As a recent college graduate pursuing a career as a surgeon, I was very fortunate to have the wonderful opportunity to meet with Dr. Nezhat. He ever so graciously took me under his wings, and I have been his intern since September. Working with Dr. Nezhat is truly an honor and a privilege. Words cannot express how appreciative I am for being able to learn from him and his outstanding team. My internship includes seeing patients, observing surgeries, conducting research, and working at the Million Women March for Endometriosis Headquarters. Every single patient I have seen with Dr. Nezhat and his fellows has nothing but wonderful comments to say about their experience. The most remarkable thing I have experienced, and continue to experience, is the great sense of humanity and compassion Dr. Nezhat and his fellows embody, when dealing with each patient. They genuinely listen to patients’ stories and actually care about personalizing and administering the best treatment for these girls and women. I have seen a multitude of physicians, due to my own health conditions, and it is very rare to be treated as kindly as Dr. Nezhat and his fellows treat their patients. My early encounters with patients, whether it was before or after their surgery, made me quickly realize how incomparable Dr. Nezhat is to other laparoscopic surgeons and endometriosis specialists. Without a doubt, from the testimonials of his countless patients, Dr. Nezhat is the best in the world, as easily proven by the numerous women who travel not only across the nation, but from around the world as well to see him. While I am still in the beginning stages of my medical education, I have learned more than I ever have at any other internship. Not only does Dr. Nezhat teach his fellows the necessary skills to successfully perform his surgery, but he also teaches them the art behind healing, which I find to be very humbling. I wish I could thank Dr. Nezhat in a way that encompasses my eternal gratitude towards him. He has enriched my life in so many ways and I know he respects me, even though I am incredibly miniscule in his world. All I can say is that I will always strive to follow his footsteps and to never let him down. Dr. Nezhat, thank you for revolutionizing and enlightening the expectations I should hold myself to as a future surgeon. I hope I will make you proud.

Dr. Nezhat and his colleagues performed a minimally invasive surgery on my wife for endometriosis, which we discovered after a painful, late-night visit to the emergency room. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Nezhat and and his team were incredibly supportive, empathetic, and encouraging. They patiently explained everything that we needed to do, all the steps in the process, and what we should expect afterwards. Everything was very clear, and all our questions were answered. They provided us with all the information we wanted, including primary source articles. On the day of the surgery, everything went perfectly, and after a speedy recovery, my wife was back to playing beach volleyball in just a few weeks :) The surgical scars are tiny, and the surgical teams attention to detail was outstanding; they checked for all sorts of other problems, and luckily found nothing other than endometriosis. Its so rare to find a doctor who is willing to invest this kind of time to actually get to know their patients, and Dr. Nezhat is a brilliant example of a real, honest-to-goodness doctor who cares about the people he helps. He is what I wish every doctor could be. Dr. Nezhats extensive experience and soothing manner inspire confidence, and in this hurried, modern world of health insurance and "managed care," his compassion, empathy, and dedication to patient care have an almost old-fashioned quality. But at the same time, he has pioneered cutting edge techniques for minimally invasive surgery. I am so incredibly glad that we chose him to perform my wifes operation. A big thanks also to Dr. Parsa, with whom we also worked closely prior to the surgery! He was also incredibly informative and reassuring. The whole team was excellent!

Dr. Camran Nezhat saved my life when after multiple surgeries my pain remained debilitating and doctors at the Mayo Clinic declared my remaining symptoms to be "all in my head" had referred me to their psychiatrist. My symptoms were actually endometriosis that had deeply penetrated through my diaphragm muscle under my heart and lungs and into the sheath of my phrenic nerve. It was scarring my liver to my diaphragm so every breath felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife. in my shoulder and an ax above my navel. He had operated on me previously but he listened and went back in and did not give up. He changed my life. I actually was able to resume my career and carried a child to term in my early 40s after multiple miscarriages. THANK YOU DR. NEZHAT. I will be forever grateful to you, my personal hero!

I have stage IV endometriosis, i have had seven surgeries . Two Laparotomies and 5 laparoscopies. I even went to Dr. Seckin, one of the renown specialize in new York city who did not care about my well being, performed laparotomy which gave me more problems and pain. However, i will say i had a wonderful experience with Dr. Comran Nehzat. He was very patience , he listened to me and was willing to help me. I live in Maryland, i flew with my mom to California to stay for a week. The surgery was performed at Stanford hospital. It was all worth it. I feel much better. I thank Dr. Nehzat and his team for the great experience. If you have endometriosis especially stage IV and you are experiencing pain. I will advise you to try Dr. Comran Nehzat in California.

I was referred through a Dr. in the central valley he was the only Dr who would refer me out since I had HMO where I worked which was a medical clinic. This was in 1990s no one had ever talked about endometriosis to me we thought constant pain was adhesions. I went 3 years here in Visalia trying to get someone to listen to me they all thought it was in my head. no energy, flu like symptoms for 3 years. Dr. Nezhat saved my life. Changed my whole life around. the most caring, kind surgeon I have ever met. Truly a guardian angel for Womens health. There isnt enough stars to review him with.

Dr Nezhat is far and away the best doctor/surgeon I have ever met and nothing I can say really does justice to the man: he is extremely intelligent, a compassionate and caring person ,and a truly outstanding doctor. I count myself truly lucky to have found him.
