We spent one day at Caresource and would not recommend their services or facility to anyone. When my wife asked the Hospice Doctor what happens if they were to get well, the Doctor just laughed at her. This was during our first consultation with the Doctor. We had the Suite room (at $205 a day) which was nice, however the television was a 19 inch set that was across the room and difficult for a bed-ridden patient to view a program. The nurse & CNA board (written names of who the patient is dealing with) was again across the room and could not be read. The oxygen generator was placed in the bathroom due to the noise, when we requested a quieter one, we were told that is all they had. The nurses assistances (CNAs) were very unprofessional and seemed just like they had just gotten out of a two week school of training. Our first CNA was surly and obviously didnot like her job. My wife had to keep reminding the CNAs (when they giggling changed her briefs) that she was not a 4 year old. There is no internet connection for Email, Laptop or Ipad connections, so if your loved one want to communicate via the internet, is impossible. Some old gentleman kept wondering into her room, which the staff wasnt aware of until we contacted them. It is a beautiful facility, and as I say "pretty bricks", the family out side the room has great surrounding while they are waiting for grandma to die, but the patient care is lacking behind the room door.

Seems to me that the nasty review was a reflection of someone who was grieving for a loss and blaming anyone and everyone for it. Too bad, since this company has been winning nursing and home health care and hospice awards for years as a Best Of State winner on a number of fronts by public voting. In addition, they even host an Annual Benefit and raise money for uninsured hospice patients and their families who cant afford end-of-life care!!! Does this sound like a "run-of-the-mill, dont care about anything- except-the dollar bill"-kind of company? Our family experienced high quality care for a number of our family members and have recommended this kind of care to other people with similar challenges. I will contact others we know to share their experiences with CareSource!!!!

CareSource hires untrained and inexperienced staff, fails to inform family members of impending death, leaves critically patients alone for long periods of time, fails to coordinate services of in-house physician and nursing staff, bills for medication that is not needed by the patient, orders medication after a patient has died, logs in services that are not performed, fails to coordinate communication between staff about urgent patient needs, fails to inform family members of an emergency, fails to follow up on emergency calls, fails to enter essential information in medical records, and fails to provide a protocol for registering complaints.

I cant even believe the review of Nov. 19, 2009!!! The review sounds like someone who was on another service and is thoroughly confused!!!! My experience with my Father-In-Law was totally the opposite experience. From receiving Home Care at his residence when he needed it to being admitted to THE RESIDENCE at CareSource when he was diagnosed as a hospice patient and through his final days....nothing but EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE in every category....patient care, meds, physician involvement (and updating of family members of my father-in-laws condition), staff members who were genuine and sympathetic to our familys needs. Can I say MORE?

My experience with Caresource was an amazing experience. Losing my father was the hardest thing that I have ever had to deal with. They were compassionate, respectful, and truly cared for the well being of my father as well as my mother. They were informative and were upfront with what to expect. The facility made it comfortable for visitors as well as talking with loved ones. Thank you for taking such good care of my father and those that loved him!! I would recommend Caresource to everyone I know.

My father passed away at The Residence last year. It was an amazing experience! The nurses that took care of him made sure we understood the dying process and made us as a family feel well taken care of. I am so appreciative of the staff of how they made such a difficult time for our family so memorable. I am grateful that Utah has this type of building and service. CareSource was the best choice for us and the staff truly cares about what they do. Thanks to all!

They provided good care, were kind, and even fed her when she couldnt eat. It was inviting for her friends to visit and they were well accommodated. It made her day when the chef asked her what she wanted for dinner on the first night. Way better treatment than the rehab hospital that wouldnt feed her when she was too weak to eat and ignored her pleas to go to an ER for 2 weeks.

My grandmother just died at The Residence and I felt comfortable being there the whole time. It wasnt like being at the hospital when she was there, everything smelled good and the café was enjoyable to be in. It was a nice place to be during a difficult time.

Like a peaceful resort. Inside and out, the grounds are special. Horses next door give you a place to look and absorb this change of life. They took great care for my dearest friend Jon.
