Zero respect for patients or commitment to their health. I was a patient for nearly 5 years but have since left because their staff are unable to perform the most simple requests. Evergreen Family Health has a policy that you must come in for a check-up in order for prescriptions to be refilled. I abided by their rules for many years; every office visit I would request that my prescriptions filled for the year, and they were never sent in. Each time I needed a prescription my pharmacist said they had expired. Each time I had to call Evergreen and fight over the phone with the staff and explain that I had in fact requested refills at my last visit but it was never done. The final straw was June 2013 at my last visit. I was clear at my appointment and requested all new refills to get me through to June 2014. This was never accomplished per usual, and in December 2013 I was informed by my pharmacist that all my refills expired. For two weeks in December I argued with the staff who stated I needed to return for a visit while I firmly stated I had already had a visit but my refill request was ignored. Finally they conceded and stated that they would refill them. Unfortunately they only filled the prescriptions for a single month, and did not advise me that they ignored my request for a 6 month prescription or 1 year retroactively. Today, I am no longer a patient and without a refill of Albuterol, an asthma medication vitally important for my health. They failed to refill my prescriptions in December and refuse to now that I am no longer a patient. I even spoke to the Manager of the practice and while explaining the situation she promptly hung up on me. Unsurprisingly, my new doctor still has not received my medical records that I requested to be sent in December. Now I am without my medication and cannot get in to see my new doctor until April 22nd. Evergreen has effectively wiped their hands of their responsibility for my care. I cant stress enough how grossly mismanaged this practice is. To consistently forget or ignore requests for prescriptions is actively playing fire with a persons health. It is one thing to have a policy, it is another to be so negligent. Ive been on the same asthma and allergy medications for nearly 30 years. It is absolutely ridicules for someone like myself, on life long medications, (that are not controlled substances) to have so many outrageous hoops to jump through.

To begin, Evergreen DOES take Medicare.I recently switched here from another practice, at a friends suggestion. At the first appointment, the doc had clearly read through my records. Better yet, the doc asked me questions, listened to me and respected my responses, which is rare. Ive had too many docs who simply told me what they were going to do and had no interest in my feedback - despite the fact that its my health and my body. Im grateful to my friend for telling me about Evergreen Family Health.

I was with this practice for over 14 years and they dis-charged me over $200 that I owed, right when medication that I need expired and all they offered up was "pay it and then well help you." They have zero respect for their patients and apparently have forgotten the oath they took to enter their profession. Money over their patients well-being is apparently their main concern and its disgusting.

I have been a patient at Evergreen for over five years and I couldnt be happier with the professionalism of the staff, as far as Im concern the other medical practices in the Chittenden County area could learn a great deal from them.

Good family doctors office. Sometimes the wait is extremely long, but we brought our very sick infant in and they saw us right away.
