This was the best dental experience of my life. Apparently, they are very used to travelers who need multiple things done in a single day, and were so politely accommodating of my rushed schedule. That was the first unexpected and pleasant surprise. Next, I warned the nurse/dental hygienist (Im not sure what her title was) that I ALWAYS gag when they put in those...whatever they are, those things that you bite down on while they take your X-rays. She was so gentle that I didnt gag once - first time ever! Dr. Ahmadian himself was a treasure. I ask a lot of questions when I go to doctors and dentists, and I hadnt been to the dentist in several years so I had the typical issues that come with poor dental hygiene, like gingivitis and multiple cavities. A lot of doctors get a little impatient when you have lists of questions, but Dr. Ahmadian seemed calmly enthusiastic to show and describe my x-rays, answer my questions about home care. At the end, he encouraged me to email them when Im abroad again with any questions about upkeep or dental care, even if Im not seeking it through them. The last major plus was that throughout the process, since cost is always an enormous issue at the dentist (especially on a student-saver insurance package), the secretary/nurse double-checked the prices before anything was done, and the Doctor went over the itemized list of procedures with me, explaining what theyre for, their prices, which I could skip if I was trying to go toward the frugal end, etc. That, to me, is above and beyond honesty and care. I will absolutely be making my next dental visit here, when Im back in town. And Ive even started flossing. Every dentist has told me to before, but this Doctors thorough explanation (with visuals!) about the course of gingivitis really sold me, and Ive been flossing nightly ever since. Thanks to this staff!

I would highly recommend Dr. Hossein Ahmadian and his team at Arlington Advanced Dental Care to anyone who may be looking for exceptional dental care here in Virginia. Dr. Ahmadian is, by far, the best dentist I have ever experienced in over 50 years. He is not only very knowledgeable, but he has a calm and kind personality, which made the visits much more pleasant. Before each dental procedure, he patiently took the time to explain the process in great detail, and his reassuring demeanor continued to put me at ease. I never experienced any pain or swelling either during or after receiving a root canal treatment, two crowns and several fillings. I highly recommend him to all of my friends and family members. I was also impressed with his friendly and professional assistant named Brandis who made me feel welcome and comfortable whenever I went to visit. His office manager, Ashley, continually provided me with exceptional customer service and always went out of her way to ensure that all of my insurance questions were answered. She met with me early on to ensure that I was aware of the costs of each procedure, and explained the billing process to me in great detail. She was a joy to talk to, and I truly appreciate her helpful, positive and cheerful attitude. I was truly impressed by Dr. Ahmadian and his wonderful team, and I plan on staying with them forever.

In March, I went to Dr. Ahmadian for a routine teeth cleaning, the dentist who I have seen for the past 1.5 years. I though all had gone as planned during the teeth cleaning, until Dr. Ahmadian slyly indicated that I had a chipped tooth. When I inquired about this chipped tooth, he explained that it happened during the cleaning. I immediately asked Dr. Ahmadian for his availability to fix the chip immediately, but he indicated that he did not have the time in addition to having another patient waiting. He asked me to come back the following week. When I did so, after having experienced pain and sensitivity throughout the entire weekend, I advised Dr. Ahmadian of my dismay and shock of his unprofessional behavior and lack of quality customer service during the prior weeks teeth cleaning. He denied any responsibility for the chipped tooth and deflected any accountability for his dismissing my request for immediate repair on Friday. I also advised Dr. Ahmadian that it was not fair nor ethical to charge the insurance company for his error. To my continued disappointment, Dr. Ahmadian submitted an insurance claim and is now obliging me, the customer/client, to make payment for his mistake. I will not revisit Dr. Ahmadian and will cease to recommend him moving forward. Stay away!

For many years I have periodically had sensitive and sore gums and teeth in one area of my mouth. I had been told by dentists that I must be grinding my teeth. At one point I got a mouth guard that I could not use because my teeth hurt more. I used toothpaste for sensitive teeth, various gels and creams, and over-the-counter pain medication to try to help the situation. This past year I moved to Arlington and started seeing Dr. Ahmadian. He, too, initially thought that a mouth guard might help but he said he wanted to x-ray the area where the pain seemed the worst. This area was where I had a bridge. Much to my surprise, Dr. Ahmadian x-rayed the area and said that the teeth appeared to be infected. He removed the bridge and the infected teeth and discussed with me the options on how to proceed. What I want to stress the most is that I have not had any pain or sensitivity since he dealt with the infection. I had experienced years of the off-and-on again pain and am now pain free. Dr. Ahmadian is very precise and thorough. He takes the appropriate time to do his work. He is also very careful to make sure that my bite is correct when the work is done. I highly recommend him for his honesty, professionalism, and his ability to do complex procedures.

I found Arlington Advanced Dental Care on Yelp. I have been going to this dentist for about 5 years now. I find that quality of the dental work is the best I have experienced. I had a cap on a root canal I got done from another dentist a 10 years ago. It was too bulky and the color was a bit different. I had tried to get it replaced twice before from 2 different dentists (once out of pocket). But it did not come out right. I felt like food got trapped in-between the teeth so I had to floss and use mouthwash frequently. After going to Dr. Ahmadian for a while for other dental work, I got my confidence back and decided to replace the cap for the third time. My new tooth looks and feels very close to how God created my own tooth! I dont have to floss or use mouthwash so frequently anymore. My new tooth matches in exact right color/size and I totally love my smile now. Dr. Ahmadian worked on it very patiently to get it right and cared for what I thought about. He was also able to understand delicate details I was picky about. Even the temporary tooth he put in place was very good; that it did not come out like with the last 2 dentists. Staff member Sintia is also very nice and remembers me by name. She is also very accommodating.

Dr. Hossein Ahmadian - I cant thank him enough. His staff helped me get in to see him and scheduled me late because I had started a new job and couldnt get off early. I was in severe pain from what was diagnosed as an abscessed tooth. Dr. Ahmadian stayed two hours late with his assistant to help me. He didnt rush even though it was late and they were closing and he took his time and was very patient with me even though I was crying terribly. They also advised me of a dental discount plan because my insurance wont go into affect until July. The discount dental plan will help with my situation and save money. Cynthia and Kelly are so very helpful and I couldnt be more grateful for them and Dr. Ahmadian for helping me. I am feel so blessed to have found them. I always was panicky at the dentist but he has such a calm demeanor and other than being in severe pain, I had so much confidence in him. I did feel bad for crying so badly and I was trying to suck it up and not be a baby but I couldnt help it, I had been in pain since the previous Saturday night and they took me in on Monday as a new patient. Amazing place, clean, modern and up to date procedures and equipment.
