After dealing with a pill mill and patient mill, I decided to select Wayne Wu for internal medicine and as a primary care physician. I needed to make an appointment quickly, and they were able to get me the next day. At first I was a nervous because many physicians I have encountered DO NOT listen, talk to fast, and basically run a joint that appears to have this revolving door. But I digress, the nurse came in. All the normal stuff was taken; height, weight, temperature, and I also requested blood work. After all the regular stuff was taken by the nurse, she said Id be seen few minutes. This normally means 15 or 30 minutes (Based on past experience downstairs as well as other physicians offices). To my surprise with then a minute or two of the nurse closing the door, Dr. Wu stepped in, shook my hand, and prepped me for blood tests as well as referring me to specialists (psychiatry and a buprenorphine practitioner). I already have a buprenorphine practitioner, so she just faxed their office. The psychiatrist that I was referred to (for anxiety, ADHD, and depression) has been, by far, the best psychiatrist I have ever received treatment from, hands down. Prior to the appointment with the new psychiatrist, he provided me adequate medications that I needed, and he also keeps things recorded well and up to date. Remember people, physicians do not know your thoughts. You did. Therefore it is crucial to tell everything. Intern and family practitioners are not splash therefore if they recommend or refer you to someone else, its best to take that advice. You need chemistry between yourself and the physician, and you should also take into consideration their ideas as well as opinions, and also ADVOCATE for YOURSELF! If you dont do the last, you might as well talk to a cashier about medical issues at the supermarket. All in all, I find my physician excellent!

I have found Dr. Mitchell to be very good, and hes one of those rare doctors that does two important things: he listens to patients and he learns from his mistakes so he learns not to repeat them. He realizes hes a human being and not infallible, which means the rare time he does make an error it is not repeated. Like trusting other doctors when they read an X-ray or other diagnostics that they were correct in what they thought the item proved. Now, he double-checks whatever another doctor says they found (or didnt find), and on some occasions he discovers they either missed something or misread it. A very good trait in a doctor, indeed.

Dr. Mitchell has been our family doctor for many years and the staff have been nothing short of professional. His bedside manner is superb and always calls back in a timely fashion with lab results. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell and am very sorry to hear that some may not had the same results. The only thing I can imagine is that sometimes they may be over loaded with new patients. Good doctors can be hard to find. Keep trying.

I picked this Doctor in January and after trying to schedule my first visit for 3 months, I was finally told I would have to wait another 20 days to meet with him, and i had serious abdominal pain all this while, and yes, I ended up going to the ER. I have since changed Doctors. Another thing, just getting someone on the phone was hard

Dr. Mitchell is absolutely fantastic. His bedside manner is superb and hes never heard a stupid question. He always calls me back in a timely fashion with updates from my lab results and is great to answer questions then. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell.

Dr. Mitchell has been my "family" physician for almost 15 years. Hes extremely knowledgeable, caring and always practical. Ive never felt like "just a number" when meeting with Dr. Mitchell. Plus he has an excellent staff. Huge thumbs up
