PLEASE save yourself your time and energy and find any other doctor’s office to visit. I am STILL receiving calls and letters from an appointment nearly a YEAR ago regarding an outstanding balance. Never in my life have I been to a doctor’s office where they could not correctly bill me for services. I have spent countless hours on the phone with the office and with my insurance trying to get this taken care of. I have had the same insurance for years and never once as this happened before. Not only were they unable to correctly process through my insurance but they are charging me for tests and lab work that I did not request or know anything about!! If you want to go to a doctor’s office where they run whatever tests they like just so they can bill your insurance and you, then this is the place for you. That is, as long as you don’t mind spending countless hours on the phone with incompetent people.

I got blood work done under Dr. Anand Loathe. Turned out my resting blood sugar was 300. I was a 6ft 170 lb 26 year old man. I am in excellent shape and have always been in excellent shape. Dr. Lothe diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes. He said there was no way I was a type 1 diabetic, and that I would be "wasting my time" to get a second opinion by going to an endocrinologist. Luckily I didnt listen and got a second opinion. That was 2 years ago. The endocrinologist I went to quickly diagnosed me with Type 1 diabetes by running a basic antibody test. He may be a good doctor for other illnesses but I would not recommend if you are having blood sugar issues.

I have been seeing Dr. Lothe for over 8 years now and he is the most caring and conscientious person I know. He personally calls me with my blood work and keeps my interests at heart. Whenever I need a specialist, he has always sent me to top doctors in Richmond for treatment. I never question who he sends me to as they are experts in their field. I have had several surgeries with them and always pleased with the results.
