Horrible People Horrific Treatment!!! DO NOT use this facility, unless you have absolutely no other choice even then I would think long and hard before walking in there. All they care about is money. I needed a few things done and I called my Dental Insurance Provider to give me a break down summary of my current dental benefits. I had a year waiting period for major dental which includes crowns, bridges, dentures, partials, surgical extractions and dental implants. A lady from the front desk informed me that I had wonderful insurance benefits and we would get started right away. After going over things I was then presented with a treatment plan estimate and which I again questioned the year waiting period. Only to have my worries met with reassures. Only to be hit with a HUGE bill months later that no it is not covered and I’m to pay the bill. After speaking to my Dental Insurance provider it was bought to my attention that Brittany from the office called and got specific codes and was that time informed about my waiting period for major dental. I feel that the office staff misrepresented itself. I was told one thing by the office when they knew what they were going to bill for would be denied which would leave me with a balance. Come to find out to make matters worse the ROOT Canal he did ~ tooth eighteen abscessed a few months ago and will have to be surgical extracted now. So, I get it now why they are called ROWLETTSMILES!! They lie and smile in your face while stabing you in the back taking all your money. I have submit a formal legal complaint to the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. I do not nor will I ever recommend this PLACE to anyone.

As a happy patient of Rowlett Smiles, Id like to counter that last bad review with some reason. Ive been going there for 2 years now and was a patient of the wonderful Dr. Hamilton before she left the office. I have not seen Dr. Boren personally, but I have always been quite pleased with the staff there and always treated with respect. Ive had cleanings, fillings and a crown done and not once did I feel I was being ripped off. If you have a brand new insurance policy and you are aware that you have a 1 year waiting period for major dental work, you should always confirm that directly with the insurance provider regardless of what the office staff tells you. People make mistakes, but Ive worked with Brittany as well and have never had her give me incorrect information. When I had to have a crown, I took their quote and I called my insurance directly to confirm everything would go through as planned. Had they told me otherwise, I simply would have cancelled my procedure. It is unfortunate that incorrect information was given, but it is still the patients right and responsibility to confirm any portion of treatment that might be theirs to cover and not rely on someone else for that peace of mind.

Ok, I am a cheap skate. And i an phobic of needles. So you can bet I shopped around a LOT before deciding where to get a few things done. 1x Root canal 2x fillings and 1x crown. With this place I saved over $700 combined over the next reputable place out of about 25 places that I priced! I was worried (by the price) that it would be a cut rate kind of place.... NOT SO!! It was the nicest dental office i have been in. Dr. Boren (I think was his name) was very good with me. Very patient explaining the process and the expected outcome. The work took at most an hour and a half total, and I barely felt a thing. In fact,It took several hours after the finish of the procedure (the root canal) for the site to hurt at all. And even then was not nearly as bad as my family had me expecting. Really, I was shocked. I would really recommend this place to anyone. (really really)

I am a very anxious dental patient with extensive older fillings needing repairs, and replacements. The staff has been completely respectful and kind of heart about my dental anxiety. They are professional, keep accurate records, VERY clean and yes I would recommend this office to anyone!!! Yes dental work is expensive, dental insurance is not like health insurance, it covers very little past your actual insurance yearly payments. The office managers are very clear about costs, they put it in writing and you can pay in advance for an additional small percentage off. All in all it is the nicest and cleanest dentist office I have ever visited.

Dirty facility and horrible treatment - doctor kept going back and forth between me and several other patients. I cant tell you how long I waited there by myself with that slurpy straw hanging out of my mouth while he tended to who knows how many other people. I took a picture of the particular office that I was in which I wish I could post on here for all to see. Absolutely will not ever return here and I would advise you to do that same.

All of the staff at Rowlett Smiles is exceptional. Theyve taken care of all my dental needs for over 15 years. I wouldnt consider going somewhere else. I refer all my friends & family. I am nervous about dental procedure and both Dentists are compassionate, patient and understanding. The DH are spectacular and the office staff are also.
