I received poor quality of care here. I have gone here many times before and was happy with the care I was receiving until recently when I saw a different doctor. For starters, the medical assistant that assisted me had awful bedside manner and Dr. Evans, who did my procedure was talking to me about billing while she had a speculum inside my body. Incredibly unprofessional and insensitive care! I did not have my new insurance card with me and told them that because of the importance of the procedure that Id rather pay out of pocket now and send it to my insurance later if that is what was holding up the exam. They explained to me that the procedure had to be done and I was unwilling to risk my health because of not having an insurance card on me at the time--apparently they had a different idea of what was more important. I had already undressed and was waiting on the exam table for the doctor when she told me I needed to call my insurance before they could continue. Having a pelvic procedure is already a vulnerable and uncomfortable situation and then to have your doctor ask you to solve a billing problem when you dont even have pants on is an absolutely repulsive model of care for a patient. I was literally pulling out my credit card to hand to my doctor while on the exam table. Then when she finally started to do the procedure the medical assistant opened the door to tell Dr. Evans that I do have insurance. I then expressed to Dr. Evans my feelings about having someone open the door during my procedure and she explained to me that the MA letting her know that I do have insurance was important for her decision making on how she is going to proceed with my procedure. When I asked how me having insurance or not informs the kind of care I receive I then learned that less biopsies would be taken if I did not have insurance. So unacceptable! With or without insurance I deserve the best quality of care and I believe that she was stereotyping me and making the assumption that I could not pay out of pocket. I work in a clinic and when someone forgets their insurance card we call their insurance and it is no problem, but this whole experience felt like a shakedown. I will be finding a different obgyn.

If you value your time, do not go here. It once was a nice place with many doctors. Recently all the Drs but one have left. After hesitating I decided to schedule my appt anyway. I show up early and end up sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes. The receptionist assured me a few times it would only be a couple more minutes. When the nurse practitioner came and got me she mentioned that no one had told them you were there, not apologizing. She then led me to 3 different exam rooms, trying to find a suitable one. Once in the room she mentions we forgot to take my weight so we have to go back out to weigh. Then she leads me back to the room and tells me to change into a robe. After Im changed she comes back in and explains that my insurance wont cover the visit because I am one month shy of a year. She starts to get an attitude because I tell her I do not want to pay out of pocket and will just leave. I mention that they should have told me about this when I scheduled the appointment and rudely she remarks, "well its not the receptionists duty, you should know when your last visit was. Its your responsibility to keep track." Needless to say the whole experience was a waste on my time and they were very rude and unprofessional. I will be finding a new place.

Great doctor who really cares and listens. Worth every moment you have to wait to get an appointment. She is knowledgeable and competent. I had to have surgery and the recovery was easy. Dr Evans was so reassuring I was completely calm and relaxed.
