice is scary and I wouldnt want them drilling my teeth. boo Monarch.

HORRIBLE!! Appt was at 1. Didnt get taken back until 2:30. Another patient in the lobby said their appt was at 10:30 but she didnt get called back until 1:30!!! Keep in mind these patients havent been able to eat or drink anything for 8 hours. When we were finally called back we waited in the dental chair for another 30 mins. While waiting, we saw another patient get left sitting in the chair with her mouth to open for 10 minutes. The dentists had her get up and move to another room. Then I saw the dentist in the hallway MOCKING AND MAKING FUN OF THE WAY THE PATIENT WAS WALKING!! Keep in mind the patient was half way through her procedure and walking around with her mouth propped open. Extremely rude and unprofessional. No apologies for the wait, front desk people are short and rush you. They were openly talking about how they hate a particular insurance because they dont pay and gossiping about other patients, techs and dentists.

I went in 1 time, today I get a bill for 57.00 after I have paid the 5.00 copay. I was told I had periodontal disease, incase you do not know what this is, range from simple gum inflammation to serious disease that results in major damage to the soft tissue and bone that support the teeth. In the worst cases, teeth are lost. I was told I had 3 cavaties, I was told I had to get a night brace of some sort for grinding of teeth. The bill was to be 1200.00 plus after my insurance paid 80%. I went for a 2nd opinion with Dr. Luk in Richardson. Come to find out my teeth show no signs of grinding. I have no cavaties and all I need is a deep scale cleaning. Cost me.....160.00 total, and they waved the 5.00 copayment. If I had a chance to rate Monarch Dental a (negative) -10 I would but it only lets me rate at the worst 1 star. I called them today and they say I went in 2 days. The 2nd day I went was to retrieve my dental records.

I will give them 6 stars if possible. When I got there, the office staff was very friendly, sometimes the manager even comes out of her office to greet the patients. Theyll find ways to finance your treatment and as I said they are always friendly. I am honored to say Dr. Kim is the best I ever had. He was very friendly, very professional, highly knowledgeable of treatments. Anesthesia didnt work on me the first time and he said: dont worry will find the way for you. And he did. He prescribed some pills and the laughing gas. I will highly recommend Dr. Kim and his nurses (if that is the appropriate title). They are just the best! Dr. Kim made sure I was comfortable when treatment was performed and he always check that I wouldnt have some pain. I came from another Monarch Dental Clinic were the main doctor was so rude and I will say very little knowledgeable of treatments.

I have terrible teeth and have been to several dentists to have one pulled here or there. I finally met with Dr. Day and he is working with me and my dental fear and care. He has begun pulling teeth and I will soon be fitted with dentures thanks to an understanding and outstanding staff at Monarch Dental in Mesquite. No other dentist would help me because I am only 33 and they do not recommend dentures that young. Well, my teeth are rotten and I have severe periodontal disease and have been in pain for years. It is time they come out and Thank God for caring dentists like Dr Day and his entire staff that has helped me so far. I look forward to going to the office now because I know they will address the issues at hand and make me feel comfortable while they do it. KUDOS to Dr Day and his staff!
