when I make an appointment for my daughter they rush me off the phone. Then today I call to make a appointment for my youre my daughter at small I made an appointment for my daughter who has eczema on her skin . The cream they gave my daughter made her skin worst that its on her face arms legs and tummy now. It only was on her tummy at first. My appointment was for 10:10 I was going to be about 3 mins late. They rescheduled me to 11. So I arrived 10:39. I was not taken back till 11:28. (Im in the offices typing) the lady on the phone told me if I come I would be called back sooner than 11 but I didnt get called back till 11:28 and was out by 11:40 because I walked out. The doctor got upset because I asked how much longer will we be I have to be somewhere. I quote "oh Im sorry you have somewhere else to be." I told her yes I do I didnt know this would take this long. She then went on and showed me pictures of black people skin who has eczema. I told her I know how it looks. So I repeated "Im really not trying to be rude but I have somewhere else to be at 12. The doctor says Im sending the the medicine off right now. I said "ok is that all. " she shook her head yes. I walked out without saying goodbye. This pissed me off for the day ! Btw she tell me the cream isnt for her body it was the crisis of her arm and leg. Like what the point if its all over her ? My daughter doctor is crystal but she was seen by the African-American doctor (sorry I dont know her name but shes the only one on that office)

I have used this office since my oldest daughter was born, she is three. My first impression was NOT good, my doctor was Rayna who is no longer there. She was very judgmental and critical, Ive never seen a doctor push to introduce formula to prevent jaundice, havent done that with my other two. After that we switched to another doctor, all was well for a while. Last summer my middle daughter had diarrhea for a week straight days and I was told it was a stomach virus, that it would subside. On day 10, it did not go away, I was also noticing blood. We had a lapse in insurance at the time so they refused to do the fecal test. I ended up going to chkd emergency room for that. I still stuck with this office. But the final straw was this week. My 9 month old had been seen for an ear infection last week, this week on Tuesday I noticed he had what looked like thrush, just like last time he had it. The doctor I saw told me he was biting his cheeks & thats why it looked that way. He only has 5 teeth, all in front! We went back on Thursday and saw some one else, I did not mention my previous appointment on Tuesday. And what do you know, she said your baby has thrush. I like the doctor we normally see there but when I had an issue and need to get in the same day, I have to choose who ever is available and my experiences have not been good unless it was with Dr.Scaccia, its like they dont take me seriously. I will now be switching.

Took my grandbaby to the clinic for a first time appointment that I made myself with the male desk clerk. I was asked by him was i the mother or grandmother i advised i was the grandmother, he not once told me that mom had to be at the initial appointment, he told me to arrive early to fill out paperwork. I get there and was refused service because i wasnt the child mother, than the male clerk said he thought i was the mother and he had asked me and i told him grandmom, with no remorse, im sorry you had to drive 20 minutes across town, burn your gas and then he lied saying i didnt say i was the grandmom. I didnt like his attitude so i start fussing just to have to turn around and not be seen for the appt. They said mom have to call to set the appt when mom call they refused to allow my granddaughter to come to their facilities. The whole process were terrible! What happened to the male clerk who was being rude and lying is my question?

I found out about Dr Scaccia through word of mouth, and Im amazed how much I absolutely love him! Im very hard to please and I just had my first child 10 months ago. He was the first pediatrician I tried for my daughter, and he will be the last! The Dr and his office have nothing but be efficient and kind, with a smile. The staff gets you in the back quickly, and Dr Scaccia has never left us waiting. He offers great advice, listens to all my first time mommy worries intently, and has never made me feel rushed or as if anything else was more important than my daughter and I in that moment.I recommend Dr Scaccia and his team members every chance I get!

About 5 years ago, we made the best decision for our children. We decided to switch to Dr. Scaccia for our primary care physician. The staff is great and very friendly. We have always been seen in a prompt manner, which is fantastic and a huge plus! The children love Dr. Scaccia and he is always there to lend a helping hand. He is very knowledgeable and I feel very comfortable with him being our PCP. He has never once made us doubt his opinion. As a parent, I think that you would be very satisfied with Dr. Scaccia and Renaissance Pediatrics as your childs provider.

I have been taking my two children to see Dr Scaccia at Renaissance Pediatrics since they were born, almost 9 years ago. I have never had a bad experience and have always been taken promptly. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Scaccia is the best! He takes his time and makes a point to hear what my children are saying. He is a very kind and knowledgeable physician. They enjoy going to the doctor! I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Scaccia.

Dr. Scaccia always impresses me. He is attentive to the medical needs of my children. He listens to what I have to say, but more importantly he listens to my children. He always offers good advice and treatment during each and every visit. We are always seen in a timely manner. He responds to emails promptly, which is always appreciated. Best of all, my kids like going to the doctor!!!!

My son (12) and my daughter (10) have been with Renaissance since birth. They both see Dr. Mangrum. She is amazing! Very thorough, caring, and patient. I couldnt imagine taking my kids anywhere else. I also love the patient portal. You can easily schedule appointments, update information, print vaccine records, and many other things! Renaissance is the best!

Ive been going to this practice with my three girls since they were all babies! Its been 15 years, and they are just as efficient and caring as the first time they meet me. They are truly thee best Pediatrics in the Hampton Roads area. If you need a pediatric doctor, this is the place. ALL of the office staff, doctors and nurses in this office are awesome!
